It developed along the Boerdonkse Aa. Boerdonk was home to 177 people in 1840. Until the municipal reorganization of 1994, Boerdonk was located in the municipality of Erp. Since 2017, it is part of the municipality of Meierijstad.

GS Staalwerken Stadion (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈstaːdiˌjɔn də ˈbraːk]) is a multi-use stadium in Helmond, Netherlands. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home stadium of Helmond Sport. The stadium is able to hold 4,142 people and was built in 1967.
