The Dutch Cavalry Museum is located in the centre of The Netherlands in the city of Amersfoort. The museum is hosted in two large buildings at the Bernhardkazerne army barracks. The collection contains small objects, like uniforms, firearms, silver, paintings, scale models, etc., and larger objects, like vehicles, armoured cars, tanks and related equipment, that were or still are in use with the cavalry of the Royal Dutch Army. The museum covers over 425 years of history, and shows the visitor the evolution of cavalry from horseback to the modern tank.

Amersfoort concentration camp (Dutch: Kamp Amersfoort, German: Durchgangslager Amersfoort) was a Nazi concentration camp near the city of Amersfoort, the Netherlands. The official name was "Polizeiliches Durchgangslager Amersfoort", P.D.A. or Amersfoort Police Transit Camp. 37,000 prisoners were held there between 1941 to 1945. The camp was situated in the northern part of the municipality of Leusden, on the municipal boundary between Leusden and Amersfoort in the central Netherlands.

Amersfoort Centraal is the main railway station in Amersfoort in Utrecht, Netherlands. The station was an important link between the western part of the Netherlands and the north and east of the country until December 2012 when the Hanzelijn opened.

Oud-Leusden is a hamlet in the Dutch province of Utrecht. It is a part of the municipality of Leusden, and lies about 4 km south of Amersfoort.

Culture House Eemhuis is a culture house in Amersfoort, Netherlands was designed by Michiel Riedijk in 2013. The building houses cultural organizations including: a library, institutes of education, a school for arts, and spaces for art exhibition.

De Saffraan is a restaurant located in Amersfoort in the Netherlands. It is a fine dining restaurant that was awarded one Michelin star in the period 2010–2014.GaultMillau awarded the restaurant 15 out of 20 points.Owner and head chef of De Saffraan is Kars van Wechem.The restaurant is located in a 100-year-old clipper named "Hoop op Welvaart", which is moored at a quay of Kleine Koppel in Amersfoort. The clipper is completely renovated and adjusted to its role as restaurant.

Museum Flehite is the historical museum of Amersfoort and Eemland in the Netherlands. The museum was founded in 1880 by the "Oudheidkundige Vereniging Flehite" (Archeological Association Flehite) (1878). In 1890, the museum moved to the first of the current three-part building on the Breestraat (Breestreet). Since 1976, the museum has been managed by a separate organization. The museum was closed in 2007 due to asbestos contamination and a large modernization, but the museum reopened in May 2009.

The Koppelpoort is a medieval gate in the Dutch city of Amersfoort, province of Utrecht. Completed around 1425, it combines land and water-gates, and is part of the second city wall of Amersfoort, which was constructed between 1380 and 1450.

Soest is a railway station located in Soest, Netherlands. The station was opened on 27 June 1898 on the single track Den Dolder–Baarn railway. It is the only station with two platforms on the line.

The Den Dolder–Baarn railway is a railway line in the province of Utrecht, Netherlands running from Den Dolder to Baarn, passing through Soest. It is also called the Sticht Line (Dutch: Stichtse lijn). Opened in 1898 in order to link Baarn with the city of Utrecht, it is operated by Nederlandse Spoorwegen and belongs to ProRail. The railway line is 11 km long and was electrified in 1948. The line is single track, with a passing place at Soest station. The line has 5 stations: Den Dolder, Soest Zuid, Soest, Soestdijk and Baarn. There used to be two more stations on the line: De Paltz (1898-1933) and Baan Buurtstation (1898-1948), the original terminus of this line. After the line was electrified, the line was extended to the other existing Baarn station (which has been the current terminus of this line ever since).
