1-5 Edwardes Place is a grade II listed terrace of five houses set back from but facing Kensington High Street, with the road into Edwardes Square running alongside no.1, with the similar but longer Earl's Terrace on the other side.The terrace was laid out and built from 1810 to 1819.The entire terrace was acquired by Hugh Morton Shand (1815–1890), British army officer and businessman.Alexander Faulkner Shand (1858–1936), the writer and barrister, and patrilineal great-grandfather of Queen Camilla, lived at no. 1.The terrace was grade II listed in 1969.

Kensington Row is being built by St Edward, part of the Berkeley Group. The development comprises 160 apartments over 4 blocks. The flats are a mix of private and social rented. Private flats in the development are priced from £1,575,000 to £3,545,000, and penthouses up to £13 million.On 20 June 2017, it was announced that 68 of the social rented flats had been acquired to provide permanent housing for families who had been made homeless by the Grenfell Tower fire of 14 June. The deal was negotiated by the Homes and Communities Agency on behalf of the British government, and the families will move in, in July and August. Grenfell Tower is about 1.5 miles (2.4 km) to the north.

The 1976 Olympia bombing was a bomb attack on 27 March 1976 carried out by the Provisional IRA at the Olympia exhibition centre in west London. A 2 lb (0.91 kg) bomb exploded in a litter bin at the top of an escalator inside the centre, which at the time was crowded with 20,000 people attending the Daily Mail's Ideal Home Exhibition. 85 people were injured and 4 people lost limbs. One casualty, 79-year-old Rachel Hyams, died from her injuries 21 days later. Police said they received no coded warning from the IRA, but the Sunday Mirror in Manchester said it received a call from the Provisional IRA's “Irish Brigade” claiming responsibility. Due to the outrage caused, the IRA temporarily halted its bombing campaign in Britain.

Radiolympia, also known as the Radio Show, was a pioneering exhibition of radio equipment, latterly television equipment, held annually at Olympia in London, England, in the 1920s to 1940s, except for a period of interruption during World War II.The first such exhibition was held in 1926.On 26 August 1936, the first high-definition standard (Baird 240 lines) television transmission was made in a test by the BBC from the exhibition. The day after, the Marconi-EMI (405 lines) system was used. The record attendance was 238,000 in 1934.

The Great British Beer Festival (GBBF) is an annual beer festival organised by the Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA). It presents a selection of cask ales and other alcoholic drinks from the UK and beyond. The festival is also home to the Champion Beer of Britain awards and is held in August of each year. 2017 marked the 40th anniversary of the GBBF. GBBF's sister festival, the Great British Beer Festival Winter concentrates on beer styles such as porter and stout and is usually held in February each year.

Olympia London, sometimes referred to as the Olympia Exhibition Centre, is an exhibition centre, event space and conference centre in West Kensington, in the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham, London, England. A range of international trade and consumer exhibitions, conferences and sporting events are staged at the venue. There is an adjacent railway station at Kensington (Olympia) which is both a London Overground station, and a London Underground station. The direct District Line spur to the station only runs on weekends.

Roberson Wine is an online fine wine merchant based in London. Established in 1991, Roberson Wine specialises in wines from France and California, selling online to private individuals and wholesale to restaurants and off-trade businesses. It holds regular tastings of fine wine in its Earls Court premises. Roberson Wine closed its Kensington Store at the end of August 2015 and now operates entirely out of its offices in Earls Court. It is situated above central London's only working winery, London Cru, also founded by Cliff Roberson, owner of Roberson Wine.Roberson Wine was named "Small Independent of the Year" and "Specialist Merchant of the Year: California" in 2014 at the International Wine Challenge. The Society for Psychical Research (SPR) is a nonprofit organisation in the United Kingdom. Its stated purpose is to understand events and abilities commonly described as psychic or paranormal. It describes itself as the "first society to conduct organised scholarly research into human experiences that challenge contemporary scientific models." It does not, however, since its inception in 1882, hold any corporate opinions: SPR members assert a variety of beliefs with regard to the nature of the phenomena studied.

The Embassy of Paraguay in London is the diplomatic mission of Paraguay in the United Kingdom. It is located in a multi-use office-building on Kensington High Street which it shares with, among others, a Consulate of Romania.

Gwendwr Gardens is a small park in West Kensington. In 1948 the area was donated to Fulham Council by the Gunter Estate for a memorial to the victims of German air raids in the area, particularly the Operation Steinbock raid on the night of 20 February 1944.The park contains a sunken area with a pond, lawns and a commemorative plaque.
