North End was, until the last quarter of the 19th-century, a scattered hamlet among the fields and market gardens, between Counter's Creek and Walham Green in the Parish of Fulham in the County of Middlesex.In connection with the development of the Kensington Canal on the northern boundary of Fulham parish, Sir John Scott Lillie built the 'North End Brewery' complex in 1832. The attached public house was called the 'Lillie Arms' (today's Lillie Langtry in Lillie Road) and had a frontage of 140 feet along the newly laid out road running from Lillie Bridge (Fulham) to North End Lane. According to Féret the landlady was a Miss Goslin. All that remains of North End in memory is the North End Road, Fulham. In the 1880s, the area became known as West Kensington. West Kensington tube station on the Metropolitan District Railway, was originally called 'Fulham - North End'.

Barons Court Theatre is a small theatre of 52 cinema-style seats located in the basement of The Curtains Up public house in Comeragh Road in West London. Founded in 1991, the Barons Court Theatre features a programme of short-run plays and afternoon magic shows that are frequently changed.Ron Phillips has been the artistic director since the theatre's inception, and productions at Barouns Courthe Theatre included Sophocles's Antigone, Dostoyevsky's Crime and Punishment, Hardy's Tess of the d'Urbervilles, Ibsen's A Doll's House, Shakespeare's Richard III & Shakespeare's Women. Noted performers who have performed at the theatre include Sara Kestelman in Bitter Fruits of Palestine. The theatre also hosted The Magic Cavern, a theatre show of magic and illusion, presented by international magician Richard Leigh. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Barons Court Theatre has been closed for over a year. In 2021, artistic director Ron Phillips retired and was succeeded by Sharon Willems, previous artistic director of Kibo Productions.

West Kensington, formerly North End, is an area in the ancient parish of Fulham, in the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham, England, 3.4 miles (5.5 km) west of Charing Cross. It covers most of the London postal area of W14, including the area around Barons Court tube station, and is defined as the area between Lillie Road and Hammersmith Road to the west, Fulham Palace Road to the south, Hammersmith to the north and West Brompton and Earl's Court to the east. The area is bisected by the major London artery the A4, locally known as the Talgarth Road. Its main local thoroughfare is the North End Road. It is predominantly a dense residential area with the Queen's Club in its midst and is bordered by the Lillie Bridge railway depot, the now defunct Earls Court Exhibition Centre site, Olympia Exhibition Centre and the commercial centres at Fulham and Hammersmith Broadway.

West Kensington is a London Underground District line station in West Kensington. It is located on North End Road (B317) close to its junction with West Cromwell Road/Talgarth Road (A4). The station is between Earl's Court and Barons Court and is in Travelcard Zone 2. The station is situated in a cutting with the ticket office at street level.

The Society for Psychical Research (SPR) is a nonprofit organisation in the United Kingdom. Its stated purpose is to understand events and abilities commonly described as psychic or paranormal. It describes itself as the "first society to conduct organised scholarly research into human experiences that challenge contemporary scientific models." It does not, however, since its inception in 1882, hold any corporate opinions: SPR members assert a variety of beliefs with regard to the nature of the phenomena studied.

St. Andrew's Church, Fulham, also known as St. Andrew's Church, West Kensington, is a Church of England church located in West Kensington, near Fulham in southwest London. The church was founded in 1873. The church is notable for the fact that some of its parishioners were responsible for establishing Fulham Football Club. It has been Grade II listed since 2009.

The Queen's Club Championships is an annual tournament for male tennis players, held on grass courts at the Queen's Club in West Kensington, London. The event is part of the ATP Tour 500 series on the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) Tour. It is currently advertised as the "cinch Championships" after its title sponsor. Queen's is one of the oldest tennis tournaments in the world, and serves as a warm-up for Wimbledon. Andy Murray has won a record five titles between 2009 and 2016.

West Ashfield underground station is a mock-up London Underground District line station on the third floor of Ashfield House in West Kensington. It is used for staff training purposes and was opened in 2010 at a cost of £800,000.

The Queen's Club is a private sporting club in West Kensington, London, England. The club hosts the annual Queen's Club Championships men's grass court lawn tennis tournament (currently known as the "cinch Championships" for sponsorship reasons). It has 28 outdoor courts and ten indoor. With two courts, it is also the national headquarters of real tennis, hosting the British Open every year excepting 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic. The Queen's Club also has rackets and squash courts; it became the headquarters for both sports after the closure of the Prince's Club in 1940.

Barons Court is a London Underground station in West Kensington in the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham, Greater London. This station serves the District line and the Piccadilly line. Barons Court is between West Kensington and Hammersmith on the District line, and between Earl's Court and Hammersmith on the Piccadilly line and is in Travelcard Zone 2. East of the station, the Piccadilly line descends into tunnel towards Earl's Court and the District line continues in a cutting to West Kensington. The station is the last open air stop for eastbound trains on the Piccadilly line until Arnos Grove and has cross-platform interchange with the District line.

Fulham School, originally founded as Fulham Preparatory School, is a school in Fulham, London, teaching children from the age of three up to eighteen (completing the IB). From its beginnings as a pre-prep and preparatory school, in 2017, it moved into also providing secondary education.The Prep school's buildings in Greyhound Road, Hammersmith, were previously used by Holborn College and from 1981 until 1985 were the film location for the children's television programme Grange Hill.The school has a new campus at Chesilton Road, Fulham, completed in March 2021, which accommodates 220 students from Year Nine onwards in a new purpose-built building. September 2021 saw the launch of a Sixth Form, following accreditation process for the International Baccalaureate, to be able to offer Sixth Form students the IB Diploma Programme.
