Hampstead Heath (locally known simply as the Heath) is an ancient heath in London, spanning 320 hectares (790 acres). This grassy public space sits astride a sandy ridge, one of the highest points in London, running from Hampstead to Highgate, which rests on a band of London Clay. The heath is rambling and hilly, embracing ponds, recent and ancient woodlands, a lido, playgrounds, and a training track, and it adjoins the former stately home of Kenwood House and its estate. The south-east part of the heath is Parliament Hill, from which the view over London is protected by law. Running along its eastern perimeter is a chain of ponds – including three open-air public swimming pools – which were originally reservoirs for drinking water from the River Fleet. The heath is a Site of Metropolitan Importance for Nature Conservation, and part of Kenwood is a Site of Special Scientific Interest. Lakeside concerts are held there in summer. The heath is managed by the City of London Corporation, and lies mostly within the London Borough of Camden with the adjoining Hampstead Heath Extension and Golders Hill Park in the London Borough of Barnet.

South Hill Park is a street in the Hampstead district of London. It is within the London Borough of Camden, and some of its houses overlook Hampstead Heath.

Hampstead Heath Ponds are a series of some thirty bodies of water on or adjacent to Hampstead Heath, a vast open area of woodland and grassland in north London. The main ponds were originally dug in the 17th and 18th centuries as reservoirs to meet London's growing water demand. These are divided into two groups: the three Hampstead Ponds (West Heath Side) and the eight Highgate Ponds (East Heath Side). Both sets of ponds are officially numbered incrementally from South to North, the southernmost pond being Hampstead no. 1 pond and the northernmost being Highgate no. 8 (Kenwood House's Wood Pond). The majority of the ponds on Hampstead Heath are fed by the headwater springs of the River Fleet. Three of the main ponds are now large freshwater bathing/swimming ponds: two designated single sex (Highgate no. 2 male and Highgate no. 5 female); and one for mixed bathing (Hampstead no. 3). The bathing ponds are not the only special-use ponds, however: Highgate no. 3 pond is the Model Boating Pond and it, along with a few other ponds, are open to anglers. A number of the other ponds are set aside as wildlife reserves or are purely ornamental (such as the more minor Viaduct Pond). The City of London Corporation tried to close the bathing ponds in 2004, but a challenge at the High Court by swimmers overcame this, though charges for swimming were introduced.

The Bakery is a recording studio at 4A Fleet Road, Hampstead, London, England. It was first established in 2006 by British rock band Coldplay, as they wanted to have a place where they could "rehearse, write, work on artwork or just relax", following the release of X&Y (2005). The studio was built inside an old bakery and its foundation coincided with Phil Harvey's return to the group. Since Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends (2008), the place has been widely used for their projects. Coldplay then set up the Beehive in 2010, which serves as a sister building to the Bakery and was described as a larger and more modern facility.

The Magdala, also known as The Magdala Tavern or colloquially as simply The Magy, is a public house on South Hill Park in Hampstead and was named after the British victory in the 1868 Battle of Magdala. It later became infamous as the pub outside which Ruth Ellis, the last woman to be executed in Great Britain, shot her boyfriend in 1955.After closing for refurbishment in 2014, The Magdala reopened in January 2015 before closing again in February 2016, with the upper floors converted to flats. It reopened again as a pub and restaurant in May 2021.The Magdala has been listed as an Asset of Community Value since September 2014.

Hampstead Heath railway station is in the London Borough of Camden in north London on the North London Line, between Finchley Road & Frognal and Gospel Oak stations, and is in Travelcard Zone 2. Since 11 November 2007 it and the service there have been run by London Overground.

The Dunboyne Road Estate previously known as the Fleet Road Estate is a Grade II-listed modernist estate, designed in Gospel Oak, London by Neave Brown in the late 1960s.

Belsize tunnel is a railway tunnel at Belsize Park on the Midland Main Line between Kentish Town and West Hampstead Thameslink. It was built between 1865 and 1867 for the Midland Railway extension from Bedford to London St Pancras. The ceremony of laying the first brick was performed on 27 January 1865 by Mr. Price, the chairman of the company, at Barham Road, Haverstock Hill. The contract price for the tunnel was £250,000 (equivalent to £25,430,000 in 2021).The last brick was laid on 20 June 1867 by the chairman when the directors of the railway travelled along the line between Bedford and London.The construction of the line out of St Pancras consisted of four tracks for the first 6 miles (9.7 km), with the exception of the Belsize Tunnel which only had two tracks. This was remedied in 1884 by the completion of another tunnel running parallel, to allow the full route of 6 miles to expand to four running lines. It was built under the Midland Railway (Additional Powers) Act, 1881. The additional tunnel was designed by W.H. Barlow, with James Campbell as reference engineer.It comprises two tunnels 1 mile (1.6 km) long plus strainer arches and buttressed cuttings in the east arch.

Haverstock Hill railway station was opened by the Midland Railway on 13 July 1868 when it built its extension to St Pancras station. It lay between Belsize Tunnel and Lismore Circus, and served Haverstock Hill, Belsize Park and Gospel Oak, London. For a short period between 1878 and 1880, the Midland Railway operated the Super Outer Circle service through the station from St. Pancras to Earl's Court Underground station via tracks through Cricklewood, then using the Dudding Hill Line to South Acton and Hammersmith.The station was closed on 1 January 1916 as a wartime economy measure, and was not re-opened. The station buildings, which were on the west side of Lismore Circus, remained until the late 1960s when they were demolished. Some remnants of the platforms remain beside the track.

Belsize Wood is a 0.7 hectare Local Nature Reserve and a Site of Borough Importance for Nature Conservation, Grade II, in Belsize Park in the London Borough of Camden. It is a steeply sloping site divided into a northern half, which is always open to the public and is of lesser ecological value, and a southern part which is in a better state of conservation, and which is only open at weekends. The two halves are separated by a public footpath between Lawn Road and Aspern Grove. The site is owned and managed by Camden Council.

Isokon Flats, also known as Lawn Road Flats and the Isokon building, on Lawn Road in the Belsize Park district of the London Borough of Camden, is a reinforced concrete block of 36 flats (originally 32), designed by Canadian engineer Wells Coates for Molly and Jack Pritchard.

The Royal Free Hospital (also known simply as the Royal Free) is a major teaching hospital in the Hampstead area of the London Borough of Camden. The hospital is part of the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust, which also runs services at Barnet Hospital, Chase Farm Hospital and a number of other sites. The trust is a founder member of the UCLPartners academic health science centre.
