Minami-hatogaya Station

Hatogaya Station (鳩ヶ谷駅, Hatogaya-eki) is a passenger railway station on the Saitama Rapid Railway Line in the city of Kawaguchi, Saitama, Japan, operated by the third sector railway operator Saitama Railway Corporation.

Kawaguchi (川口市, Kawaguchi-shi) is a city located in Saitama Prefecture, Japan. As of 1 January 2021, the city had an estimated population of 607,373 in 293,582 households and a population density of 9800 persons per km². The total area of the city is 61.95 square kilometres (23.92 sq mi). It is the Greater Tokyo Area's 8th most populated city (after passing Hachioji), and second largest in Saitama Prefecture.

As of April 1, 2011, the city had an estimated population of 61,781, with 26,902 households, and a population density of 9,932.64 per km2. The total area was 6.22 km2, the second smallest among all cities in Japan.The city was founded on March 1, 1967. On October 11, 2011, Hatogaya was merged into the expanded city of Kawaguchi.

Kawaguchi-motogō Station (川口元郷駅, Kawaguchi-motogō-eki) is a passenger railway station on the Saitama Rapid Railway Line in Kawaguchi, Saitama, Japan, operated by the third-sector railway operator Saitama Railway Corporation.

The NHK Kawaguchi Transmitter was a medium-wave broadcasting station at Kawaguchi, Saitama, Japan, which was built in 1937. It used for transmissions on 590 kHz with a power of 150 kW, a T-antenna, which was spun between two 312.78-metre-tall guyed masts, which were 463 m apart and which were both insulated against ground. The masts of NHK Kawaguchi Transmitter were until erection of Tokyo Tower the tallest towers of Japan and belonged at time of completion to the tallest man-made structures of the world. The antenna was built as T-antenna and not as mast radiator, as the technology of building tall mast radiators insulated against ground was not very well developed in Japan at the time. After the completion of Shobu-Kuki tower, a 240-meter-tall mast radiator in Saitama Prefecture, NHK Kawaguchi Transmitter went out of service in 1982. In 1984 the towers were dismantled with a crane. In the neighbourhood of the masts, in the 1970s a 110-metre-tall mast radiator was built. Today, the basements of the masts and the guy anchors remain there. In the days following the Surrender of Japan, the transmitter was occupied by members of the faculty and students at Imperial Japanese Army's Signals School. This is known as the Occupation of the Kawaguchi Transmitter (川口放送所占拠事件, Kawaguchi Hōsōsho Senkyo Jiken). Later, the U.S. military seized it, and used it for the Far East Network.

The Kawaguchi Green Center (川口市立グリーンセンター, Kawaguchi Shiritsu Gurīnsentā), sometimes also called the Botanical Garden of Kawaguchi-City, is a city park and botanical garden located at Araijuku 700, Kawaguchi, Saitama, Japan. Admission is 300 yen for adults and 100 yen for children. The garden was established in 1967, and contains fountains, plum trees, and topiary pieces, as well as greenhouses with collections including banana, bougainvillea, lotus (Nymphaea), orchids, and succulent plants.

Sakaigawa stable (境川部屋, Sakaigawa-beya) is a stable of sumo wrestlers, part of the Dewanoumi group of stables. It was established in its modern form on 25 May 1998 by former komusubi Ryōgoku, who branched off from Dewanoumi stable. It was originally called Nakadachi stable, but when Sakaigawa-oykakata (the 50th yokozuna Sadanoyama) reached the Japan Sumo Association's mandatory retirement age in February 2003, he passed on the Sakaigawa name, and the stable was renamed. As of January 2022, it had 23 wrestlers, with three of them ranked in the two professional divisions, making it one of the more successful stables. In June 2020 wrestlers from the stable were among a group of around 20 people who helped rescue a woman from drowning in a nearby river in an apparent suicide attempt.

The Shingashi River (新河岸川, Shingashi-gawa) is a 34.6-kilometre (21.5 mi) long river that flows through Saitama and Tokyo, Japan. It flows from the Musashino Plateau into the Sumida River at Iwabuchi in Kita, Tokyo.
