Araijuku Station (新井宿駅, Araijuku-eki) is a passenger railway station on the Saitama Rapid Railway Line in the city of Kawaguchi, Saitama, Japan, operated by the third sector railway operator Saitama Railway Corporation.

Hatogaya (鳩ヶ谷市, Hatogaya-shi) was a city located in Saitama Prefecture, Japan. As of April 1, 2011, the city had an estimated population of 61,781, with 26,902 households, and a population density of 9,932.64 per km2. The total area was 6.22 km2, the second smallest among all cities in Japan.The city was founded on March 1, 1967. On October 11, 2011, Hatogaya was merged into the expanded city of Kawaguchi.

Saitama Gakuen University (埼玉学園大学, Saitama gakuen daigaku) is a private university in Kawaguchi, Saitama, Japan, established in 2001. The predecessor of the school was founded in 1972.

Kawaguchi Junior College (川口短期大学, Kawaguchi tanki daigaku) is a private junior college in Kawaguchi, Saitama, Japan. Founded in 1987 as a junior college with 144 female students, it became coeducational in 2000.

The NHK Kawaguchi Transmitter was a medium-wave broadcasting station at Kawaguchi, Saitama, Japan, which was built in 1937. It used for transmissions on 590 kHz with a power of 150 kW, a T-antenna, which was spun between two 312.78-metre-tall guyed masts, which were 463 m apart and which were both insulated against ground. The masts of NHK Kawaguchi Transmitter were until erection of Tokyo Tower the tallest towers of Japan and belonged at time of completion to the tallest man-made structures of the world. The antenna was built as T-antenna and not as mast radiator, as the technology of building tall mast radiators insulated against ground was not very well developed in Japan at the time. After the completion of Shobu-Kuki tower, a 240-meter-tall mast radiator in Saitama Prefecture, NHK Kawaguchi Transmitter went out of service in 1982. In 1984 the towers were dismantled with a crane. In the neighbourhood of the masts, in the 1970s a 110-metre-tall mast radiator was built. Today, the basements of the masts and the guy anchors remain there. In the days following the Surrender of Japan, the transmitter was occupied by members of the faculty and students at Imperial Japanese Army's Signals School. This is known as the Occupation of the Kawaguchi Transmitter (川口放送所占拠事件, Kawaguchi Hōsōsho Senkyo Jiken). Later, the U.S. military seized it, and used it for the Far East Network.

The Minuma Tsūsen-bori (見沼通船堀) is Japan's oldest canal with a lock system. Built during the Edo period, it is located in what is now part of the cities of Saitama and Kawaguchi, Saitama Prefecture, Japan. It was designated a National Historic Site in 1982.

Minato stable (湊部屋, Minato-beya) is a stable of sumo wrestlers, formerly part of the Tokitsukaze ichimon or group of stables. It was founded in 1982 by former komusubi Yutakayama, who branched off from Tokitsukaze stable. Minato-oyakata studied at the Tokyo University of Agriculture, and due to his interest in academia his stable was the first to introduce a library on its premises. Until the arrival of Ichinojō, the stable had produced just one makuuchi division wrestler, Minatofuji, who reached a highest rank of maegashira 2 in 1995 and later became a coach at the stable under the name Tatsutagawa. In July 2010 Minato and Tatsutagawa swapped roles. In the same month the Chinese wrestler Nakanokuni earned promotion to the jūryō division. In December 2017 Minato Oyakata left the Tokitsukaze ichimon, leaving the stable unaffiliated to any group. As of January 2022, it had 9 wrestlers. In September 2018 it joined the Nishonoseki ichimon.
