The Lusatian Neisse (German: Lausitzer Neiße; Polish: Nysa Łużycka; Czech: Lužická Nisa; Upper Sorbian: Łužiska Nysa; Lower Sorbian: Łužyska Nysa), or Western Neisse, is a 252-kilometre (157 mi) river in northern Central Europe. It rises in the Jizera Mountains, near Nová Ves nad Nisou, at the Czech border becoming the Polish–German border for its remaining 197 kilometres (122 mi), to flow into the similarly northward-flowing Oder. Its drainage basin covers 4,403 km2 (1,700 sq mi), of which 2,201 km2 (850 sq mi) is in Poland, the rest is mainly in Germany. The river reaches the tripoint of the three nations by Zittau, a German town/city, after 54 kilometres (34 mi), leaving the Czech Republic. It is a left-bank tributary of the Oder, into which it flows between Neißemünde-Ratzdorf and Kosarzyn – north of the towns of Guben and Gubin. The river was a motivations to found Gubin as a craftmanship and trading port in the 13th Century.Since the 1945 Potsdam Agreement in the aftermath of World War II, the river has partially demarcated the German-Polish border (along the Oder–Neisse line). The German population east of the river was expelled from Poland to Germany. It is the longest and most watered of the three rivers of its non-adjectival name in both the main languages (the two other rivers being the Eastern Neisse (Polish: Nysa Kłodzka; German: Glatzer Neisse) and Raging Neisse (Polish: Nysa Szalona; German: Wütende Neiße or Jauersche Neiße)). It is usually simply referred to as the Neisse.

Wiedźmin (also known as Mieszko) is a European White Elm tree (Ulmus laevis), one of the largest elms in Europe. It is located in Komorów, Lubusz Voivodeship, Poland.This elm has short, wide trunk with large hole near the base. Its circumference measured at the 1,3 m height (CBH) was 930 cm (in 2011).The height of the tree was 19 m. Wiedźmin was significantly taller previously (about 35,5 m). Unfortunately, part of the crown collapsed in 2004, when harsh thunderstorm attacked those lands.The age of the tree, according to the dendrochronological methods, is over 460 years (in 2016).Wiedźmin is officially preserved since 1971, as a natural monument. A fence around the tree has been made to protect it.The name of the tree, "wiedźmin" comes from Andrzej Sapkowski's book series The Witcher, and is a masculine form of "wiedźma" ("witch"). It was picked by a local popular poll.The other name of the tree, "Mieszko", is still common among local foresters. It refers to Mieszko I , one of the first rulers of Poland.

Neißemünde (Neissemuende, literally Mouth of the Neisse river) is a municipality in the Oder-Spree district, in Brandenburg, Germany. It belongs to the Amt ("collective municipality") Neuzelle, which has its administrative seat in the neighbouring Neuzelle municipality.

Wałowice [vawɔˈvit͡sɛ] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Gubin, within Krosno Odrzańskie County, Lubusz Voivodeship, in western Poland, close to the German border. It lies approximately 7 kilometres (4 mi) north-east of Gubin, 22 km (14 mi) west of Krosno Odrzańskie, and 49 km (30 mi) west of Zielona Góra.

Villa Wolf was an architecturally significant building in Gubin, Poland, designed by the German architect Ludwig Mies van der Rohe. It is also known as Haus Wolf. The property was developed in Guben, Germany, between 1925 and 1926 – two decades before the Oder–Neisse line divided the city to create Gubin – for Erich and Elisabeth Wolf. It was one of the pioneering prototypes of modern architecture in Europe, and is considered the first modern work of Mies van der Rohe. It stood between two gardens parallel to the Lusatian Neisse river at Teichbornstraße 13 in today's Gubin, which at that time still belonged to Guben, but is now located in the Polish part of Lower Lusatia. It was destroyed during World War II in 1945 and there are plans to reconstruct it.

Lubsza is a river in Lubusz Voivodeship, Poland. It is a tributary of Lusatian Neisse (Nysa Łużycka) near Gubin. In the 13th Century, the medieval town of Gubin was founded to serve as an important settlement for craftsmanship and trade due to its position near this river and the Nysa Łużycka River.
