Lubsza is a river in Lubusz Voivodeship, Poland. It is a tributary of Lusatian Neisse (Nysa Łużycka) near Gubin. In the 13th Century, the medieval town of Gubin was founded to serve as an important settlement for craftsmanship and trade due to its position near this river and the Nysa Łużycka River.

Guben (Polish and Sorbian: Gubin) is a town on the Lusatian Neisse river in Lower Lusatia, in the state of Brandenburg, in eastern Germany. Located in the Spree-Neiße district, Guben has a population of 20,049. It is a divided city on the border between Germany and Poland, having been separated into Guben and Gubin in 1945.

Gubin [ˈɡubʲin] (German: Guben) is a town in Krosno Odrzańskie County, Lubusz Voivodeship, in western Poland. It is the administrative seat of the rural Gmina Gubin, though not part of it. Gubin is on the right bank of the Lusatian Neisse river, at the border with Germany. The rail and road border crossings are connected with the German town of Guben, of which Gubin was the central and eastern part until the division of the city by the Oder–Neisse line in 1945.

Gmina Gubin is a rural gmina (administrative district) in Krosno Odrzańskie County, Lubusz Voivodeship, in western Poland, on the German border. Its seat is the town of Gubin, although the town is not part of the territory of the gmina. The gmina covers an area of 379.73 square kilometres (146.6 sq mi), and as of 2019 its total population is 7,156. The gmina contains part of the protected area called Krzesin Landscape Park.

It lies approximately 2 kilometres (1 mi) east of Gubin, 27 km (17 mi) west of Krosno Odrzańskie, and 53 km (33 mi) west of Zielona Góra.

Guben station is a station of Guben in the German state of Brandenburg. It is at the junction of lines from Berlin to Wrocław via Frankfurt (Oder) and from Cottbus to Zbąszynek. The station building is surrounded by the tracks. Only the route between Frankfurt (Oder)–Cottbus is used by passenger services, while the line towards Zbąszynek is used for freight traffic.

It lies approximately 3 kilometres (2 mi) east of Gubin, 26 km (16 mi) west of Krosno Odrzańskie, and 52 km (32 mi) west of Zielona Góra.

It lies approximately 4 kilometres (2 mi) south of Gubin, 30 km (19 mi) south-west of Krosno Odrzańskie, and 55 km (34 mi) west of Zielona Góra.

Wiedźmin (also known as Mieszko) is a European White Elm tree (Ulmus laevis), one of the largest elms in Europe. It is located in Komorów, Lubusz Voivodeship, Poland.This elm has short, wide trunk with large hole near the base. Its circumference measured at the 1,3 m height (CBH) was 930 cm (in 2011).The height of the tree was 19 m. Wiedźmin was significantly taller previously (about 35,5 m). Unfortunately, part of the crown collapsed in 2004, when harsh thunderstorm attacked those lands.The age of the tree, according to the dendrochronological methods, is over 460 years (in 2016).Wiedźmin is officially preserved since 1971, as a natural monument. A fence around the tree has been made to protect it.The name of the tree, "wiedźmin" comes from Andrzej Sapkowski's book series The Witcher, and is a masculine form of "wiedźma" ("witch"). It was picked by a local popular poll.The other name of the tree, "Mieszko", is still common among local foresters. It refers to Mieszko I , one of the first rulers of Poland.
