Rissne metro station

Rissne is a neighborhood in the western part of Sundbyberg Municipality, Stockholm, Sweden. It has about 7500 inhabitants and borders to Stora Ursvik in the north, Duvbo and Hallonbergen in the east, and in the west and south to Bromsten, the latter one within Västerort in Stockholm Municipality. The area belonged to what used to be Spånga municipality until its dissolution in 1949, when it for example together with Duvbo was transferred to Sundbybergs stad. The name comes from Risö, which was the name that the Vikings used. The Svea Artillery Regiment had its camp there until 1960. An apartment block was built 1982 to 1988. The street names in the area hints to the site’s military history. (Lavettvägen, Kavallerivägen, Pjäsbacken, Artillerivägen, and Skvadronsbacken) and on the many relics (including graves) contained in Rissne (Mjölnerbacken, Odalvägen, Valkyriavägen).

Solvalla Stockholm is temporary motorsport race track in Sweden. The circuit is located the Bromma district on west of the Swedish capital Stockholm. Rather using the streets of the city, the track itself will use the horse racing venue, making it the first stadium circuit in Sweden. It was announced that the venue would host the final round of the 2012 Scandinavian Touring Car Championship season. The championship returned to Solvalla for the next five seasons, before being dropped from the calendar for the 2018 season.

Stora Ursvik is a district in Sundbyberg Municipality with 2306 inhabitants (in 2019), and a suburb in the Stockholm metropolitan area. An unbuilt corner of the district is located in Stockholm Municipality. This residential area is under construction, with an estimated completion in 2026. The first people moved in in 2007. Before that it was farmland owned by the Oxenstierna family, then from the beginning of the 20th century by the Swedish military until 2005. It is connected to Lilla Ursvik to the east and the uninhabited Kymlinge to the north. It is separated by motorways from Rinkeby to the west and Rissne to the south. Two tram stations, on the Tvärbanan Kista line, are planned in the west of the district. The building plan for the district has low buildings (1-3 floors) in the north and east, and higher buildings in the south and west.

Rinkeby metro station is a station on the blue line of the Stockholm metro, located in the district of Rinkeby. The station was opened on 31 August 1975 as part the first stretch of the Blue Line between T-Centralen and Hjulsta. The trains were running to Hallonbergen and then to Rinkeby via a track which is currently used for the rail yard access. The distance to Kungsträdgården is 12.3 km (7.6 mi).

The neighbourhood was part of the Million Programme. The Stockholm metro station Rinkeby was also opened in 1975. Rinkeby is noted for its high concentration of immigrants and people with immigrant ancestry. 89.1% of the suburb's population had a first- or second-generation immigrant background as of 2007.A sociolect called Rinkeby Swedish has been named after Rinkeby. This is also said to be used all over the suburbs in Stockholm and across Sweden.The district was a part of the Rinkeby borough until 1 January 2007, when it was merged with Kista borough to form the Rinkeby-Kista borough. In the years preceding 2008, the state Social Insurance Agency, state Public Employment Service, banks and postal services vacated their offices in the area.In 2010, the official figures stated 15,000 people lived in the area, but officials admitted 17,000 were more likely though uncertainties meant the figure could be higher still. Of those, 90% had a migration background and 37.6% were from Africa. With the area being home to a large number of immigrants, many from Somalia, the area is sometimes called 'Little Mogadishu'.In its December 2014 report, Swedish Police placed it as most severe category of urban areas with high crime rates.

Rinkeby was a borough (stadsdelsområde) in Stockholm, Sweden until 1 January 2007, practically identical to the district of Rinkeby. In 2007, Rinkeby merged with the borough of Kista to form the Rinkeby-Kista borough.

Mariehäll is a suburb of Stockholm and a district in the north-east of the Bromma borough of Stockholm Municipality. In 2019, Mariehäll had 9,024 inhabitants.Mariehäll was originally part of the farm Bällsta. At the end of the 19th century Mariehäll became an industrial area, owing to its proximity to the then recently founded suburb Sundbyberg. An area of detached homes south-west of Mariehäll, then called Bällsta villastad, came to be included within Mariehäll. By 2003 the number of inhabitants were 1,368. In the 2000s, a high-density residential area called Annedal was built in northern Mariehäll, increasing its population manifold. Light rail (Tvärbanan line L30) was built along the west side of Mariehäll and opened in 2003 stopping at the nearby Karlsbodavägen and Bällsta bro. Another Tvärbanan line, L31, was built to Bromma Airport just south of Mariehäll in 2020 but has not opened.

Bromma Stockholm Airport (formerly Stockholm-Bromma Flygplats) (IATA: BMA, ICAO: ESSB) is a Swedish domestic and minor international airport in Stockholm. It is located 4 NM (7.4 km; 4.6 mi) west-northwest of downtown Stockholm and is the closest to the city compared to the other commercial passenger airports in the area around Stockholm (Arlanda, Skavsta and Västerås). Bromma is Sweden's third-busiest airport by passenger traffic and take-offs and landings as of 2015.

Lilla Ursvik is a district in Sundbyberg Municipality with 1088 inhabitants (in 2019), and a suburb in the Stockholm metropolitan area. It is located between Stora Ursvik to the west, Kymlinge to the north and Järvastaden to the east, with a motorway separating it from Hallonbergen to the south. Gustaf de Laval had a workshop here 1894-1899. The area was bought in 1906 by the Graham Brothers company, which build a factory here. Freestanding homes for workers were built around the same time.

Bromsten (Swedish pronunciation: [ˈbrɔ̂mːsteːn]) is a middle-class district of northwestern Stockholm and belongs to the Spånga-Tensta borough. The ruins of an ancient hill fort located in the area are believed to be the source of the district's name.

Rinkeby-Kista is a borough (stadsdelsområde) in Stockholm, Sweden. The borough is located in Västerort.
