The Jacob Koons Farm is a historic farmstead at 1151 Otterdale Mill Road in rural Carroll County, Maryland, near Taneytown. The main farmhouse, a two-story rubble stone construction, was built in 1869. The property also includes several 19th century outbuildings, including a wood frame summer kitchen, a stone smokehouse, and a wooden barn.The farm was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2011.

The Weaver–Fox House is a historic home located at Uniontown, Carroll County, Maryland, United States. It is a simplified Victorian Italianate villa, two stories high with a hip roof. It features two chimneys flanking a rectangular, hipped roof cupola. The house was built during the years 1874 and 1875 as the home of Dr. Jacob J. Weaver, Jr., a country physician.The Weaver–Fox House was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1975.

Uniontown Academy is a historic school located at Uniontown, Carroll County, Maryland, United States. It is a one-story building of brick with a stone foundation constructed in 1851 and is said to be a replica of the earlier, 1810 structure. It is three bays wide and three bays long, with a gable roof. The front facade features a "false" front effect with its corbeled or stepped setbacks derived from a traditional Dutch style often seen in the false store fronts of western towns. The property retains many of its outbuildings and is operated as an inn and restaurant. The Uniontown Academy was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1973.

Taneytown ( TAW-nee-town, locally also ) is a city in Carroll County, Maryland, United States. The population was 7,234 at the 2020 census. Taneytown was founded in 1754. Of the city, George Washington once wrote, "Tan-nee town is but a small place with only the Street through wch.(sic) the road passes, built on. The buildings are principally of wood." Taneytown has a history museum that displays the history of the city for visitors and citizens to see. The Bullfrog Road Bridge was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978.

The main block is constructed of brick on a fieldstone foundation, five bays in length, two deep, with an original slate roof, built about 1807. Attached is a two-story, two-bay-long brick kitchen. The house features Georgian massing and fine Federal detailing.The Ludwick Rudisel Tannery House was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2006.
