Clifton All Whites Football Club is a football club based in Clifton, Nottingham. Formed in 1963 as a youth team, the club expanded to include a senior team in the 1970s. The first team are currently members of the United Counties League Division One.

Farnborough Spencer Academy is a coeducational secondary school located in the Clifton area of Nottingham in the English county of Nottinghamshire.The school offers GCSEs as programmes of study for pupils, with a small number of pupils attending Central College Nottingham for vocational courses. It previously held Technology College status as part of the (now defunct) Specialist Schools Programme and also previously had the motto 'Tenez Le Droit. ' Previously a community school administered by Nottingham City Council, in December 2013 an Ofsted inspection judged Farnborough School Technology College to be 'Inadequate'. The rating meant the school was placed in special measures. The school was opened in September 2014 by paralympian Richard Whitehead and was renamed The Farnborough Academy. The 1950s school buildings were demolished and also replaced with a new building designed by Franklin Ellis Architects, one of the last projects built under the Building Schools for the Future programme. It was then operated as part of the Trent Academies Group, however, in September 2018 Trent Academies Group merged with the Spencer Academies Trust. The school then changed its name to Farnborough Spencer Academy in September 2021.

It is situated in the Borough of Rushcliffe, just to the south-west of the large City of Nottingham suburb of Clifton, on the A453. The Park & Ride site has a capacity of over 1000 cars. There is also an interchange with local bus services.The tram stop is the terminus of line 2 of the NET, to Phoenix Park via Clifton, Wilford and the centre of Nottingham. The stop comprises a pair of side platforms flanking the twin terminal tracks, with one of the platforms being long enough to accommodate, if necessary, two trams. Trams run at frequencies that vary between 4 and 8 trams per hour, depending on the day and time of day. A half-hourly express bus service, the Skylink Express, links the stop to East Midlands Airport.The Clifton South stop opened on 25 August 2015, along with the rest of NET's phase two.In 2023, extension of the NET to Clifton South was listed in the Department for Transport's list of projects to be funded by the cancellation of Phase 2 of High Speed 2, despite the tram stop already being operation for nearly a decade by that point.

Wilwell Farm Nature Reserve or Wilwell Cutting is a biological Site of Special Scientific Interest and Local Nature Reserve in Nottinghamshire. The site was originally standard farmland, but in the 1890s a cutting was constructed to take the Great Central Railway's London Extension. The site was located between Ruddington railway station (to the south) and Arkwright Street railway station (to the north). The Great Central Main Line was closed in 1969, and in 1976 it was proposed that the cutting should be used for landfill. However local opposition saw it converted into a Nature Reserve.

The Manor of Clifton was a historic manor situated near the City of Nottingham, England. The manor house, known as Clifton Hall is situated on the right bank of the River Trent in the village of Clifton, Nottinghamshire, (grid reference SK54043483). about 3+1⁄2 miles south-west of the historic centre of the City of Nottingham, now partly the campus of Nottingham Trent University and partly a large council estate of modern housing. The Hall is a 13,946 square feet (1,295.6 m2) Grade I listed building, and is situated within the Clifton Village Conservation Area. Clifton Hall was remodelled in the late 18th century in Georgian style. The manor was held by the de Clifton (later Clifton) family from the late 13th century to the mid-20th century. In 2008 Clifton Hall rose to national prominence when it was reported in tabloid newspapers that its millionaire owner, Anwar Rashid, and his family had left the South Wing of the house and stopped paying the mortgage because they believed it was haunted. It was repossessed by the bank and is currently for sale at £2.7m.
