The Becket School is a co-educational secondary Catholic school with academy status in West Bridgford, Nottinghamshire, England. It was formed in 1976 by the amalgamation of two schools, Corpus Christi Bi-Lateral School and Becket Grammar School for Boys. It is one of three Catholic secondary schools in the Greater Nottingham area, along with Christ the King and Trinity School. The school moved to its new site, on Wilford Lane, at the beginning of the 2009–10 school year and lies within the Diocese of Nottingham and the Parish of the Holy Spirit, West Bridgford. The school has a large catchment area covering parts of the City of Nottingham, Nottinghamshire and south-eastern Derbyshire, including such places as St Ann's, Carlton, Clifton, Long Eaton and West Bridgford. For Years 7 to 11 there are six forms, designated by the initial letters, B, E, N, P, R, and T, of six saints: Bernadette Soubirous, Edmund Campion, Nicholas Garlick, Patrick, Robert Ludlam and Thérèse of Lisieux.

Ruddington Lane is a tram stop on the Nottingham Express Transit (NET) network. The stop takes its name from Ruddington Lane, which is crossed on the level just south of the stop, and lies on the boundary between the city of Nottingham and the district of Rushcliffe. The stop is on line 2 of the NET, from Phoenix Park via the city centre to Clifton, and trams run at frequencies that vary between 4 and 8 trams per hour, depending on the day and time of day.The tram line and stop is located on the course of the former Great Central main line, which once linked London with Nottingham and Sheffield, but which closed in 1969. The railway line here ran in a cutting and crossed under Ruddington Lane. As part of the development of the tramway, the tram track was raised and Ruddington Lane lowered, so as to allow a traffic light controlled level crossing. To the south of this crossing, the tram line passes under Clifton Boulevard (A52) using a pre-existing bridge, before leaving the former railway right of way and running on a new alignment across country towards the Clifton Estate. The stop is on reserved track and comprises a pair of side platforms flanking the tracks.Ruddington Lane opened on 25 August 2015, along with the rest of NET's phase two.

Farnborough Spencer Academy is a coeducational secondary school located in the Clifton area of Nottingham in the English county of Nottinghamshire.The school offers GCSEs as programmes of study for pupils, with a small number of pupils attending Central College Nottingham for vocational courses. It previously held Technology College status as part of the (now defunct) Specialist Schools Programme and also previously had the motto 'Tenez Le Droit. ' Previously a community school administered by Nottingham City Council, in December 2013 an Ofsted inspection judged Farnborough School Technology College to be 'Inadequate'. The rating meant the school was placed in special measures. The school was opened in September 2014 by paralympian Richard Whitehead and was renamed The Farnborough Academy. The 1950s school buildings were demolished and also replaced with a new building designed by Franklin Ellis Architects, one of the last projects built under the Building Schools for the Future programme. It was then operated as part of the Trent Academies Group, however, in September 2018 Trent Academies Group merged with the Spencer Academies Trust. The school then changed its name to Farnborough Spencer Academy in September 2021.

Southchurch Drive, also known as Southchurch Drive North, is a tram stop on the Nottingham Express Transit (NET) network in the city of Nottingham suburb of Clifton. It is situated on street track on Southchurch Drive near its junction with Farnborough Road, and is one of four such tram stops situated on or adjacent to Southchurch Drive, the others being Rivergreen, Clifton Centre and Holy Trinity.The stop comprises a pair of side platforms flanking the running tracks. It is on line 2 of the NET, from Clifton via the city centre to Phoenix Park. Trams run at frequencies that vary between 4 and 8 trams per hour, depending on the day and time of day.To the north of the tram stop, the line continues in the street for a short distance before heading onto a new reserved track alignment across country towards the former route of the Great Central main line, which it joins for the next part of its run towards the city centre.Southchurch Drive stop opened on 25 August 2015, along with the rest of NET's phase two.

Wilwell Farm Nature Reserve or Wilwell Cutting is a biological Site of Special Scientific Interest and Local Nature Reserve in Nottinghamshire. The site was originally standard farmland, but in the 1890s a cutting was constructed to take the Great Central Railway's London Extension. The site was located between Ruddington railway station (to the south) and Arkwright Street railway station (to the north). The Great Central Main Line was closed in 1969, and in 1976 it was proposed that the cutting should be used for landfill. However local opposition saw it converted into a Nature Reserve.

Clifton Bridge is a road bridge spanning the River Trent and carrying the A52 road to the west of the city of Nottingham, in the county of Nottinghamshire, England. It was completed and opened to traffic in March 1958 and is constructed of pre-stressed concrete. It is the next upstream road crossing from the older famous Trent Bridge. Clifton Bridge was initially built to relieve traffic pressures on Trent Bridge. The current west bridge over the Trent at Clifton Bridge includes a section of the former B680 (which followed the route into Nottingham now used by the A453). The 275 ft bridge was formally opened on 5 June 1958 by Princess Alexandra, The Honourable Lady Ogilvy. At the time it was the longest pre-stressed concrete bridge in the country.With the addition of the east bridge the crossing became dual-carriageway as the A614 as part of a 1+1⁄4-mile (2.0 km) £3.2 million section (equivalent to £43,163,449 in 2020),, opening in 1972. The eight lane bridge is a part of major regional route linking Derby and Grantham as well as serving local traffic in Nottingham.The bridge is also open to segregated pedestrian and cycle traffic. In 1994 a survey revealed corrosion damage to up to 25% of the pre-stressing wires. The bridge was strengthened by post-stressing with additional external cables.In February 2020 during routine maintenance work, it was discovered that water damage had corroded steelwork under the bridge. This caused a temporary closure of the east bridge, which carries all eastbound traffic and one lane of westbound traffic, while the bridge was repaired. By the end of 2021, the bridge had fully reopened to all road traffic, due to the repairs being completed.
