The Pitman School District is a comprehensive community public school district that serves students in pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade from Pitman, in Gloucester County, New Jersey, United States.As of the 2021–22 school year, the district, comprised of five schools, had an enrollment of 1,134 students and 118.8 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 9.5:1.The district is classified by the New Jersey Department of Education as being in District Factor Group "FG", the fourth-highest of eight groupings. District Factor Groups organize districts statewide to allow comparison by common socioeconomic characteristics of the local districts. From lowest socioeconomic status to highest, the categories are A, B, CD, DE, FG, GH, I and J.

Pitman Grove is a 20-acre (8.1 ha) historic district located in the borough of Pitman in Gloucester County, New Jersey. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on August 19, 1977, for its significance in architecture, religion, and community planning. The district includes 349 contributing buildings.The Grove centers around a circular park where the Pitman Grove Auditorium was constructed. Twelve numbered avenues, lined with cottages, radiate from this circle like spokes on the hub of a wheel.The Grove was established in 1871 as a Methodist summer camp meeting site. From its early days, it attracted a large number of visitors. In 1892, a reporter for The Philadelphia Record recorded 60,000 visitors over a 16-day period. Increasingly, people started to live in the Grove year-round. In 1905, it became a part of the Borough of Pitman.

There were 20 students (5.8% of enrollment) eligible for free lunch and 3 (0.9% of students) eligible for reduced-cost lunch.

Gloucester County Christian School (GCCS) is a private Christian school located in the Sewell section of Mantua Township, New Jersey, United States. Gloucester County Christian School was founded in 1964 and organized by a group of parents. GCCS is owned and operated by Hardingville Bible Church. The school is a member of the American Association of Christian Schools and the Garden State Association of Christian Schools.As of the 2017–18 school year, the school had an enrollment of 317 students and 20.4 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 14.8:1. Built in 1870, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places on July 14, 2023, for its significance in architecture and education.

Glassboro High School is a comprehensive community public high school that serves students in ninth through twelfth grades from Glassboro, in Gloucester County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. It is the sole secondary school of the Glassboro Public Schools. As of the 2021–22 school year, the school had an enrollment of 522 students and 53.4 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 9.8:1. There were 176 students (33.7% of enrollment) eligible for free lunch and 21 (4.0% of students) eligible for reduced-cost lunch.

The Richwood Methodist Church is a historic church located on Elmer Road in the Richwood section of Harrison Township in Gloucester County, New Jersey, United States. It was built c. 1860 and added to the National Register of Historic Places on January 19, 1979, for its significance in architecture. The listing includes the adjacent church cemetery.

Rowan University is a public research university in Glassboro, New Jersey, with a medical campus in Stratford and medical and academic campuses in Camden. Founded in 1923 as Glassboro Normal School on a 25-acre (10 ha) site donated by 107 residents, the school was formerly known as Glassboro State College from 1958 until 1992 and Rowan College of New Jersey from 1992 to 1997. Glassboro is an inactive train station in Glassboro, New Jersey which served passengers from 1863–1971. Its station house was restored c. 2015. It is located at the edge of the Rowan University campus. Listed as the West Jersey Rail Road Glassboro Depot, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places on April 14, 2020, for its significance in architecture and transportation.
