Oldeholtwolde (West Frisian: Aldeholtwâlde) is a village in Weststellingwerf in the province of Friesland, the Netherlands. It had a population of around 150 in 2017.The village was first mentioned in 1320 as Oldeholtwolt, and means "old low-lying wood". Olde (old) has been added to distinguish from Nijeholtwolde. The Dutch Reformed church was destroyed in a storm around 1700. A new church was built in 1875.In 1840, Oldeholtwolde was home to 149 people.

It had a population of around 230 in 2017.The village was first mentioned in 1320 as Oldenlameren. The etymology is unclear. Olde (old) has been added to distinguish from Nijelamer. The Dutch Reformed church dates from 1784. The little tower was added in 1869. On 14 September 2017, the spire broke in a storm, but was quickly repaired.Oldelamer was home to 315 people in 1840.

The church of Nijeholtwolde was demolished around 1700. There were no funds to rebuilt it, and a bell tower was constructed instead. The tower has been restored in 1982.In 1840, Nijeholtwolde was home to 225 people.

Thialf is used for long track speed skating, short track speed skating, ice hockey, figure skating, ice speedway, and non-sporting events. The outdoor rink was opened in 1967, and the indoor stadium was opened in 1986. Several world records have been set in the indoor stadium.Annually, Thialf hosts two Speed Skating World Cup events. Jan de Jong was the ice rink master at Thialf for many years.

The Oranjewoud Palace is a palace and estate which gives its name to Oranjewoud in the Province of Friesland in the Netherlands. Countess Albertine Agnes of Nassau, widow of William Frederick, Prince of Nassau-Dietz, acquired what was then known as the Schoterswoud at Heerenveen, an estate consisting of several fields, forests and buildings. She built a palace and gardens there, which after her death were inherited by John William Friso, Prince of Orange, who commissioned Daniel Marot to build the Paleis Oranjewoud. Work began in 1708 and continued under John William's wife Marie-Louise, but it was never completed and after a period of neglect it was terminated. The current house on the estate was built in 1829.
