Rivière Saint-Denis

L'église Notre-Dame-de-la-Délivrance (the Church of Notre Dame of Délivrance) is a Catholic church in the municipal of Saint-Denis, on the French island département et région of Réunion. It is located in the Petite Île quartier, on the left bank of Saint-Denis River, downstream from the La Redoute quartier and opposite the city centre. Built in split stone masonry with lime from 1893 to 1897, the Tuscan Gothic church building was listed a Historic Monument on 29 March 1996. This listing was renewed on 29 December 2005.

Saint-Denis Cathedral (French: Cathédrale Saint-Denis de Saint-Denis de La Réunion) or at greater length the Cathedral of St. Denis, Saint-Denis, Réunion, is a Roman Catholic cathedral located in Saint-Denis, capital of the island of Reunion, a province of France in the Indian Ocean, part of Africa. It is dedicated to Saint Denis, after whom the city of Saint-Denis is named, and is the episcopal seat of the Diocese of Saint-Denis-de-La Réunion.

Saint-Denis (, French: [sɛ̃d(ə)ni] ; Reunionese Creole: Sin-Dni), unofficially Saint-Denis de La Réunion for disambiguation, is the prefecture (administrative capital) of the French overseas department and region of Réunion, in the Indian Ocean. It is located at the island's northernmost point, close to the mouth of the Rivière Saint-Denis. Saint-Denis is the most populous commune in the French overseas departments and the nineteenth most populous in all of France. At the 2020 census, there were 315,080 inhabitants in the metropolitan area of Saint-Denis (as defined by INSEE), 153,001 of whom lived in the city (commune) of Saint-Denis proper and the remainder in the neighbouring communes of La Possession, Sainte-Marie, Sainte-Suzanne, Saint-André, and Bras-Panon.

The Diocese of Saint-Denis de La Réunion (Latin: Dioecesis Sancti Dionysii Reunionis; French: Diocèse de Saint-Denis de La Réunion) is a Latin Church ecclesiastical jurisdiction or diocese of the Catholic Church located on the island of Réunion. It is immediately subject to the Holy See. As such, it is not part of an ecclesiastical province, but is a member of the Episcopal Conference of the Indian Ocean (with Comoros, Mauritius and Seychelles). The cathedral church of the diocese is the Cathedral of Saint-Denis (French: Cathédrale de Saint-Denis de La Réunion) located in Saint-Denis.

La Montagne is a settlement within the commune of Saint-Denis, located along the north coast of the island of Réunion. Cape Bernard is located near the settlement.

The Jardin de l'État, formerly known as the Jardin du Roy, is a historic botanical garden on the island of Réunion, found in the capital Saint-Denis. Planted with trees and spices taken from outside the island by Pierre Poivre, the garden is home to a natural history museum opened in August 1855. The garden was built from 1767 to 1773. The garden's golden era came at the beginning of the 19th century, when its plants were tended to by famous botanists such as Joseph Hubert, Nicolas Bréon and Jean-Michel-Claude Richard. At that time the garden housed 2000 species. 7000 of its plants were distributed to the islanders in 1825 as part of a scheme to improve the colonial agriculture. Today, the garden's main entrance faces the historic Rue de Paris. In the garden itself a bust of Pierre Poivre and a Wallace fountain.

Cape Bernard is a cape on the island of Réunion. It is in the commune of Saint-Denis, along the northern coast of the island near the area of La Montagne. The route du Littoral crosses over the cape.

Bassin du Diable (Devil's Lake) is a lake in the city of Saint-Denis, Réunion, France. This lake is at an elevation of 500 m, from the river bed Grand Bras, a tributary of the Rivière Saint-Denis. This basin is associated with a legend told in the nineteenth century in the Album of the Reunion of Antoine Louis Roussin.
