Claridge's is a 5-star hotel at the corner of Brook Street and Davies Street in Mayfair, London. It has long-standing connections with royalty that have led to it sometimes being referred to as an "annexe to Buckingham Palace". Claridge's Hotel is owned and managed by Maybourne Hotel Group.

Gordon Ramsay at Claridge's was a restaurant owned by Gordon Ramsay and located with Claridge's hotel in Mayfair, London. Blackstone Group had enquired about Ramsay's availability to open a restaurant after he was awarded three Michelin Stars at Restaurant Gordon Ramsay. It marked the first of a number of restaurants that Ramsay would open at hotels owned by Blackstone. It opened in 2001, and by the fourth year was making a profit of £2 million a year. Mark Sargeant was the chef de cuisine of the restaurant until 2008, during which time the restaurant was awarded a Michelin star. The initial contract was for ten years, and after it was extended for three further short periods, Ramsay withdrew from negotiations with the new owners of the hotel and closed the restaurant at the end of the lease on 30 June 2013. It was positively reviewed by critics upon its launch, although work was required by staff to reduce the numbers of complaints it received from diners. Whilst some restaurant guides such as Zagat gave the restaurant positive reviews, Harden's did not. Both Sargeant and his successor Steve Allen won awards for cheffing when they worked at the restaurant.

Bourdon House is a Grade II* listed building in Mayfair, London, at the junction of Davies Street and Bourdon Street. The house is believed to be named after Captain William Bourdon, described as the Justice of the Peace for Middlesex, though this name does not appear in any contemporary military records. It was surveyed by Thomas Barlow, and constructed between 1723 and 1725. The house was extended northwards around 1737. There were originally two stories and an attic, with a further storey added around 1760. Much of the house's interior dates from this period.Bourdon lived in the house until 1727, after which it was occupied by Bacon Morris, Governor of the Landguard Fort, Suffolk. The politician and officer Timothy Caswall lived in Bourdon House from 1764 to 1767, then from 1772 until his death in 1802. Subsequently, his daughter lived there until her death in 1830.The house was renovated in the 1860s and 1870s, including the addition of a fourth storey. A wing to the east of the premises was constructed in the early 20th century. The last private residents were Hugh Grosvenor, 2nd Duke of Westminster, who lived there from 1917 until his death in 1953, and his fourth wife, Anne Grosvenor, Duchess of Westminster who moved out in 1957. The Duke held a particular affinity for the house, which he preferred as a residence over Grosvenor House. Following the Duchess' departure, it became used for commercial purposes, initially as an antique shop.The property was listed in 1958. As of 2023, the flagship branch of the luxury clothing and accessories retailer Dunhill is based here.

Lower Grosvenor Street was a street in London, England, later renamed Grosvenor Street. It was at the south-eastern corner of Grosvenor Square, extending eastward towards Bond Street. Count de Melfort, in his Impressions of England, described the street as consisting of "a great number of excellent houses, the majority of which are inhabited by titled persons and affluent families". 12 Lower Grosvenor Street was home to the Alexandra Club, a private members club for women in Edwardian London. The club was founded in 1884, and closed in 1939. 16 Lower Grosvenor Street was for some time the home of the Royal Institute of British Architects. 46 was built by William Benson in 1725. In 1899 it was purchased by Sir Edgar Speyer, who had the building remodelled by Detmar Blow in 1910–11. After the first World War, it was used as the American Women's Club of London and later became the Japanese Embassy.

The Bath & Racquets Club is a private members gym and squash club at 49 Brook's Mews in London's Mayfair district. The club has 300 members and is the most expensive private gym club in London. It was established by Mark Birley in 1989. Birley sold the club with his four other Mayfair clubs, Annabel's, Harry's Bar, Mark's Club, and George, to Richard Caring in 2007.

Brook Street is an axial street in the exclusive central London district of Mayfair. Most of it is leasehold, paying ground rent to and seeking lease renewals from the reversioner, that since before 1800, has been the Grosvenor Estate. Named after the Tyburn that it crossed, it was developed in the first half of the 18th century and runs from Hanover Square to Grosvenor Square. The western continuation (to Park Lane) is called Upper Brook Street; its west end faces Brook Street Gate of Hyde Park. Both sections consisted of neo-classical terraced houses, mostly built to individual designs. Some of them were very ornate, finely stuccoed and tall-ceilinged, designed by well known architects for wealthy tenants, especially near Grosvenor Square, others exposed good quality brickwork or bore fewer expensive window openings and embellishments. Some of both types survive. Others have been replaced by buildings from later periods. Opulent hotel Claridge's co-fronts two other streets and takes the majority of a block. The Embassy of Argentina is at №65. The Handel & Hendrix in London occupies №s 23-25, once homes of famous musicians Jimi Hendrix and Handel. The baroque chamber music ensemble The Brook Street Band takes its name from №25 where Handel lived from 1723-1759. The French restaurant Le Gavroche is housed on the primary floors of №43 Upper Brook Street.

The Ladies Empire Club was a private members club for women at 69 Grosvenor Street, at the east end on the south side, in London's Mayfair district.

Mayfair is an affluent area in the West End of London towards the eastern edge of Hyde Park, in the City of Westminster, between Oxford Street, Regent Street, Piccadilly and Park Lane. It is one of the most expensive districts in the world.The area was originally part of the manor of Eia and remained largely rural until the early 18th century. It became well known for the annual "May Fair" that took place from 1686 to 1764 in what is now Shepherd Market. Over the years, the fair grew increasingly downmarket and unpleasant, and it became a public nuisance. The Grosvenor family (who became Dukes of Westminster) acquired the land through marriage and began to develop it under the direction of Thomas Barlow. The work included Hanover Square, Berkeley Square and Grosvenor Square, which were surrounded by high-quality houses, and St George's Hanover Square Church. By the end of the 18th century, most of Mayfair was built on with upper-class housing; unlike some nearby areas of London, it has never lost its affluent status. The decline of the British aristocracy in the early 20th century led to the area becoming more commercial, with many houses converted into offices for corporate headquarters and various embassies. Mayfair retains a substantial quantity of high-end residential property, upmarket shops and restaurants, and luxury hotels along Piccadilly and Park Lane. Its prestigious status has been commemorated by being the most expensive property square on the London Monopoly board.

The Flyfishers' Club is a gentlemen's club in London which was founded in 1884 for enthusiasts of flyfishing. In 1894, the club had more than three hundred members, while in 1984 this had risen to between eight and nine hundred.
