Creeting St Peter

Stowupland High School is a co-educational secondary school and sixth form situated in the Suffolk village Stowupland. It caters for students aged 11–18 from Year 7 - Year 11 in the main school and Year 12 and 13 in the Sixth Form. Previously a community school administered by Suffolk County Council, in September 2016 Stowupland High School converted to academy status. The school is now sponsored by the John Milton Academy Trust.

Fen Alder Carr is a 1.7 hectare Local Nature Reserve south-east of Creeting St Peter in Suffolk. It is owned by Suffolk County Council.This site has diverse habitats, including open water, alder carr woodland and tall fen. There is a large rookery high in the trees, and there are other birds such as siskins, chaffinches and redpolls.There is access from Fen Lane.

Badley is a village and civil parish in Suffolk, England. It is located between Stowmarket and Needham Market, in the Mid Suffolk district. With an electorate of less than 100, it has an infrequent parish meeting rather than a parish council. The population is included in the town of Needham Market. Badley is listed as a settlement with 41 households in the 1086 Domesday Book.

Stowupland is a village 1 mile (2 km) east of Stowmarket, Suffolk, England. Stowupland means "a place occupied on higher ground than Stowmarket", with the Saxons calling the village Ultuna due to the far higher presence of owls in the woods that previously stood on the site of Holy Trinity Church ('Ul' meaning owl). Stowupland High School is found in the village. Stowupland is centred on several village greens and has numerous amenities including, a petrol station, a butchers, a Chinese takeaway, a chip shop and two public houses - The Crown and The Retreat. As well as the High School there is Freeman Community Primary School, which has an attached pre-school. There are active football, cricket and bowls clubs in the village. A lottery grant funded gym and indoor sports facility is available for public use at the high school. The village implements a "Parish Plan" to help steer the development of the village. The plan was produced following the completion and analysis of a questionnaire that was sent to every dwelling and allows residents to have a degree of say in what happens in the village. One of the main aims is to try to maintain Stowupland's separation from the nearby market town of Stowmarket which has expanded considerably in recent years with just a single field now separating properties in Stowmarket from Stowupland. A monthly magazine, "The Telstar", is delivered free to every household and contains reports from parish and local council as well as various articles from residents, clubs and churches in the village. Stowupland previously hosted an event (Music on The Green) which took place in June each year. Due to lack of interest (occasional bad weather) the event was discontinued. The A1120 tourist route runs through the village and the A14 trunk road is located just to its south.

Mid Suffolk is a local government district in Suffolk, England. The district is primarily a rural area, containing just three towns, being Stowmarket, Needham Market and Eye. Its council was based in Needham Market until 2017 when it moved to shared offices with neighbouring Babergh District Council in Ipswich, outside either district. In 2021 it had a population of 103,417. The neighbouring districts are East Suffolk, Ipswich, Babergh, West Suffolk, Breckland and South Norfolk.

Creeting St Mary is a village and civil parish in the Mid Suffolk district of Suffolk in eastern England. Sandwiched between the A14 and A140 to the north of Needham Market, the parish also includes the hamlet of Creeting Bottoms. In 2005 the parish population was 710, which decreased to 697 at the 2011 Census.

The Stowmarket Guncotton Explosion happened on 11 August 1871 at the Prentices Guncotton Factory in Stowmarket, Suffolk. It was blown up by two massive explosions, that occurred within the factory, killing 28 people and injuring approximately 70 others.

The Stowmarket Guncotton Company was an explosives company established in the 19th century by Messrs Prentice that operated a gun-cotton factory in Stowmarket, Suffolk, England. The factory was the scene of an explosion in 1871 that claimed the lives of 28 people.

The Old Town Hall is a municipal building in the High Street in Needham Market, Suffolk, England. The building, which now accommodates an antiques centre and other shops, is a Grade II listed building.

Creeting St Mary Windmill is a Grade II listed dovecote at Creeting St Mary, Suffolk, England which has been restored. It was originally the body of a post mill which stood elsewhere in the village.

Needham Market Football Club is a football club based in Needham Market, Suffolk, England. They are currently members of the Southern League Premier Division Central and play at Bloomfields.

St Mary's Church is a redundant Anglican church in the village of Badley, Suffolk, England. It is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade I listed building, and is under the care of the Churches Conservation Trust. The church is located some 3 miles (5 km) southeast of Stowmarket on the west side of the B1113 road, and is approached by a track about a mile long.
