St. Giles (Hebron, Maryland)

Hebron is a town in Wicomico County, Maryland, United States. The population was 1,084 at the 2010 census. It is included in the Salisbury, Maryland-Delaware Metropolitan Statistical Area. It is the hometown of pro-wrestler Mark Hildreth and politician Scott Taylor.

Western Fields is a historic home located at Hebron, Wicomico County, Maryland, United States. It is a Greek Revival-style three-part frame "telescope" dwelling started about 1790 and expanded in the mid-19th century. The main block was constructed in 1845. The property also includes an early-20th century frame tenant house and corn crib, and a small family cemetery. In 1997, the Maple Leaf Farm Potato House was moved to Western Fields. Since 1825, the property was owned by the Phillips family, prominent Wicomico County planters during the 19th and 20th centuries. Western Fields was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1987.

The Maple Leaf Farm Potato House is a historic agricultural storage building located on the property of Western Fields at Hebron, Wicomico County, Maryland. It was originally located on the north side of U.S. Route 50, southeast of the intersection with White Lowe Road, and moved to its present site within Western Fields in July 1997. It is a common bond brick structure measuring 40 feet by 24 feet, built between 1920 and 1928, and used for the storage of sweet potatoes. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1998.

Spring Hill Church, also known as Old Spring Hill and St. Paul's Episcopal Church, was a historic Episcopal church located at Hebron, Wicomico County, Maryland. It was located eight miles north on the Wicomico River from Green Hill Church, which it strongly resembled. The white frame structure, two bays wide and four deep and set on a Flemish bond brick foundation, was constructed as St. Paul's Episcopal Church in 1773. The interior featured a barrel-vault ceiling. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1976.Fire destroyed the historic wooden church on July 22, 2014, months after it celebrated its 240th anniversary. Nearly 100 firefighters from numerous fire departments, including Wicomico County as well as Sussex County, Delaware responded to the fire, which investigators said quickly escalated to three alarms.

WXSU-LP is the student-run radio station at Salisbury University in Salisbury, Maryland. The station, formerly known as WSUR, was forced to change call letters when registering with the FCC because of an existing television station with those call letters in Puerto Rico. WXSU-LP first went live to the Salisbury community in 2005 with a low power, 100 watt signal. The station currently operates during the Fall and Spring semesters from Late August to Mid-May. WXSU-LP is considered a "Big 6 Student Organization" at Salisbury University because it is one of the six top student organizations that receives block funding from the university. The station can be picked up around the Salisbury area and the studio is located in the Guerrieri University Center. The station is also available on the campus cable system in partnership with SUTV on channel 7-6 and 8-1. WXSU-LP broadcasts online streaming as of August 2013 on UStream. WXSU-LP works closely with the campus community and Registered Student Organizations (RSO's) to provide DJ services and promotions for meaningful events. WXSU-LP is celebrating 40 years as a student-run radio organization from its beginning as WSSC in 1974. The first broadcast date of WSSC was November 6, 1974 and the first song to be played was "Enter the Young" by the Association.

Quantico is an unincorporated community and census-designated place in Wicomico County, Maryland, United States, along the former stage route from Vienna to the port of Whitehaven on the Wicomico River. It consists of approximately 35 homes on the Quantico Creek. The community lies four miles (6 km) from Hebron along Maryland Route 347. There are two churches, a general store, and a post office in the community. It is part of the Salisbury, Maryland-Delaware Metropolitan Statistical Area. As of the 2010 census, Quantico had a population of 133. Quantico is a Native American name meaning "place of dancing". The oldest home in Quantico is at 6508 Quantico Road. The house was built in 1790 with an addition added in 1810; the dates can be traced by the nails on the property. Built with brick and covered in stucco to imitate scored ashlar construction, the house had two exposed brick walls on the north and south sides. Today, the home does not face the street as it was built to face Quantico Creek, originally part of the property. The house and 3 acres (12,000 m2) were sold in 1798 and purchased in January by Henry Crawford, a tanner, who gave the property the name Chelsea. Census records show that the house at the time had a log cookhouse, stable and meathouse, as well as other commercial buildings such as a tannery, shed, barkhouse and millhouse. St. Bartholomew's Episcopal Church was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1975.

Wicomico County ( wy-KOM-ik-oh) is located in the southeastern part of the U.S. state of Maryland, on the Delmarva Peninsula. As of the 2020 census, the population was 103,588. The county seat is Salisbury. The county was named for the Wicomico River, which in turn derives its name from the Algonquian language words wicko mekee, meaning "a place where houses are built," apparently referring to a Native American town on the banks. The county is included in the Salisbury, MD-DE Metropolitan Statistical Area.

Pemberton Hall is a historic home located at Pemberton Park in Salisbury, Wicomico County, Maryland, United States. It is a 1+1⁄2-story, three-bay, Flemish bond brick house with a gambrel roof. The construction date of "1741" is scratched in a brick above the side door. Pemberton Hall was built by Col. Isaac Handy (d. 1762).During the American Civil War, the Hall was the home of Allison Parsons, a Southern sympathizer. Despite the Federal troops encamped in Salisbury, Parsons insisted on firing a cannon upon the receipt of news of each Confederate victory. After Parsons ignored orders to cease the firings, U.S. Army soldiers raided Pemberton Hall intent on silencing the cannon. Their efforts were thwarted by Parsons, who had buried the cannon before their arrival. "In addition to the cannon firing which provoked the raid, Parsons used Pemberton Hall as a rendezvous for Eastern Shore Confederate sympathizers.".In 1868, the Governor of Maryland, Elihu E. Jackson (1837–1907), purchased Pemberton Hall with James Cannon at a trustee's sale. Seth Taylor owned Pemberton Hall from 1931 to 1963, at which time the Pemberton Hall Foundation took it over and restored the house.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1971.

Andrade, through licensee The Voice Radio, LLC, and features programming from Westwood One. On November 21, 2018, the then-WICO changed their format from regional Mexican to a simulcast of classic rock-formatted WJKI-FM 103.5 from Bethany Beach, Delaware, branded as "The Vault". The station changed its call sign to WJKI on November 30, 2018.
