The Delmarva Peninsula, or simply Delmarva, is a peninsula on the East Coast of the United States, occupied by the majority of the state of Delaware and parts of the Eastern Shore of Maryland and Eastern Shore of Virginia. The peninsula is 170 miles (274 km) long. In width, it ranges from 70 miles (113 km) near its center, to 12 miles (19 km) at the isthmus on its northern edge, to less near its southern tip of Cape Charles. It is bordered by the Chesapeake Bay on the west, Pocomoke Sound on the southwest, and the Delaware River, Delaware Bay, and the Atlantic Ocean on the east. The population of the twelve counties entirely on the peninsula totaled 818,014 people as of the 2020 census.

Ralph Potato House is a historic potato house located near Laurel, Sussex County, Delaware. It one of the last surviving examples of its building type. It was built about 1915, and is a 1+1⁄2-story, gable fronted, balloon frame structure on a brick foundation. It retains a number of important elements characteristic of potato house including: double sheathing, an interior brick chimney, shuttered openings, and gaps between walls and floorboards. It was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1990.

Wheeling Branch is a 2.45 mi (3.94 km) long 1st order tributary to Tussocky Branch in Sussex County, Delaware. This is the only stream of this name in the United States.

The Wright Potato House was a small 1+1⁄2-story building near Laurel, Delaware that was built to store harvested sweet potatoes. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1990.

The Collins Potato House is located near Laurel, Delaware, one of the last surviving examples of its building type. The southern part of Delaware saw a sweet potato boom from 1900 until blight struck in the 1940s. In order to store the crops, potato houses were built. The Collins house was the first to be built in the Little Creek Hundred region and dates to the late 19th century. Measuring 19 feet (5.8 m) by 30 feet (9.1 m), the two-story balloon-frame structure consists of a central aisle flanked by bins on both levels. There are five bins per side. An interior stair provides access to the first floor. Freeze protection was provided by a coal stove. Wall construction is in three layers, with interior planking, sheathing and weatherboard siding. The front elevation on the west side features door at the first and second floors, while the rear elevation has a door at the first floor and a window at the second. Small windows are in both gables for ventilation. The Collins Potato House was placed on the National Register of Historic Places on November 15, 1990.

Portsville is an unincorporated community in Sussex County, Delaware, United States. Portsville is located on the southern bank of Broad Creek, 0.8 miles (1.3 km) southwest of Bethel. The Portsville Lighthouse, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, is located in Portsville. There is an 8.6 acre pond nearby called Tussock Pond.

Broad Creek is a 8.00 mi (12.87 km) long 4th order tributary to the Nanticoke River in Sussex County, Delaware.

The Portsville Lighthouse was a historic house in Portsville, Sussex County, Delaware, situated along Broad Creek. The house was a folly, not a functional lighthouse, and was the oldest folly in Delaware. The house was built in 1932 by New York Supreme Court justice Edward R. Koch, who built the lighthouse on an existing home, store and shirt factory, the latter two moved from other parts of the village. Standing six stories tall, the lighthouse tower was one of the tallest buildings in inland Sussex County. The house was added to the National Register of Historic Places on September 8, 1987. The tower was torn down in the mid-1990s due to deterioration, and the house was destroyed by fire in February 2010 and dismantled the following July. The site is maintained by the state of Delaware as a fishing access area.

Tussocky Branch is a 7.54 mi (12.13 km) long 2nd order tributary to Broad Creek in Sussex County, Delaware.

Phillips Potato House is a historic potato house located near Laurel, Sussex County, Delaware. It one of the last surviving examples of its building type. It was built about 1900, and is a two-story, balloon frame structure on a concrete foundation and with a gable roof. It measures 24 feet by 29 feet, and at the time of designation to the National Register of Historic Places was sheathed in green asbestos shingles over original weatherboards. The Philips potato house was restored around 2015. It was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1990.
