Chigang station

Modiesha station (Chinese: 磨碟沙站; pinyin: Módiéshā Zhàn; Jyutping: mo4dip6saa1 zaam6) is a station on Line 8 and Line 18 of the Guangzhou Metro. Line 8 started operation on 28 June 2003 and Line 18 started operation on 28 September 2021. It is located under Xingang East Road (新港东路) in the Haizhu District of Guangzhou.Before the extension to both lines 2 and 8 opened in September 2010, this station ran as part of Line 2 as a single line from Wanshengwei to Sanyuanli.

Longtan Station (simplified Chinese: 龙潭站; traditional Chinese: 龍潭站; pinyin: Lóngtán Zhàn; Jyutping: lung4taam4 zaam6) is a station on Line 18 of the Guangzhou Metro, located underground between Xinjiao Middle Road and Taichong in Guangzhou's Haizhu District. It opened on 28 September 2021.The station will become an interchange station with Line 11 in 2024.

The Expedition to Canton was a British punitive expedition that captured the forts along the Pearl River, Guangdong province, China, on 2–3 April 1847. Beginning at the Humen Strait (Bogue), the British captured the forts leading up to the city of Canton (Guangzhou). The operation was in response to British subjects being attacked by the Chinese near Canton. Hong Kong Governor John Davis demanded redress from Chinese Commissioner Keying. Unsatisfied with his reply, Davis ordered Major-General George D'Aguilar, the commander-in-chief of British forces in China, to seize the forts approaching Canton and to prepare for an attack on the city to force reparations on the spot. The forts were captured, but Canton was spared after Keying agreed to punish the culprits and to allow entry into the city.

Guangzhou Fuda Cancer Hospital is a tertiary specialized cancer hospital which is affiliated with the Health Department of Guangdong Province in China. It was designated a national key clinical (cancer) hospital by the National Health and Family Planning Commission in 2011. Kecun Station (Chinese: 客村站; Cantonese Yale: Haakchyūn Jaahm) is an interchange station between Lines 3 and 8 of the Guangzhou Metro. It started operations on 28 June 2003. It is located at the underground of Kecun Village in Haizhu District.Before the extension to both lines 2 and 8 opened in September 2010, this station ran as part of Line 2 as a single line from Wanshengwei to Sanyuanli.

Canton Tower Station (simplified Chinese: 广州塔站; traditional Chinese: 廣州塔站; Cantonese Yale: Gwóngjāu Taap Jaahm) is an interchange station on Line 3 and Zhujiang New Town Automated People Mover Systems of the Guangzhou Metro. It started operations on 28 December 2005. It is an underground station located to the south of Binjiang Road East in Haizhu District, on the south bank of the Pearl River. The station was previously called Chigang Pagoda Station (赤岗塔站), named after the nearby Chigang Pagoda which, despite being a relatively lesser-known architectural heritage in Guangzhou, was the only recognisable structure in the immediate vicinity when the station was constructed. However, after the station was opened, the Canton Tower, a new TV and sightseeing tower, was built directly above it. This iconic piece of architecture quickly became the city's new landmark, and the name of the station was often confused with Chigang station (赤岗站) of line 8, so it was changed to Canton Tower Station in December 2013 when line 6 was opened. It is the first station built for sightseeing purposes in the Guangzhou Metro system. The station is connected to an underground APM system which provides quick access to the Zhujiang New Town CBD across the river.The station is the terminus of the Haizhu Tram line of Guangzhou Trams, which runs to Wanshengwei Station.

Xinjiao Town (Chinese: 新滘镇; pinyin: Xīnjiào zhèn; Jyutping: San1gaau3 zan3) is a town in the Haizhu District of Guangzhou, Guangdong Province, China. The town is known for its orchards, which produce fruits such as star-fruit, pomegranate, banana, papaya, orange, and litchi. Like many neighboring communities, it is also noted for its canals, which are incorporated into the design of parts of the city, abutting houses and bridges, which date back as far as the Ming Dynasty (1279–1644). Several Qing Dynasty (1644–1911) temples are also located in the area. These features make the town a popular attraction for tourists.

Liede Bridge (Chinese: 猎德大桥) is a bridge crossing over the Pearl River in Guangzhou, Guangdong, China. The 4.3 kilometres (2.7 mi) bridge connects Pazhou Island in Haizhu District with Tianhe District and opened in 2009.

Haixinsha Station (Chinese: 海心沙站; pinyin: Hǎixīnshā Zhàn; Jyutping: hoi2sam1saa1 zaam6) is a metro station of the Guangzhou Metro APM line. It is located at the underground of Haixinsha Island, venue of the opening and closing ceremonies of the 2010 Asian Games. It started operation on 24 February 2011, three months after the games ended.

Huanan Bridge (simplified Chinese: 华南大桥; traditional Chinese: 華南大橋; pinyin: Huánándàqiáo) is a bridge crossing the Pearl River in Guangzhou, China. The bridge carries the Huanan Expressway, which connects the Haizhu District and southern Panyu District with the Tianhe District. It also serves as an important connection between the grounds of the biannual Canton Fair in Pazhou and the new central business district of Zhujiang New Town.

Haizhu District is one of 11 urban districts of the prefecture-level city of Guangzhou, the capital of Guangdong Province, China.
