Via Júlia is a Barcelona Metro station, on L4. It opened in 1982 but didn't take its current name until 1999; before then it was known as Roquetes (name recently retaken by another station). It's located in the Roquetes area of the Nou Barris district, underneath Via Júlia, an important road in the area, between two streets: Carrer de Joaquim Valls and Carrer d'Argullós and can be accessed from both sides of the road.

Nou Barris (Catalan pronunciation: [ˈnɔw ˈβaris], lit. "nine neighbourhoods") is one of the ten districts into which Barcelona has been officially divided since 1984. The name refers to the original nine neighbourhoods it was composed of, even though nowadays it's made up of thirteen. It covers an area of 8.04 km2. It is located in the northern part of the city adjacent to two other districts of Barcelona: Sant Andreu and Horta-Guinardó and grew up extensively out of small urbanised areas near the former municipalities of Sant Joan d'Horta and Sant Andreu de Palomar (now neighbourhoods of Barcelona) in the 20th century, especially from the 1950s on. The district council is located in a former mental institution, the Institut Mental de la Santa Creu.

La Guineueta (Catalan pronunciation: [lə ɣinəˈwɛtə]; "The Little Vixen") is one of the nine original neighbourhoods that gave name to the district Nou Barris (literally, nine neighbourhoods) in Barcelona. Actually, the district have 13 neighbourhoods. Its size is about 57 ha. located between Parc Central dels Nou Barris and Parc de la Guineueta, and between Plaça de Karl Marx and Plaça de Llucmajor. Modern construction in the area began in the 1950s, and was settled by migrants from other parts of Spain. Before then there were just a few abandoned vineyards and cereal fields and the ruins of an aqueduct. The name of the neighbourhood means "little fox" in Catalan and was the name of a mas (a country house) of the area. The area known as Guineueta Nova was renamed as Canyelles in the 1970s.

Line 4, also known as Trinitat Nova – La Pau, usually called "línia groga" (yellow line), is a line in the Barcelona Metro network operated by TMB, and part of the ATM fare-integrated transport network. It serves the northern districts of the city, and it is being extended to the new major metro and rail stations Estació de la Sagrera and Sagrera-Meridiana.

Trinitat Nova is a Barcelona Metro station, named after the nearby La Trinitat Nova neighbourhood, in the Nou Barris district of the city of Barcelona. The station is served by lines L3, L4 and L11.Lines L4 and L11 share a single island platform, which is located underneath Carrer Aiguablava. Trains on line L4 enter and leave from the south end of the platform and normally terminate on the eastern side of the platform, whilst trains on line L11 enter and leave from the other end and terminate on the other side of the platform. Line L3 uses a separate 100-metre (330 ft) island platform, situated between Carrer Aiguablava and Carrer Chafarinas. The two platforms are linked by underground passageways.The first section of the station was opened in 1999, with the extension of L4 from what is now Via Júlia station. Line L11 was opened in 2003, as a light rail extension to line L4, towards Can Cuiàs station and sharing line L4's platforms. Line L3 arrived at Trinitat Nova on 4 October 2008, with its own platforms.

Plaça de la República (in Catalan, meaning in English: Republic Square), previously called "Plaça de Llucmajor" is a square in Barcelona, unofficially regarded as the nucleus of its Nou Barris district. It's the intersection of three avenues: Passeig de Valldaura, Passeig de Verdum and Via Júlia, Barcelona. Besides, it's the official border between four neighbourhoods of the district: Guineueta, Prosperitat, Porta and Verdum. Being scarcely more than a roundabout, its center is occupied since 1990 by a 30-metre high metal monument made by Josep Viladomat in the 1930s called La República, with the effigy of Francesc Pi i Margall. The monument was originally located in the much more famous intersection between Passeig de Gràcia and Avinguda Diagonal, which is nowadays still crowned by a Francoist monument.The November 29, 2015 the City Council announced the upcoming change of name of the square, which will be renamed "Plaça de la República". The change will be effective on April 14, 2016.

The station is served by line L3.The station is located under Carrer de Federico García Lorca and Via Favència-Ronda de Dalt. It has an access on each side of the station on to Mercat-García Lorca and Via Favència, and Parc de Josep Maria Serra Martí. The single 100-metre (330 ft) long island platform is flanked by two tracks.The station was opened in 2001, when the section of line L3 was extended from Montbau station. It remained the terminus of line L3 until 2008, when the line was further extended to Trinitat Nova station.Canyelles station was designed by Alfons Soldevila and is considerably more modern-looking than most of the city's other stations.
