Dionysos (Greek: Διόνυσος) is a northern suburb of the Athens agglomeration and a municipality in northeastern Attica, Greece. The seat of the municipality is the town Agios Stefanos.

Stamata (Greek: Σταμάτα) is a community in Athens, East Attica regional unit, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform, it is part of the municipality Dionysos, of which it is a municipal unit. The municipal unit has an area of 18.950 km2.Stamata is a rather exclusive suburb, situated in the mountainous northeastern part of the Athenian plain, between the Parnitha and Penteli mountains, about 23 km northeast of center of Athens. Till the last decades, only the main village was inhabited, while the rural area was cultivated by the inhabitants of the village. Nowadays, there are also residences in the settlement of Amygdaleza (Αμυγδαλέζα) and the residential associations of Euxeinos Pontos (Εύξεινος Πόντος) and Prokonisos (Προκόνησος). Stamata could be designated as a rural, rather than a suburban, area, but luxury houses and villas are continuously being developed, mainly in the aforementioned residential associations, turning Stamata into an upper middle class suburb.

Drosia (Greek: Δροσιά, meaning "dew", before 1947: Ρωσσοχώρι - Rossochori) is a town in the East Attica regional unit and a suburb of the Athens agglomeration, Attica, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Dionysos, of which it is a municipal unit.Drosia is a mainly residential suburb, known for its location in the midst of evergreen pine forests. During the extreme heat of Greek summers, many people from the whole Athens urban area drive up to Drosia on the weekends, seeking cool and shade in the taverns, cafes and one outdoor cinema theater, for which the area is known.

Pentele (Ancient Greek: Πεντέλη) was a deme of ancient Attica, situated at the north-eastern extremity of the Athenian plain, at the marble quarries of Mount Brilessus, which was called Mount Pentelicus from this place. The fact of Pentele being a deme rests upon the authority of Stephanus of Byzantium alone, and has not yet been confirmed by inscriptions. The site of Pentele is tentatively located near modern Penteli.

Trinemeia (Ancient Greek: Τρινέμεια) was a deme of ancient Attica at which one of the minor branches of the Cephissus takes its rise.Trinemeia's site is tentatively located near modern Kokkinaras.

Plotheia (Ancient Greek: Πλώθεια) was a deme of ancient Attica and appears to have belonged to the district of Epacria, and to have been not far from Halae Araphenides. It was noted for its festival celebrating the hero Pandion.Its site is located south of modern Stamata.

Davelis Cave (Greek: Σπήλαιο Νταβέλη) is a well-known cave in Penteli, a mountain to the north of Athens, Greece.

Anoixi (Greek: Άνοιξη, meaning "spring") is a suburb of Athens in East Attica, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Dionysos, of which it is a municipal unit. The municipal unit has an area of 4.582 km2.

Ekali (Greek: Εκάλη) is a town and an affluent suburb of the Athens agglomeration, Greece. Located to the north of the city centre, it is a green and lush area home to many of the country's most powerful business and shipping families. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality of Kifisia, as a municipal unit.

Icaria or Ikaria (Ancient Greek: Ἰκαρία), also known as Icarium or Ikarion (Ἰκάριον), was a deme of ancient Attica. It holds pride of place due to its prominence in Greek mythology as the place where Icarius received Dionysus, who taught him the art of making wine. Nearby was Mount Icarius.The site of Icaria is located near modern Dionysos, Greece.

Agios Stefanos (Greek: Άγιος Στέφανος, meaning Saint Stephen) is a town and a northern suburb of the Athens agglomeration, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality of Dionysos, of which it is the seat and a municipal unit. The municipal unit has an area of 8.136 km2.

Mount Pentelicus or Pentelikon (Greek: Πεντέλη, Πεντελικόν or Πεντελικό Όρος) is a mountain in Attica, Greece, situated northeast of Athens and southwest of Marathon. Its highest point is the peak Pyrgari, with an elevation of 1,109 m. The mountain is covered in large part with forest (about 60 or 70%), and can be seen from southern Athens (Attica), the Pedia plain, Parnitha, and the southern part of the northern suburbs of Athens. Houses surround the mountain, especially in Vrilissia, Penteli, Ekali, Dionysos, and north of Gerakas. Marble from Mount Pentelicus is of exceptionally high quality and was used to construct much of the Athenian Acropolis. Later, Pentelic marble was exported to Rome, where it was used in construction and in sculptures.In ancient times it was also called Brilissos or Brilittos (Greek: Βριλησσός, Βριληττός) which is the origin of the name of the nearby suburb of Vrilissia.
