Delftse Poort (English: Delft Gate Building) is a twin-tower skyscraper complex at Weena 505 next to the Rotterdam Centraal railway station in Rotterdam, Netherlands. Tower I is 151.35 m (496.6 ft) with 41 stories, and Tower II is 93 m (305 ft) with 25 stories. Until May 2009, Tower I was the tallest office tower in the Netherlands. Both towers are built over a 4-storey multifunctional podium which adjoins the Rotterdam central station. The entire complex has 28 elevators. The gross floor area in the complex is 106,000 m2 (1,140,000 sq ft), and the offices occupy 66,000 m2 (710,000 sq ft). It was constructed between 1988 and 1991. The cost of the construction was 240 million Dutch guilders, or about €110 million. Due to a metro tunnel running underneath the complex, advanced construction methods were required, allowing only a single underground floor to be built. The building is also known as Nationale-Nederlanden building, because until 2015 the Dutch Company 'Nationale-Nederlanden' (National-Netherlands) was the main user of the building. Nationale-Nederlanden was the local insurance branch of ING Insurance until 2014. In April 2015, the building was officially reopened by owner CBRE Global Investors as a general-purpose office building with 65,000 m2 (700,000 sq ft) of office space. Nationale-Nederlanden became a tenant renting only a third of the building complex, and hence their logo on Tower I was removed. Since then the building has established its own identity, displaying its own logo on Tower I.Until 2004, an annual race up the building's stairs took place in this building.

The Westerkerk (Dutch pronunciation: [ʋɛstərkɛr(ə)k]; English: Western Church) was a Protestant church on the Kruiskade in Rotterdam, Netherlands completed in 1870 and destroyed in the bombing of Rotterdam in May 1940. The Westerkerk was designed by architect J.A. Jurriaanse in an eclectic mix of styles, the tower was neo-Gothic, front and side walls Neo-Romanesque and the interior referred to the seventeenth-century Protestant churches, like the New Church in Haarlem. The church was fully paid for by the Dutch Reformed Church itself. On December 28, 1867 procurement began. The building was eventually contracted to G. Key. On June 12, 1868 the first stone was laid and exactly two years later, First Pentecost 1870, the church was in use. The pastor during the service, Rev. W.Th. of Griethuysen, choose the text Matthew 21 verse 13: "It is written, My house shall be called a house of prayer." During the Bombing of Rotterdam in 1940 the church was damaged beyond repair. Replacing the Westerkerk and the Zuiderkerk in the Glashaven in 1960 was the Paulus Church in the Mauritsweg.

Millennium Tower is a 35-story, 130.8 m (429 ft) skyscraper in Rotterdam, Netherlands design by WZMH Architects and AGS Architecten. It was completed in 2000. The tower was built on Weena in front of the Central station. It is currently mixed use, the first 15 floors belong to the Rotterdam Marriott Hotel, including 2 restaurant, the other floor are being used as offices.

De Doelen is a concert venue and convention centre in Rotterdam, Netherlands. It was originally built in 1934 but then destroyed in 1940 during the German bombardment of Rotterdam in May 1940 at the outset of World War II. It was rebuilt in 1966, originally with one hall to which two more were added in the 1990s.It has a variety of facilities, including the Grote Zaal (Grand Hall), a 2,200-seat concert hall, two smaller halls which each seat about 700 people, and convention rooms. In 2015 it was classified as a Rijksmonument.Although mainly known as a venue for classical music, de Doelen is also a stage for jazz, world music and as the Central Boxoffice for the International Film Festival Rotterdam. It is also the home of the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra.

Moments Contained is a 2022-2023 bronze sculpture on the Stationsplein, in front of Rotterdam Centraal station, Rotterdam, the Netherlands. It was created by artist Thomas J. Price, a London-based artist with Caribbean roots.

Havo voor Muziek en Dans (School for Music and Dance) formerly Hogeschool voor Muziek en Dans is a secondary school (havo) in Rotterdam, Netherlands that specializes in music and dance. It has about 200 pupils from all parts of the country. The Havo voor Muziek en Dans shares a building and music and dance teachers with Codarts, the Conservatory of Music and Dance Academy.

Codarts University for the Arts (Dutch: Codarts hogeschool voor de kunsten) is a Dutch vocational university in Rotterdam that teaches music, dance and circus. It was established in its present location in 2000.

The Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, also known as the Provenierskerk or Proveniershuis Singelkerk was a Roman Catholic church on the Proveniershuis canal in Rotterdam. The church was built between 1898 and 1899 by the architectural firm of Albert Margry and Joseph Snickers. Margry designed a three-aisled church in neo-Gothic style, with a tower next to the facade. Provenierskerk was consecrated on May 8, 1899, by the Bishop of Haarlem. The first year it had no church bells, which were only installed in 1910. In 1916 the church received an organ. On the side walls of the church was a special Stations of the Cross, which was created by the Delft Factory The Royal Delft. A marble communion rail was placed in the church in 1914. The church was served by the Fathers Dominicans . The first year the church was in the parish of the Allerheiligst Hart van Jezuskerk on the Van Oldenbarneveltstraat, but in 1923 the Provenierskerk became an independent parish. In the years before World War II, the district had an influx of Catholics and the church was crowded. The Provenierskerk remained intact from the bombing of Rotterdam, after which it was also used by believers of other parishes whose churches were destroyed. During the war the Father organized the local opposition from the church. In 1942 the church bells were looted by the Germans, but were replaced in 1947. In 1960, the number of believers fell strongly and it was not profitable for the church to open. After the last Mass on Aug. 31, 1975, the church was sold to the city of Rotterdam, which then demolished the building. Unlike many other churches that were threatened with demolition, Provenierskerk never conducted operations in order to preserve the church, as it was felt that the building had no historical value. Subsequently, a nursing home was built on the site of the church. The Stations of the Cross and the statue of Maria were transferred to the Albertus de Grotekerk in Blijdorp.

Weena is a street with many highrises in the center of Rotterdam. The street leads from the Stationsplein to the Hofplein. On the other side of the Centraal Station the street is called the Beukelsdijk. In 2007 Weena was named the most air-polluted street in the Netherlands.Weena was named after the Hof van Wena, a 12th-century keep which stood at the site of the former Hofplein Station.

The station received an average of 110,000 passengers daily in 2007. The current station building, located at Station Square, was officially opened in March 2014.

Hofplein is a major public town square in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. The square lies on a crossing of the Weena, the Schiekade and the Coolsingel. In the center of the square a large fountain is situated. Near the square lay the former Rotterdam Hofplein railway station.
