Laval-sur-le-Lac–Île-Bizard Ferry

Sainte-Dorothée was a commuter rail station operated by the Réseau de transport métropolitain (RTM) in Laval, Quebec, Canada. It is a future Réseau express métropolitain station.

The 1954 Canada Cup took place August 20–22 at the Laval-sur-le-Lac Golf Club in Laval, Quebec, Canada. It was the second Canada Cup event, which became the World Cup in 1967. The tournament was a 72-hole stroke play team event with 25 teams. Each team consisted of two players from a country. The combined score of each team determined the team results. 18 holes were played on the first two days with 36 holes played on the final day. The Australian team of Kel Nagle and Peter Thomson won by four strokes over the Argentine team of Antonio Cerdá and Roberto De Vicenzo. Canadian Stan Leonard had the lowest individual score with 275, two strokes ahead of Peter Thomson.

Île Bigras is the largest of the four islands that make up the Îles-Laval archipelago in the Rivière des Prairies in Quebec. They all are part of the city of Laval since 1965. The 1 km (0.62 mi) Île Bigras was named in 1817 as Île Amesse, after the name of its owner, Louis Amesse (other more recent maps have also shown the names Île Boiret and Île Boisvert). The island was bought in 1890 by Émilien Bigras, who gave it his name. He was also the owner of the three other islands of the archipelago: Île Pariseau, Île Verte and Île Ronde. Thanks to the Deux-Montagnes commuter train line and its station, the island is less than 30 minutes from Downtown Montreal and Central Station. It is also less than a quarter-hour from the seasonal reaction ferry that connects Île Bizard with Laval-sur-le-Lac. A park and ride at the station can accommodate several cars.

Bois-de-l'Île-Bizard Nature Park is a large nature park in the L'Île-Bizard–Sainte-Geneviève borough of Montreal, Quebec, Canada. The nature park is in the east-central part of Île Bizard. Almost all of the area is located in the interior of the island, linking the Lake of Two Mountains and the Rivière des Prairies. Pointe-aux-Carrières is the largest of the three coastal locations. It is the location of the park's welcome centre.

The Îles Laval are an island grouping in the Rivière des Prairies in southwestern Quebec, part of the Hochelaga Archipelago. Formerly an independent municipality (Les Îles-Laval), they became part of the city of Laval on August 6, 1965.

The seasonal Laval-sur-le-Lac–Île-Bizard Ferry, which does not operate in winter, connects Laval-sur-le-Lac with Île Bizard.

It is part of the Deux-Montagnes Regional County Municipality in the greater Montreal region. It is located 40 kilometres (25 mi) from Montreal.

Île Pariseau is a small island located in the Rivière des Prairies across the river from Île Bizard and Montreal Island. The island is part of Îles Laval which is linked to Île Jésus (Sainte Dorothée, Laval), Quebec, Canada. Îles Laval became part of Laval in 1965.

Grand-Moulin is a light rail station that will be operated by the Réseau express métropolitain in Deux-Montagnes, Quebec, Canada. It was served by the Deux-Montagnes line until the line closed in 2020.

CJLV is a French-language Canadian radio station located in Laval, Quebec, near Montreal. Owned and operated by Radio Humsafar Inc, it broadcasts on 1570 kHz with a power of 10,000 watts as a class B station, using a directional antenna pointing east which has a slightly directional pattern during the day and a much tighter pattern at night, to protect Class-A clear-channel station XERF-AM in Ciudad Acuña, Coahuila, Mexico. The station's nighttime signal has been received by many DXers in Europe and is considered there as one of the "easy" targets for Transatlantic DX.
