Deux-Montagnes is a suburban municipality in Southwestern Quebec, Canada on the north shore of the Rivière des Mille Îles where it flows out of Lake of Two Mountains (French: Lac des Deux Montagnes). It is part of the Deux-Montagnes Regional County Municipality in the greater Montreal region. It is located 40 kilometres (25 mi) from Montreal.

The Laval-sur-le-Lac–Île-Bizard Ferry is a seasonal reaction ferry, crossing the city limits of Montreal in the Canadian province of Quebec. It carries cars, bicycles and pedestrians across the Rivière des Prairies from Laval-sur-le-Lac to Île Bizard.The ferry carries a maximum of 34 passengers and 6 vehicles 200 m (656 ft) across the river in 3 minutes using its current.As of 2018 season, the cost for automobiles is CAD $4.25 .

This community contains North America's oldest French speaking private golf club, Le Club Laval-sur-le-Lac, established in 1917. Bois-de-l'Île-Bizard Nature Park is a large nature park in the L'Île-Bizard–Sainte-Geneviève borough of Montreal, Quebec, Canada. The nature park is in the east-central part of Île Bizard. Almost all of the area is located in the interior of the island, linking the Lake of Two Mountains and the Rivière des Prairies. Pointe-aux-Carrières is the largest of the three coastal locations. It is the location of the park's welcome centre.

Île Bigras is the largest of the four islands that make up the Îles-Laval archipelago in the Rivière des Prairies in Quebec. They all are part of the city of Laval since 1965. The 1 km (0.62 mi) Île Bigras was named in 1817 as Île Amesse, after the name of its owner, Louis Amesse (other more recent maps have also shown the names Île Boiret and Île Boisvert). The island was bought in 1890 by Émilien Bigras, who gave it his name. He was also the owner of the three other islands of the archipelago: Île Pariseau, Île Verte and Île Ronde. Thanks to the Deux-Montagnes commuter train line and its station, the island is less than 30 minutes from Downtown Montreal and Central Station. It is also less than a quarter-hour from the seasonal reaction ferry that connects Île Bizard with Laval-sur-le-Lac. A park and ride at the station can accommodate several cars.

Île Pariseau is a small island located in the Rivière des Prairies across the river from Île Bizard and Montreal Island. The island is part of Îles Laval which is linked to Île Jésus (Sainte Dorothée, Laval), Quebec, Canada. Îles Laval became part of Laval in 1965.

Polyvalente Deux-Montagnes (PDM) is a Francophone secondary school in Deux-Montagnes, Quebec, Canada. It is a part of the Commission scolaire de la Seigneurie-des-Mille-Îles (CSSMI). With a little over 2,000 students, PDM is one of the largest comprehensive ("polyvalente") high schools in Quebec. PDM offers four academic programs: the international program (PEI), the regular program, the football program, and the specialized program. Polyvalente Deux-Montagnes was founded in 1966 and is well known for its successful basketball, badminton, volleyball, and most notably its football program ("Les Centurions") and his improvisation team ("Les Verts"). During the 1966/67 school year it was also known as Two Mountains Regional High School with English students from as far away as Oka and Laval Ouest. French students were also in the same school during the 1966/67 school year. PDM serves students from Deux-Montagnes, Pointe-Calumet,Sainte-Marthe-sur-le-lac, and Saint-Eustache.
