Alamance Regional Medical Center is a private, not-for-profit 238 bed hospital located in Burlington, North Carolina. The hospital opened in 1995 on Huffman Mill Road. Alamance Regional provides healthcare to residents of Alamance County, North Carolina and surrounding areas. Alamance Regional joined the Cone Health network in May 2013.

Johnston Hall is a historic building located on the campus of Elon University in Elon, Alamance County, North Carolina. It was built in 1925, and is a substantial, two-story, H-shaped, red brick Classical Revival style building. The front facade features a one-story flat-roof porch carried by brick piers. The building is the historical centerpiece of the Elon Homes for Children campus, an orphanage founded in 1907. The building is named for Charles David Johnston, superintendent of the orphanage.The building was acquired by Elon University in 2003. It now serves as the headquarters for Elon University's Office of University Advancement.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1994.

Elon College Historic District is a national historic district located on the campus of Elon University at Elon, Alamance County, North Carolina. It encompasses 6 contributing buildings and 1 contributing object that form the historic core of the Elon College campus. They are the West Dormitory (1907), and five buildings built between 1923–1927 which form an H-shaped complex: Alamance Building, Whitley Auditorium, Carlton Library, Duke Science Building, and Mooney Building. The object is a monument erected in 1929. All of the buildings are three-story red brick buildings of Colonial Revival / Georgian Revival design.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.

The Elon University campus is a 636-acre (2.57 km2) campus in Elon, North Carolina United States. The campus is located mostly along East Haggard Avenue between Manning Avenue and North Oak Avenue, and North Williamson Avenue between the railroad tracks and University Drive. Other minor streets travel through and into campus. The campus is about three miles (5 km) from Interstate 40/85 and abuts the city of Burlington.

WSOE is a non-commercial student-run college radio station based at Elon University in Elon, North Carolina that broadcasts at 89.3fm. The station serves as a creative outlet for students and as a means for students to develop skills for professional broadcast careers. WSOE offers a variety of opportunities in music shows, sports broadcasting, artist interviews, and music technology. The station aims to promote local artists through ticket giveaways, interviews, and playing these musicians' music over the air.

Licensed to Burlington-Graham, North Carolina, the station covers the Greensboro metropolitan area and part of the Raleigh-Durham metropolitan area. It is owned by Chuck Marsh, through licensee Triad Media Partners, Inc., and calls itself "Hope 104.5." The studios and offices are on North Main Street in Kernersville, North Carolina. By day, WPCM transmits 5,000 watts non-directional, but to avoid interference to other stations on 920 AM, at night it reduces power to only 55 watts. The transmitter is on Tower Drive at West Front Street in Burlington. Programming is also heard on FM translator 104.5 MHz W283BT in Burlington.

Alamance Mill Village Historic District is a national historic district located at Alamance, Alamance County, North Carolina. It encompasses 18 contributing buildings and 1 contributing structure built between 1840 and 1947 in Alamance. The district includes 15 mill houses, a warehouse, and the mill dam and connected remains of the head race.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2007.

Walter C. Latham Park is a baseball venue located in Elon, North Carolina, United States. It is home to the Elon Phoenix baseball team, a member of the Division I Colonial Athletic Association. The venue has a capacity of 2,000 spectators.The venue is named for Walter C. Latham, an Elon alumnus and North Carolina educator and athletic coach. Newsome Field is the name of the baseball field itself at the facility. The field portion is named for Wilburn E. "Webb" Newsome, a member of the Elon Athletics Hall of Fame who participated in football, baseball, and boxing at the school.In 2005, lights were installed at the venue, allowing night games to be played for the first time. In the summer of 2010, a donation by Bryan Latham, son of the late Walter C. Latham for whom the field is named, allowed for more renovations. A FieldTurf infield was installed, along with a new outfield drainage system and new fencing.A Latham Park attendance record was set on April 28, 2009. In front of 1,873 spectators, Elon defeated then-nationally ranked East Carolina 10-8. The venue's first crowd of over 1,000 people was April 29, 2006, with Elon defeating Georgia Southern 7-6.
