Narashino

Keisei Tsudanuma Station (京成津田沼駅, Keisei Tsudanuma-eki) is a junction passenger railway station in the city of Narashino, Chiba Prefecture, Japan, operated by the private railway operator Keisei Electric Railway.

Tsudanuma (津田沼) is a district of Narashino City, Chiba Prefecture, Japan, consisting of 1-chōme to 7-chōme. The name “Tsudanuma” is also used to refer to the area around Tsudanuma Station ranging over Narashino and Funabashi cities.

Chiba Institute of Technology (千葉工業大学, Chiba kōgyō daigaku) is a private university in Narashino, Chiba, Japan. Abbreviated as Chiba kōdai (千葉工大, Chiba kōdai), Chiba kō (千葉工, Chiba kō), kōdai (工大, kōdai), sen kōdai (千工大, sen kōdai). The school was founded in 1942 in Machida, Tokyo. In 1946 it was relocated to Kimitsu, Chiba, adopted the present name at the same time. Four years later, it was moved to the present location. It is the oldest private technical university in Japan.CIT was conceived as a central educational institution of Greater East Asia Co-Prosperity Sphere. During the Second World War, the professor at CIT was involved in the development of Nakajima Kikka． In July 2023, Joichi Ito was named the 14th President.In August 2023, Chiba Institute of Technology is listed as participating in the Japan-U.S. Research Collaboration Week.In September 2023, the President's Message was released and outlined three key points for the future of the University including the need to elevate IT engineers in society, the importance of applying acquired knowledge and technical skills to the real world, and the need to form a deep connection with society through project-based learning.

Ōnomatsu stable (阿武松部屋, Ōnomatsu-beya) is a stable of sumo wrestlers, one of the Nishonoseki ichimon or group of stables. It was founded in its modern form on 1 October 1994 by Masurao Hiroo, who branched off from the now defunct Oshiogawa stable. As of January 2023, the stable had 13 wrestlers. The stable first wrestler to reach the top makuuchi division was Katayama in 2005. The now retired Wakakōyū reached komusubi in 2012, as did Ōnoshō in 2017. The stable's most successful foreign recruit has been the Russian former maegashira Amūru, who retired in 2018. In January 2010 the stable, along with the Takanohana, Ōtake and Magaki stable, was forced to leave the Nishonoseki ichimon after former yokozuna Takanohana declared his intention to run as an unofficial candidate in the elections to the Sumo Association's board of directors. The ejected stables formed their own group, which gained ichimon status of its own in 2014. This was dissolved in 2018, with the Ōnomatsu, Ōtake and Chiganoura stables briefly forming Ōnomatsu ichimon before aligning themselves once again with the Nishonoseki group. Masurao resigned from the Japan Sumo Association for health reasons on 26 September 2019 and was replaced by the former maegashira Daidō. On 26 December, the Japan Sumo Association announced the stable recruited Batjargal Choijirsuren, a Mongolian-born Student Yokozuna, and allowed him to use the makushita tsukedashi system and enter his first official tournament at the rank of makushita 15. Now wrestling under the shikona of Ōnokatsu, he made his competitive debut at the November 2023 tournament.

Makuhari-nishi (幕張西) is a district of Mihama Ward, Chiba City, Chiba Prefecture, Japan, consisting of 1-chōme to 6-chōme. The district entirely consists of reclaimed land from Tokyo Bay. In 1-chōme to 4-chōme the newer Jūkyo-hyōji (住居表示) style is adopted, while in 5-chōme and 6-chōme the older chiban (地番) style is adopted.
