Makuhari-nishi

Ōnomatsu stable (阿武松部屋, Ōnomatsu-beya) is a stable of sumo wrestlers, one of the Nishonoseki ichimon or group of stables. It was founded in its modern form on 1 October 1994 by Masurao Hiroo, who branched off from the now defunct Oshiogawa stable. As of January 2023, the stable had 13 wrestlers. The stable first wrestler to reach the top makuuchi division was Katayama in 2005. The now retired Wakakōyū reached komusubi in 2012, as did Ōnoshō in 2017. The stable's most successful foreign recruit has been the Russian former maegashira Amūru, who retired in 2018. In January 2010 the stable, along with the Takanohana, Ōtake and Magaki stable, was forced to leave the Nishonoseki ichimon after former yokozuna Takanohana declared his intention to run as an unofficial candidate in the elections to the Sumo Association's board of directors. The ejected stables formed their own group, which gained ichimon status of its own in 2014. This was dissolved in 2018, with the Ōnomatsu, Ōtake and Chiganoura stables briefly forming Ōnomatsu ichimon before aligning themselves once again with the Nishonoseki group. Masurao resigned from the Japan Sumo Association for health reasons on 26 September 2019 and was replaced by the former maegashira Daidō. On 26 December, the Japan Sumo Association announced the stable recruited Batjargal Choijirsuren, a Mongolian-born Student Yokozuna, and allowed him to use the makushita tsukedashi system and enter his first official tournament at the rank of makushita 15. Now wrestling under the shikona of Ōnokatsu, he made his competitive debut at the November 2023 tournament.

The university was founded in 1987 as an extension of Kanda Institute of Foreign Languages in Tokyo. KUIS is a research university specializing in learner autonomy. It is one of the top universities in Japan for international studies. In the 2011 academic year 3,682 undergraduates were enrolled; in the 2006 academic year, 30 postgraduates were enrolled.

Makuhari Junior and Senior High School (渋谷教育学園幕張中学校・高等学校, Shibuya Kyōiku Gakuen Makuhari Chūgakkō Kōtōgakkō) is a Japanese private secondary school in the Makuhari area, in Mihama-ku, Chiba City, Chiba Prefecture. It is operated by the Shibuya Kyouiku Gakuen (渋谷教育学園, Shibuya Kyōiku Gakuen). In terms of the number of students accepted by top national universities, the school is now ranked among the top 5 high schools in Japan.

The Tokyo Auto Salon (東京オートサロン, Tokyo Ōto Saron)(formerly known as the Tokyo Exciting Auto Show) is an annual auto show held in January at the Makuhari Messe, Chiba City, Japan for Performance and custom aftermarket parts and technology displays. Hosted by the Nippon Auto Parts Aftermarket Committee (NAPAC), the Tokyo Auto Salon is one of the top motor shows globally for modified and tuned cars. The 2019 Tokyo Auto Salon featured 906 vehicles, 426 exhibitors, and 4,175 booths that offered aftermarket accessories for purchase. There are also after-market parts manufacturers, custom shops, care manufacturers, automotive businesses, and automotive vocational schools. There are not only custom cars and after-market manufacturers, there is also live entertainment. Top musicians from around the world and talk shows hosting famous drivers and celebrities can be seen at the Tokyo Auto Salon. One of the more popular forms of entertainment are the "booth babes" who are popular among the spectators and photographers alike. "Booth babes" tend to have a following of fans from various other auto shows throughout the year. The Tokyo Auto Salon started in 1983 with the name Tokyo Exciting Auto Show. Starting in 1987, the name of the Tokyo Exciting Auto Show changed to Tokyo Auto Saloon. The exhibition takes place every year in January. On the opening Friday, entry to the exhibition is permitted from 9 am to 7 pm. On Saturday, the show is open to the public from 9 am to 7 pm, and on Sunday from 9 am to 6 pm. The main organizer for the Tokyo Auto Salon is the Tokyo Auto Salon Association (TASA). The main promoter of the Tokyo Auto Salon is Tokyo Auto Salon Committee. The affiliate co-promoter is NAPAC. The Chiba Prefecture government, Chiba City government, Avex Entertainment Inc., San-Eisyobo Publishing Co., Ltd., Idea Inc., and the Option-Land Global Communications Association are all affiliate sponsors and supporting organizations.

The Japan Mobility Show (ジャパンモビリティショー) (TMS) is a biennial auto show held in October–November at the Tokyo Big Sight, Tokyo, Japan for cars, motorcycles and commercial vehicles. Hosted by the Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association (JAMA), it is a recognized international show by the Organisation Internationale des Constructeurs d'Automobiles, and normally sees more concept cars than actual production car introductions which is the reason why the auto press see the show as one of the motorshow's big five (along with Detroit, Geneva, Frankfurt and Paris). For the first time in its 67-year history, the Tokyo Motor Show was cancelled for 2021 due to rising cases of COVID-19. Until 2019, it was the Tokyo Motor Show (東京モーターショー).

Makuhari Messe (幕張メッセ) is a Japanese convention center outside Tokyo, located in the Mihama-ku ward of Chiba City, in the northwest corner of Chiba Prefecture. Designed by Fumihiko Maki, it is accessible by Tokyo's commuter rail system. Makuhari is the name of the area, and Messe is a German language word meaning "trade fair". The convention center opened on 9 October 1989. It hosts many high-technology events. Makuhari Messe is close to Tokyo Disney Resort in Urayasu, and to Chiba prefecture's black sand beaches. It is accessible from Kaihimmakuhari station on the Keiyō Line of East Japan Railway Company (JR East). The center is the host of the annual Tokyo Auto Salon (modified car show, in January), the biennial Tokyo Motor Show (in October), the annual Tokyo Game Show (video game hardware and software exhibition, in September), the annual Jump Festa (manga, anime, and video game exposition, in December), and the biannual Wonder Festival (toys, scale figures, and garage kits exposition, in February and July). The venue was host to several Nintendo Space World events. It was the venue for several sports during the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Kaihimmakuhari Station (海浜幕張駅, Kaihin-makuhari-eki) is a passenger railway station located in Mihama-ku, Chiba city, Chiba Prefecture, Japan, operated by the East Japan Railway Company (JR East).
