Riddells Creek railway station is located on the Deniliquin line in Victoria, Australia. It serves the town of Riddells Creek, and it opened on 8 July 1861. It was renamed Riddell on 9 May 1904, and was renamed Riddells Creek on 12 October 1976.

It was renamed Lancefield Junction in 1881, renamed Clarkfield on 11 January 1926, and renamed Clarkefield on 23 February 1926.

Clarkefield () is a town in Victoria, Australia, 41 kilometres (25 mi) north-west of Melbourne's Central Business District, located within the City of Hume and the Shire of Macedon Ranges local government areas. Clarkefield recorded a population of 303 at the 2021 census.Clarkefield was occupied as pastoral run, and it was named after the pastoralist, Sir William Clarke. The Clarkefield hotel and stables were established in 1857 and are now listed as heritage properties. The first school opened here in 1890.The Post Office opened on 1 January 1862 and was known as Lancefield Road until 1881, Lancefield Junction until 1926 and closed in 1982.

Bolinda is a locality north of Melbourne, Australia on the Melbourne-Lancefield Road. It is 6 km. south of Romsey, within the Shire of Macedon Ranges. John Brock, one of the first British settlers in the Bolinda district, named his station Bullando Vale. However, it is not clear whether this is connected in any way to the present name. Rupert Clarke owned a property named Bolinda Vale, near Romsey which had been in his family, as squatters, from 1860 or earlier.Bolinda Post Office opened on 12 June 1879 and closed in 1980.The community today is centred on the primary school (established 1870), community hall and recreation reserve. Bolinda was an intermediate stopping point on the Clarkefield-Lancefield railway which operated between 1881 and 1956.

Kerrie is a locality in the Macedon Ranges region of Victoria, Australia, featuring a town hall (1934) and the closed Kerrie State School (c. 1877). The school was closed in 1991, but was an important venue for community meetings and events until it was damaged by fire on the 16th October 2021. The buildings and grounds are heritage listed and underwent external restoration during 2009–2010. Nearby is the Hall, and the former tennis courts, which are now overgrown and in a state of disrepair. The Kerrie Valley is the source of domestic water for the nearby town of Romsey. The catchment reservoir consists of a dam on a tributary of the Bolinda Creek. Kerrie Post Office opened on 10 July 1891 and closed in 1949.

New Gisborne is a suburb of Gisborne in Victoria, Australia, in the foothills of Mount Macedon in the Shire of Macedon Ranges. The Gisborne railway station on the Bendigo line is located in New Gisborne, and a bus service connects residents of the two towns between the railway station and the Gisborne town centre. At the 2011 census, New Gisborne had a population of 2,380.New Gisborne is serviced by a variety of community facilities, including a swim centre, netball courts and medical centre. The Baringo Food and Wine Co. is located in New Gisborne and operates a cafe and bistro, with plans for an arthouse cinema to open in 2015. There are a number of preschools and primary schools in the area including The Gisborne Montessori School, Holy Cross Primary School and New Gisborne Primary School. The New Gisborne post office opened on 1 September 1861, but closed down on 27 June 1994.

Emu Bottom Homestead is a historic homestead near Sunbury, Victoria, Australia. Built c. 1836, Emu Bottom is the oldest existing farmhouse constructed by settlers in Victoria. It was so named because "it was low lying ground and the haunt of numerous emus." The main homestead and some of its outlying buildings were constructed from "local stone, dry coursed with creek mud."Emu Bottom is also a rare example of early Australian colonial architecture, with its "twelve paned deeply recessed windows ... recalling the old world ... while the homestead (was) also intelligently adapted to the new environment" with its wide verandas and easterly aspect.

Cherokee is a locality situated in the Macedon Ranges Shire, in Victoria, Australia 73 kilometres (45 mi) north of the state capital, Melbourne. The settlement as it appears today was created by land subdivision around 1880–1881, although the area was occupied by Europeans before this date. Timber mills and a school were operating by 1865, possibly earlier, in response to the demand for timber created by the Victorian gold rush.Cherokee Post Office opened on 1 July 1927 and closed in 1955.

It is the largest town in the Macedon Ranges Shire, with a population of 14,432 as of June 2021 in the Gisborne district region.Gisborne is known for its country homesteads, tree-lined streets, restaurants and cafes. The town has become a popular 'tree change' destination for Melbourne residents seeking large leafy blocks and a quiet lifestyle within easy commuting distance from the city. As such, the town has grown substantially over the past 5–10 years, with an increase of almost 2,600 residents since 2011, although planning controls have been implemented to protect the character and "outstanding natural beauty" of the region.

The Electoral district of Gisborne was an electoral district of the Victorian Legislative Assembly. It was created in 1967 and abolished in 2002.A notable member was Athol Guy, of the folk/pop group The Seekers.
