Westpoort

The name Hembrug refers to various geographic entities in the municipality of Zaanstad, in the Netherlands.

The Amsterdam Heliport (Dutch: Amsterdam Helihaven) (ICAO: EHHA) is a small modern heliport located in the north west of Amsterdam, the Netherlands, in a harbour area known as the Westpoort. It provides parking space outside for four helicopters and hangar space for another three. The heliport was opened in 2005, aiming mainly at VIP transport and airwork. The main user of the heliport is Heli Holland.

Millennium Tower is a 97.5 metres (320 ft), 24 storey office building in Amsterdam constructed from 2002 and completed in 2004.

Slotermeer is a neighborhood of Amsterdam, Netherlands. It is divided in Slotermeer Northeast and Slotermeer Southwest. The center of Slotermeer is located in the area surrounding Plein '40-'45.

Amsterdam Sloterdijk is a major railway junction to the west of Amsterdam Centraal station. It is at a rail-rail crossing, with an additional chord (Hemboog). It is on the railway line from Amsterdam Centraal to Haarlem and the last station before the junction where the line Amsterdam Centraal-Zaandam diverges from it and on the crossing west branch of the Amsterdam-Schiphol railway line between Schiphol and Amsterdam Centraal. The Hemboog chord connects the crossing lines, providing a direct connection between Schiphol and Zaandam. There are platforms at both crossing lines and at the Hemboog; for the latter there is a separate entrance on another side of the station square. There are two lines of the Amsterdam Metro that stop here.

Teleport is a neighborhood of Amsterdam, Netherlands in the urban district of Westpoort. Teleport was founded in the eighties of the twentieth century as an office location with the designation of "Telematics." Therefore, it has specific facilities in that area. The neighborhood has connections by road through the A10 motorway, railway lines, buses and underground (the Amsterdam Sloterdijk railway station). The borders of the neighborhood are to the West the Seineweg, to the North The Basisweg, to the East the A10 motorway and to the South the N200 highway (the Haarlemmerweg). At this moment around 20,000 are working in the area; in the future it would be around 35,000. The city of Amsterdam has made plans to realize this by designing a new tram and bus station at the Carrascoplein. Other plans include a large plaza around the train station and the development of other types of centers such as schools, cultural and sports facilities, hotels and shops. The street names in the area are derived mostly from international airports around the world: Orlyplein, Naritaweg, Kimpoweg. The office buildings Millennium Tower, Crystal Tower, La Guardia Plaza and the building of the Belastingdienst (Tax and Customs Administration) are among the highest buildings in the city of Amsterdam.

ADM was a squat in the Port of Amsterdam, to the west of the city next to the North Sea Canal. The squat lasted from 1997 until its eviction in early 2019. Around 130 people lived on the terrain of 45 hectares in buildings, on boats and in vehicles.

Zaanstad (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈzaːnstɑt] ) is a Dutch municipality in the province of North Holland, situated northwest of Amsterdam. Its main city is Zaandam. It is part of the conurbation and metropolitan area of Amsterdam. It had a population of 156,901 in 2021.

Zaandam (Dutch pronunciation: [zaːnˈdɑm] (listen)) is a city in the province of North Holland, Netherlands. It is the main city of the municipality of Zaanstad, and received city rights in 1811. It is located on the river Zaan, just north of Amsterdam. The statistical district Zaandam, which covers the city and the surrounding countryside, has a population of around 76,804. Zaandam was a separate municipality until 1974, when it became a part of the new municipality of Zaanstad.

Geuzenveld (garden city) is a neighborhood of Amsterdam, Netherlands.

Geuzenveld-Slotermeer is a neighborhood and former borough (stadsdeel) comprising some of the most western parts of the city of Amsterdam, Netherlands. As a borough it existed from 1990 till 2010, when it merged with the boroughs Osdorp and Slotervaart to form the new borough Amsterdam Nieuw-West. Isolatorweg metro station is the terminus of the Amsterdam metro 50 (Ringlijn) and opened on 28 May 1997. From 3 March 2019 this is also the terminus of the Amsterdam metro 51. The station is a railway embankment near the Isolatorweg on an industrial estate close to an electric generating station in the western harbour area of Amsterdam. Since there are no nearby residential areas, the station attracts relatively few visitors. The station has an island platform in the middle of a central access. Isolatorweg is the third metro station in Amsterdam that does not have an escalator. The station takes its name from the Isolatorweg street, which itself refers to the electrical isolator. Other street names in the area include Generatorstraat, Elektronstraat, and Magneetstraat.
