Monkerton is a proposed railway station in the hamlet of Monkerton, in Exeter, Devon, England, and is proposed as part of the "Devon Metro" plans. It would be built at a later date than the other proposed stations and is planned to be located between Polsloe Bridge and Digby & Sowton stations.

Digby was a hamlet on the eastern edge of the city of Exeter in Devon, England, located by Clyst Heath. Between 1886 and 1987 it was the location of Exeter Lunatic Asylum, later known as Digby Hospital. Today it is mainly an area of housing, out-of-town retail and light industrial developments on the outskirts of the city, served by Digby and Sowton railway station.

Today Clyst Heath is a suburb to the south east of the city of Exeter, Devon, England. An area of relatively high ground to the west of the River Clyst, it remained heathland until the early nineteenth century when it was cultivated for the first time.Two notable battles took place on the heath, in 1455 and 1549. The 1:25000 Ordnance Survey map shows the conventional symbol for both battles at grid reference SX965912, just north of Sandy Park rugby stadium.

It was founded as the Whipton Isolation Hospital in 1913 as a pulmonary tuberculosis sanatorium as part of a network of such facilities, instigated by the Public Health (Tuberculosis Regulations) 1912.The hospital now offers satellite services for a number of local healthcare organisations including the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust and the Devon Partnership NHS Trust.

St Luke's Church of England School is a co-educational secondary school located in Exeter in the English county of Devon. It is a Church of England school under the jurisdiction of the Diocese of Exeter. It was originally known as St Luke's Church of England High School, but when the school gained specialisms in science and sports it was renamed St Luke's Science and Sports College. In February 2020 St Luke's Science and Sports College converted from being a voluntary controlled school administered by Devon County Council to being an academy sponsored by The Ted Wragg Multi Academy Trust. Whipton Barton was an estate farm to the East of Exeter. The 'Barton' suffix is the traditional Devon wording for the manor house, and indicates a demesne in the feudal system. Whilst the house and farm no longer exist, they have given their name to an area of Exeter.

It has a working farm, with grazing animals, as well as arable fields, in addition to wildflower meadows, woodland, and orchards.The park is located either side of Ludwell Lane, and extends as far as the Topsham Road to the South West.
