Tikuji-Ni-Wadi is an amusement park, water park, and a resort near Mumbai and at Thane. The amusement park includes go-karts, roller coasters, giant wheels and water park. Additionally, there is a Shiva temple and marriage halls as a part of the resort. During Shivaratri, a Shiva ice replica is made. The park remains open during the rainy season. In 2013, a realistic-looking dinosaur park was started. The park, spread over 20 acres (8.1 ha) of land, is popular for greenery and a "UFO ride". There are several other activities and attractions such as go-karting, bumper-boats, dinosaur world, 9D adventure, aquarium and farm.

Smt. Sulochanadevi Singhania School is a private co-educational LKG-15 dayschool in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, built by Gopal Krishna Singhania and named after his wife. The school started operating in 1969 and has expanded from 400 students then to more than 6500 now, under principals Dr S.R.N. Rao, Dr M.D. Jani, Dr Vijayam Ravi and Mrs Revathi Srinivasan. Vrindavan Society is the largest residential complex in Thane, Maharashtra, India, developed by a venture of Mittal and Raheja Developers. The first building in this 100+ apartment building complex was constructed in 1984 and the project was completed in the early 90s. Upvan (or Upavan) Lake is located in Thane in the Indian state of Maharashtra. It is known for hosting the Sanskruti Arts Festival. Here one can also view thousands of Ganpati idols which are brought here for immersion on final day of Ganeshotsav. It was founded and reconstructed by J.K. Singhania for water supply. Singhania also constructed the lord Ganesha's temple at Upvan lake. The lake is located near Gawand Baug, Shivai Nagar, Ganesh Nagar, Vasant Vihar and Vartak nagar. This is one of the recreational areas for people who live in Thane. It is one of the biggest lakes in Thane, surrounded by Yeoor Hills, and lies in the Pokhran-II area. One of the eco friendly lake of city, Upvan Lake is regarded as Thane's ‘lover's paradise’. Upvan lake forms a junction of the Pokhran I and Pokhran II roads. Once, the major source of water for the entire Thane city, Upvan lake is now used primarily for recreation. The official residence of the Mayor of Thane Municipal Corporation lies adjacent to the lake.Upvan was decorated during Sanskruti Arts Festival 2015. Over 50,000 people visit the lake during the festival.

Holy Cross Convent High School & junior college is an all-girls school located in K'Villa, Thane, Maharashtra, India. It was founded in 1964 and celebrated its Golden Jubilee in 2014.
