Croft Ambrey

Leinthall Earls or Leinthall Earles is a village in Aymestrey civil parish, Herefordshire, England.

Croft Castle is a country house in the village of Croft, Herefordshire, England. Owned by the Croft family since 1085, the castle and estate passed out of their hands in the 18th century, before being repurchased by the family in 1923. In 1957 it was bequeathed to the National Trust. The castle is a Grade I listed building, and the estate is separately listed as Grade II*. The adjacent Church of St Michael is listed Grade I.

On 1 April 1987 the parish was abolished and merged with Yarpole to form "Croft & Yarpole".Croft Castle was built in the 14th century and was the seat of the Croft family.

In 1870–72 the township had a population of 214.The hamlet is located at 52°17′58″N 02°49′54″W, about 8 miles (13 km) north-west of Leominster and 12 miles (19 km) south-west of Ludlow. It is just off the A4110 road.

Gatley Park is an English 17th-century park and country house lying near Leinthall Earls, Herefordshire. Both the park and the house are separately listed, the park as Grade II and the house as a Grade II* listed building.

Lucton School, is an independent, co-educational, day and boarding school in Lucton near Leominster, Herefordshire, England. It was founded in 1708 as a boys' school and began admitting girls in the 1970s. It currently has c.350 pupils on roll, aged from six months to 18 years. The Aymestrey burial was a beaker cist at Aymestrey, Herefordshire, England. The remains and objects are now in a recreated cist, at Leominster Museum.

The common, owned by the National Trust, is adjacent at the west to Croft Castle, a further National Trust Property. Croft Ambrey, an Iron Age hill fort, is to the north-west within the border of the neighbouring parish of Aymestrey.
