Malá Úpa (German: Kleinaupa) is a municipality in Trutnov District in the Hradec Králové Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 200 inhabitants.

Okraj (el. 1,046 m or 3,432 ft) is a mountain pass in Poland and the Czech Republic, on the eastern end of Karkonosze, separating two side ranges of the mountains. Former checkpoint, dismounted in 2007 after the implementation of the Schengen Agreement.There are Polish and Czech mountain huts as well as some hotels and restaurants on the Czech side, belonging to the village of Malá Úpa. The pass is accessible with the tarmac road from both sides. The road, connecting Jelenia Góra and Trutnov was built by Germans in 1937; the next year it was used to invade Czechoslovakia. Hiking and mountain bike trails connect this place to towns and villages in valleys; bus connection also is available.

Niedamirów [ɲɛdaˈmiruf] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Lubawka, within Kamienna Góra County, Lower Silesian Voivodeship, in south-western Poland, near the border with the Czech Republic. It lies approximately 9 kilometres (6 mi) west of Lubawka, 18 km (11 mi) south-west of Kamienna Góra, and 94 km (58 mi) south-west of the regional capital Wrocław.

Czarna Kopa (Czech Svorová hora, 1407 m a.s.l., German: Schwarze Koppe) is a mountain peak situated in the eastern part of Karkonosze on Polish and Czech border within the Karkonosze National Park on the Polish–Czech Friendship Trail. The peak area is exposed and windy.

Krzaczyna [kʂaˈt͡ʂɨna] is a neighbourhood of Kowary, Poland, located in the western part of the town.

Horní Maršov (German: Marschendorf) is a municipality and village in Trutnov District in the Hradec Králové Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 900 inhabitants. It lies in the Giant Mountains.

The town is famed for its sanatoriums and a miniature park displaying architectural monuments of the Lower Silesian region.

Ogorzelec [ɔɡɔˈʐɛlɛt͡s] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Kamienna Góra, within Kamienna Góra County, Lower Silesian Voivodeship, in south-western Poland. It lies approximately 13 kilometres (8 mi) south-west of Kamienna Góra and 91 km (57 mi) south-west of the regional capital Wrocław. In the years 1975-1998 the village was a region of Jelenia Góra.

Ścięgny [ˈɕt͡ɕɛɡnɨ] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Podgórzyn, within Jelenia Góra County, Lower Silesian Voivodeship, in south-western Poland.It lies approximately 13 km (8 mi) south of Jelenia Góra, and 97 km (60 mi) south-west of the regional capital Wrocław. The village was first mentioned in a document of the Wrocław cathedral chapter from 1305, when it was part of fragmented Piast-ruled Poland.There is a memorial to Wacław Koler, 16th-century philologist and physician, one of the pioneers of Polish Hellenic studies and one of Poland's first numismatists, who was born in the village.

Sněžka or Śnieżka (in Czech and Polish respectively; German: Schneekoppe, Slovak: Snežka) is a mountain on the border between the Czech Republic and Poland, the most prominent point of the Silesian Ridge in the Giant Mountains. At 1,603.3 metres (5,260 ft), its summit is the highest point in the Czech Republic, in Lower Silesian Voivodeship, in the Giant Mountains and in the entire Sudetes.

Karpacz (Polish: [ˈkarpat͡ʂ] , German: Krummhübel) is a spa town and ski resort in Jelenia Góra County, Lower Silesian Voivodeship, south-western Poland, and one of the most important centres for mountain hiking and skiing, including ski jumping. Its population is about 4,500. Karpacz is situated in the Karkonosze Mountains – a resort with increasing importance for tourism as an alternative to the Alps.Karpacz is located at 480 to 885 metres (1,575–2,904 ft) above sea level. South of Karpacz on the border to the Czech Republic there is Mount Sněžka-Śnieżka (1,602 m (5,256 ft)). Since 2020, the town has been hosting the annual international Economic Forum.

The Western Sudetes (Polish: Sudety Zachodnie; Czech: Krkonošská oblast; German: Westsudeten) are a geomorphological macroregion, the western part of the Sudetes subprovince on the borders of the Czech Republic, Poland and Germany.
