Frankfurter Tor (Berlin U-Bahn)

It is situated in the centre of the district, at the intersection of Karl-Marx-Allee and Frankfurter Allee (the eastbound federal highways No. 1 and No. 5) with the Warschauer Straße and Petersburger Straße ring road (federal highway No. 96a). The Frankfurter Tor station, on the city's U-Bahn line , is located under the square.

Friedrichshain (German pronunciation: [ˈfʁiːdʁɪçsˌhaɪn] (listen)) is a quarter (Ortsteil) of the borough of Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg in Berlin, Germany. From its creation in 1920 until 2001, it was a freestanding city borough. Formerly part of East Berlin, it is adjacent to Mitte, Prenzlauer Berg, Kreuzberg and Lichtenberg. Friedrichshain is named after the Volkspark Friedrichshain, a vast green park at the northern border with Prenzlauer Berg. In the Nazi era, the borough was called Horst-Wessel-Stadt. Friedrichshain is one of the trendy districts of Berlin and has experienced gentrification.

Bersarinplatz is a square in Friedrichshain, Berlin. On 4 April 1895 the square was named Baltenplatz, after the Balts. However, on 31 July 1947, after World War II, the square was renamed Bersarinplatz after Nikolai Berzarin, the Russian Red Army General and former Commander of Berlin.

Weberwiese is a Berlin U-Bahn station located on the line, which currently runs from Berlin Central Station to Hönow. The station is located under Karl-Marx-Allee directly east of Straße der Pariser Kommune. Although the next station on the line is called Frankfurter Tor, the historical city gate Frankfurter Tor actually stood at the location of the Weberwiese station. Several of the stations on this line have been recently redeveloped and are now colour-coded. In 2003, Weberwiese station was renovated and now has a very different appearance, with yellow tiles in contrast to its former white ones.

The Hochhaus an der Weberwiese (literally "high house on the weaver's meadow") is a residential building in Berlin, located in the district of Friedrichshain. Rigaer Straße is a street in Friedrichshain, Berlin that runs from Bersarinplatz in the west to the railway station Frankfurter Allee in the east. The street is named after the Latvian capital Riga. Many of the houses on the street are protected as historic buildings, although some of the older houses have turned into squats. Famous residents of Rigaer Straße include German author Theodor Plievier, who, around 1924, lived at number 68.

Warschauer Straße station is an S-Bahn and U-Bahn station on Warschauer Straße on the northern bank of the river Spree in the Friedrichshain neighborhood of Berlin, Germany. Edge East Side Tower is a 36-storey, 142 metres (466 ft) skyscraper in the Friedrichshain district of Berlin, Germany. It is currently the tallest multistory building in the city, until the completion of the Estrel Tower. It was completed at the end of 2023 and was designed by Bjarke Ingels Group.

Warschauer Straße is the eastern terminus station of lines U1 and U3 of the Berlin U-Bahn.

Berghain (pronounced [bɛʁkhaɪn]) is a nightclub in Berlin, Germany. It is named after its location near the border between Kreuzberg and Friedrichshain in Berlin, and is a short walk from Berlin Ostbahnhof main line railway station. Founded in 2004 by friends Norbert Thormann and Michael Teufele, it has since become one of the world's most famous clubs, and has been called the "world capital of techno."

The Friedrichshain combined heat and power plant is also is located at Rüdersdorfer Straße in the district Berlin-Friedrichshain. Today the building is widely known as the location of the techno club Berghain. The conversion from cogeneration plant to nightclub took place in 2003/04 and was supervised by the design firm Studio Karhard – led by architects Alexandra Erhard and Thomas Karsten.
