Shiroyama Dam

Shiroyama (城山町, Shiroyama-chō) was a town located in Tsukui District, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. As of March 1, 2007, final population data before the amalgamation, the town had an estimated population of 23,040 and a density of 1157.8 persons per km2. The total area was 19.90 km2. On March 11, 2007, Shiroyama, along with the town of Fujino (also from Tsukui District), was merged into the expanded city of Sagamihara, and thus no longer exists as an independent municipality. It is now part of Midori-ku. The merger was controversial, and the mayor of Shiroyama was recalled for his opposition to the merger.

Tsukuiko Shiroyama park (Japanese:県立津久井湖城山公園) is located in Kanagawa Prefecture in Japan. The park has an area of about 47.5 ha.The park includes an exhibition hall and remnants of an old castle. Various wild birds are spotted in the park.

Tsukui (津久井町, Tsukui-machi) was a town located in Tsukui District, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan.On March 20, 2006, Tsukui, along with the town of Sagamiko (also from Tsukui District), was merged into the expanded city of Sagamihara, and thus no longer exists as an independent municipality. It is now part of Midori-ku, Sagamihara. As of March 1, 2006, final population data before the amalgamation, the town had an estimated population of 28,551 and a density of 233.9 persons per km2. The total area was 122.04 km2.

Meiji no Mori Takao Quasi-National Park (明治の森高尾国定公園, Meiji no Mori Takao Kokutei Kōen) is located around Mount Takao in Hachiōji, Tokyo, Japan. Established in 1967 to commemorate the centennial celebrations of the accession of Emperor Meiji, it is the smallest of the Quasi-National Parks. Next in size is the coeval Meiji no Mori Minō Quasi-National Park in Ōsaka Prefecture, to which the park is connected by the Tōkai Nature Trail.Mount Takao, rising to 599 m above sea level, is a massif of low mountains formed in the Mesozoic era. The area is dense with pristine forests of momi fir, Japanese red pine, and Japanese beech, protected as part of the grounds of the Takaosan Yakuōin Temple (高尾山薬王院). The area is a celebrated habitat of a wide variety of birds and insects.

Takaosanguchi Station (高尾山口駅, Takaosanguchi-eki)is a passenger railway station located in the city of Hachiōji, Tokyo, Japan, operated by the private railway operator Keio Corporation. It is the main point of railway access to Mount Takao.

Tokyo Zokei University (東京造形大学, Tōkyō zōkei daigaku) is a private university in Hachioji, Tokyo, Japan, founded in 1966 by Japanese art educator, fashion designer and design journalist, Yoko Kuwasawa (1910-1977). It is a four-year art college offering both bachelor's and master's degrees in studio arts. In 2016 a Doctoral (Ph.D.) program was established in Design Education and Research. The campus is situated in woodland within walking distance of Aihara Station on the JR Yokohama Line, but a university bus runs between station and campus.

Miyagase Fuku Dam (Japanese: 石小屋ダム) is a gravity dam located in Kanagawa Prefecture in Japan. The dam is used for flood control, water supply and power production. The catchment area of the dam is 1.1 km2. The dam impounds about 4 ha of land when full and can store 557 thousand cubic meters of water. The construction of the dam was started on 1971 and completed in 2000.

Mount Takao (高尾山, Takao-san) is a mountain in the city of Hachiōji, Tokyo, Japan. It is protected within Meiji no Mori Takao Quasi-National Park. Standing 599 metres (1,965 ft) tall and located within an hour of downtown Tokyo, it is a popular hiking spot, with eight hiking trails and more than 2.5 million annual visitors. The Tama Forest Science Garden is also located at the mountain's base. Mount Takao is closely associated with the Shinto-Buddhist tengu, supernatural creatures from Japanese folklore. The mountain is also renowned for Shugendō, the mountain asceticism focusing on strict discipline. A Buddhist temple, Takaosan Yakuōin Yūkiji, is located on the mountain, and attracts many visitors who pray to the tengu for good fortune. The temple belongs to the Shingon Buddhist sect.

Takao Jinba Prefectural Natural Park (都立高尾陣場自然公園, Toritsu Takao Jinba shizen kōen) is a Prefectural Natural Park in Western Tokyo, Japan. The park was established in 1950.
