Takaosanguchi Station

Meiji no Mori Takao Quasi-National Park (明治の森高尾国定公園, Meiji no Mori Takao Kokutei Kōen) is located around Mount Takao in Hachiōji, Tokyo, Japan. Established in 1967 to commemorate the centennial celebrations of the accession of Emperor Meiji, it is the smallest of the Quasi-National Parks. Next in size is the coeval Meiji no Mori Minō Quasi-National Park in Ōsaka Prefecture, to which the park is connected by the Tōkai Nature Trail.Mount Takao, rising to 599 m above sea level, is a massif of low mountains formed in the Mesozoic era. The area is dense with pristine forests of momi fir, Japanese red pine, and Japanese beech, protected as part of the grounds of the Takaosan Yakuōin Temple (高尾山薬王院). The area is a celebrated habitat of a wide variety of birds and insects.

Takao Station (高尾駅, Takao-eki) is an interchange passenger railway station located in the city of Hachiōji, Tokyo, jointly operated by East Japan Railway Company (JR East) and the private railway operator Keio Corporation. The station opened in 1901 as Asakawa Station and was renamed Takao Station in 1961.

The Tama Forest Science Garden (多摩森林科学園, Tama Shinrin Kagakuen, 57 hectares), formerly the Asakawa Experiment Forest and sometimes also known as the Tama Botanical Park, is an arboretum located at the foot of Mount Takao, 1833-81 Todori, Hachiōji, Tokyo, Japan. It is open daily except Mondays; an admission fee is charged. The site was previously a battlefield where Hojo Ujiteru fought Takeda Shingen, then placed under custody of the Tokugawa shogunate. In 1921 it became an experimental station under the custody of the Forestry Management Division of the Ministry of Imperial Household. Today it is a branch laboratory of the Forestry and Forest Products Research Institute. The garden includes 13 hectares of natural forest which consists mainly of Abies firma and Pinus densiflora, and broad-leaf evergreens such as Quercus glauca and Castanopsis cuspidata var. sieboldii. It also contains an arboretum with about 1,000 kinds of domestic and foreign trees, including 2,000 cherry trees representing 250 cherry varieties.

Musashi Imperial Graveyard (武蔵陵墓地, Musashi ryōbochi) is a mausoleum complex of the Japanese Emperors in Nagabusa-machi, Hachiōji, Tokyo, Japan. Located within a forest in the western suburbs of Tokyo and named for the ancient Musashi Province, the site contains the mausolea of Emperor Taishō and Emperor Shōwa, as well as those of their wives, Empress Teimei and Empress Kōjun.

Ésforta Arena Hachiōji is an arena in Hachioji, Tokyo, Japan. It is the home arena of the Tokyo Hachioji Bee Trains of the B.League, Japan's professional basketball league. The arena can also host boxing and futsal matches.

Hachioji Velodrome (八王子自転車競技場, Hachiōji Jitenshakyōgijō) was a temporary velodrome located in the Hachiōji, Tokyo area. Constructed between March and August 1964, it hosted the track cycling events for the 1964 Summer Olympics. The site of the velodrome was later converted to a public park called Ryonan Park.

Mount Takao (高尾山, Takao-san) is a mountain in the city of Hachiōji, Tokyo, Japan. It is protected within Meiji no Mori Takao Quasi-National Park. Standing 599 metres (1,965 ft) tall and located within an hour of downtown Tokyo, it is a popular hiking spot, with eight hiking trails and more than 2.5 million annual visitors. The Tama Forest Science Garden is also located at the mountain's base. Mount Takao is closely associated with the Shinto-Buddhist tengu, supernatural creatures from Japanese folklore. The mountain is also renowned for Shugendō, the mountain asceticism focusing on strict discipline. A Buddhist temple, Takaosan Yakuōin Yūkiji, is located on the mountain, and attracts many visitors who pray to the tengu for good fortune. The temple belongs to the Shingon Buddhist sect.

Hachiōji Castle (八王子城, Hachiōji-jō) was a Sengoku period Japanese castle, located in what is now the city of Hachiōji, Tokyo, in the Kantō region of Japan Its ruins have been protected as a National Historic Site since 1951, with the area under protection extended in 2005.It is called Hachioji because Hachioji Gongen a deity of the Gion faith. is enshrined there.
