North Falmouth is a census-designated place (CDP) in the town of Falmouth in Barnstable County, Massachusetts, United States. The population was 3,084 at the 2010 census.

The Elnathan Nye House is a historic house at 33 Old Main Road in North Falmouth, Massachusetts. The oldest portion of this 2+1⁄2-story house was built c. 1735; it was extended to its present five-bay facade in 1772. The interior of the house is particularly well preserved, with three extant beehive ovens, plaster-and-lath walls, and period wood paneling. The property's barn may also date to the 18th century. Elnathan Nye, the builder, was a prominent local citizen.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2002.

The North Falmouth Village Historic District encompasses the historic 19th-century village of North Falmouth, Massachusetts, which is a village in the town of Falmouth, Massachusetts. It is a linear district, extending along Old Main Road south from its junction with Massachusetts Route 28A to Winslow Road. This area gradually developed over the 19th century, principally in support of maritime activities centered on Buzzards Bay to the west. The district contains a cross-section of architectural styles popular from the early 19th to early 20th centuries. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1998.

Scraggy Neck is a peninsula in Buzzards Bay south of the Cape Cod Canal, in Cataumet, Massachusetts, USA. It is south of Wings Neck and southeast of Bassetts Island. As with all land in the area, the ancestral people on and around Scraggy Neck were Wampanoag. In 1637, through means that are not entirely clear, Thomas Dexter acquired the land that is now Scraggy Neck from the Wampanoag. Around 1667, he transferred the land to the Town of Sandwich and it became "parsonage property" of the First Church, Sandwich Massachusetts. On 9 February 1847 the "First Parish in Sandwich County of Barnstable" transferred title to Martin Ellis for $1,350.In 1866, Ellis offered the property for sale, advertising in the Yarmouth Register "Scraggy Neck for Sale." The ad copy declared "The estate lying in Pocasset (Sandwich)... consisting of 384 acres, principally woodland, cut off in 1846, but with pasture for cattle and sheep, and unrivalled privileges for shell and other fisheries. There are on the premises a dwelling house for a small family, a good barn, and other out-buildings. Also, a thrifty young orchard of apple, pear and quince trees. Making this a very desirable place for farming, sheep raising, or shore fishing. The present proprietor is obliged to give it up on account of ill health. Price $2,000. For further particulars apply to JOSHUA HANDY, near the premises. MARTIN ELLIS" On 3 March 1870, Joshua Handy, on behalf of Ellis, sold the land for $1,000 to Charles W. Parker and George P. Ellis. They subsequently, on 13 May 1870, sold to Washington Allen for $1,600.On 21 April 1892, through a series of transactions between Allen, Francis H. Learned, and Edith H. Eustis, William Ellery Channing ("W.E.C.") Eustis "bought the entire three-hundred-acre, flounder-shaped peninsula" and began developing property on the neck. The total purchase price of the land seems to have been $50,000.In 1937, Edward C. Johnson II and his wife Elsie L. Johnson bought a house on the neck and began a long family association with the area. The Johnson and Eustis families converted the central 75 acres of the island to a protected forest. Current residents of the neck are members of the Scraggy Neck Recreation Association

The Crowell–Bourne Farm is a historic 1775 farmhouse on West Falmouth Highway (Route 28A) in West Falmouth, Massachusetts. The farm has been owned and operated by Salt Pond Areas Bird Sanctuaries since 1979. The property has 49 acres of fields and woods with walking trails, and is open to the public. The Shining Sea Bikeway crosses the property on a paved former railroad bed. Of interest is an old cattle tunnel which was for herding livestock under the former railroad tracks. The farm was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980, and included in the West Falmouth Village Historic District in 1998.

Amrita Island is a small inhabited island in Squeteague Harbor in the village of Cataumet in the town of Bourne, in Barnstable County, Massachusetts. Several residential homes are located on the island. Baxendale Road is the only road and it connects the island to the mainland from Megansett Road.

Cataumet station is a former railroad station located on Post Office Square in Cataumet, Massachusetts.

Bassetts Island is a Y-shaped island within Pocasset Harbor and Red Brook Harbor, in Bourne, Massachusetts, USA. 41-40’48” North x 070-38’13” West Is located between two Peninsulas, Wings Neck to the North and Scraggy Neck to the South, and is geographically separated into four portions, the central, northeast, southeast, and the western. The island is approximately 60 acres of woodland, marshland and beach. The island is inhabited year round with one house on the western portion and five houses on the northeastern portion. There are no roads on the island, but with the exception of the southern portion, there is a minor path that runs throughout the island. The island can only be accessed via boat and has no utility services to the island. There are two channels, one on the North Side and one on the South side. The North channel provides access to Pocassett Harbor and the Barlow's Landing Boat Ramp. The South channel provides access to Red Brook Harbor, Kingman Yacht Club, Parker's Boat Yard, Hen Cove and the Hen Cove boat ramp, Hospital Cove and the Red Brook Herring Run. The South Channel be shallow and tight due to a large sand bar that extends from the Southern tip of the island. The Western side of the Southern tip provides great boat accessible swimming and a sandy beach. In contrast, the Eastern side of the Southern tip has rocky beach. Anchorage can be found on the North, East and West sides of the island, but the Westerly anchorage isn't as protected as the other two. During the summer months, the Easterly side of the island is a favorite among locals. The island's history dates back to the mid 1600s when it was owned by William Numuck, a Wampanoag, whom also owned most of Pocasset and Cataumet stretching from the Pocasset River to the Falmouth Town line and also included Numuck's Island (Auntchishogquechike Island).

The West Falmouth Village Historic District is a historic district along West Falmouth Highway (Massachusetts Route 28A) in West Falmouth, Massachusetts, which is a village in the town of Falmouth, Massachusetts. The northern end of the historic district is approximately at Bourne Farm, near Thomas Landers Road, extending south along Route 28A through West Falmouth Village to about Garrison Road.The area was settled in 1673 and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1998. Several of the historic buildings in West Falmouth Village are the West Falmouth Library, the Quaker Meeting House and Quaker Carriage Sheds, Emerson House, the West Falmouth Fire Station, and numerous historic houses. The Shining Sea Bikeway passes close to the center of West Falmouth Village, providing access to the beautiful Great Sippewissett Marsh to the south and the historic 1775 Bourne Farm and cranberry bogs to the north. Chapoquoit Beach, a Falmouth public beach, is also close to the center of West Falmouth Village.

There are several restaurants, markets, inns, real estate agents, and shops in West Falmouth, as well as a post office.

The Cataumet Schoolhouse is a historic school building at 1200 County Road in Bourne, Massachusetts. Built in 1894, it served the town as a schoolhouse until 1934, and then as a community center until 1960. It is a well-preserved example of a 19th-century one-room schoolhouse, and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2019.

The Wing's Neck Light is a historic lighthouse in the Pocasset village of Bourne, Massachusetts. It is located on Wing's Neck Road at the end of Wing's Neck, a peninsula between Pocasset Harbor and the Hog Island Channel, which provides access to the Cape Cod Canal. The first lighthouse was built in the site in 1849; it was a stone keeper's house with a wood-frame tower above, and was destroyed by fire in 1878.The present lighthouse and keeper's house were built in 1889; it is the only extant wood-frame light and keeper's house connected by a covered way from that period.The lighthouse was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1987.
