Šobec Campground is a campsite located 2 kilometers (1.2 mi) south of Highway E61 near Lesce, Slovenia. The campsite lies next to Šobec Pond (Slovene: Šobčev bajer), a small artificial lake created by impounding a few inflows below the upper river terrace, where the southern part of Lesce is located. The elevation of the pond is 421 meters (1,381 ft). Its area is 2.6 hectares (6.4 acres), and its deepest point is 3 meters (9.8 ft) The pond is elliptical, with its major axis extending in a north–south direction. The pond was named after the Šobec farm, which stands nearby.The campsite near the pond is in a pine forest next to the Sava Dolinka River. With an area of more than 15 hectares (37 acres), it is a higher-quality campsite. During the winter the campsite is closed, but it is nevertheless regularly visited by people from all over Europe because it is a popular starting point for hiking around the Upper Carniola region.

The Sava Bohinjka is a headwater of the Sava River in northwestern Slovenia. At 41 kilometres (25 mi) in length, it is the shorter of the two headwaters that become the Sava River in Radovljica, the other being the 45 km (28 mi)-long Sava Dolinka.

The Sava Dolinka is a headwater of the Sava River in northwestern Slovenia. The 45 kilometres (28 mi) long Sava Dolinka starts as Nadiža Creek in the Planica Valley under Mount Zadnja Ponca in the Julian Alps, at an elevation of 1222 m, close to the Italian border. Tributaries of the Sava Dolinka include the Triglav Bistrica at Mojstrana and the Radovna, which flows through the Vintgar Gorge near Bled.

It is one of the earliest-mentioned settlements in the region, first noted in a document from 1004 together with Bled and Bohinj. Lesce is the location of the Lesce–Bled Airfield and Šobec Campground. Lesce is also the home town of retired ski jumpers Vinko Bogataj and Franci Petek. Lesce was selected by MTV as the site for its annual Spring Break Jam in the spring of 2009.

The Municipality of Bled (pronounced [ˈbleːt]; Slovene: Občina Bled) is a municipality in northwestern Slovenia in the Upper Carniola region. The seat of the municipality is the town of Bled, located on the shores of Lake Bled. The area is a popular tourist destination. The Municipality of Bled was established in October 1994. It was greatly reduced in size with the establishment of the Municipality of Gorje in June 2006, because it has retained only 38% of its previous territory.
