The Dargah Qadam Sharif in Paharganj, Delhi consists of a small tomb complex, built in 1375-1376 CE, which also houses a mosque, a madrasa and a shrine ("dargah"), which is surrounded by a massive gated wall.

In 2013, the Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM) awarded 40 institutions for its contribution to quality education. ASSOCHAM awarded DAV College Managing Committee with 'Best Chain of Schools in India' award.

New Delhi railway station (station code: NDLS) is the main railway station in Delhi, situated between Ajmeri Gate and Paharganj. It is one of the busiest railway station in the country in terms of train frequency and passenger movement. Around 480 trains start, end, or pass through the station daily, which handled 500,000 passengers daily in 2013 with 16 platforms. The New Delhi railway station holds the record for the largest route interlocking system in the world along with the Kanpur Central railway station i.e. 48. The station is about two kilometres north of Connaught Place, in central Delhi. Most eastbound and southbound trains originate at New Delhi railway station; however, some important trains to other parts of the country also touch/originate at this station. Most pairs of Shatabdi Express originate and terminate at this station. It is also the main hub for the Rajdhani Express. New Delhi railway station is the highest-earning railway station in Indian Railways based on passenger revenue followed by Howrah Junction.

New Delhi is a station on the Yellow Line of the Delhi Metro. It is within walking distance from the Indian Railways New Delhi railway station. It is on the New Delhi Metro (Platform Number 16) side of the New Delhi Railway Station. The Airport Express also terminates at New Delhi Metro Station. Check-in facilities of some of the carriers including Air India are available at this station. A skywalk connecting the station with the New Delhi railway station was opened to the public in February 2022.

Madrasa Ghaziuddin Khan is a historical madrasa complex located by the Ajmeri Gate in Old Delhi, India. It was founded around the 18th century by Ghaziuddin Khan I, a leading noble of the Mughal empire. Following the discontinuation of its original function as a madrasa, it successively housed colonial-era educational institutions, such as Delhi College and the Anglo-Arabic school. Today, the Zakir Husain Delhi College operates in its premises, making the madrasa the oldest continuing educational centre in the city of Delhi. The structure is one of the few surviving historical madrasas in India, and one of even fewer madrasas dating back to the Mughal period. The complex also contains a mosque, and the tomb of Ghaziuddin Khan. The complex is an example of later Mughal architecture - it displays Central Asian inspiration in its format, and Shah Jahani elements in its scheme.

On February 15, 2025, a crowd crush killed at least 18 people and injured 15 others at the New Delhi railway station in New Delhi, India. The crush occurred after some passengers began to slip on a footbridge between platforms 14 and 15, causing a crushing pile of people to form in the already overcrowded station. Leading up to the incident, between 400–500 million Hindu worshipers had been traveling to the religious festival Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj, northern India, a festival which takes place every three years in one of four cities in the country. Overbooking tickets, train delays, and confusion between similar-sounding rail lines all led to the hazardous and crowded conditions which caused the crush. The youngest victim was a seven year old girl, and the oldest a 79 year old woman. According to The Hindu, the railway and public officials attempted to silence information about the casualties of the crush. Lieutenant Governor of Delhi Vinai Kumar Saxena is reported to have edited a post he made about the incident on X to remove any mentions of the deaths. The information was eventually released, and a ₹10 lakh ex gratia compensation fund was established for the families of the victims. A high-level investigation made up of a two-member committee was launched to determine the cause of the crush. New crowd control measures including special holding areas and operating manual updates were announced for sixty high-traffic stations following the incident.

The Jhandewalan Temple is a Hindu temple near Karol Bagh in Delhi, India dedicated to the goddess Aadi Shakti. It is among the oldest temple in Delhi and located on Jhandewala road.

The Anglo Arabic Senior Secondary School or more commonly, Anglo Arabic School, is a co-educational government aided school in New Delhi, India. The school is managed by Delhi Education Society. Prof. Najma Akhtar is the president of the School Managing Committee and Prof. Mohd Muslim Khan is the manager of the school. It was founded in 1696 by Ghazi ud-Din Khan Feroze Jung I.

Lady Hardinge Medical College is a medical college for women located in New Delhi, India. Established in 1916, it became part of the Faculty of Medical Sciences, University of Delhi in 1950. The college is funded by the Government of India.

G.B. Road, Garstin Bastion Road, (officially changed to Swami Shradhanand Marg in 1966) is a road running from Ajmeri Gate to Lahori Gate in Delhi, India. It is a large red-light district. It has several hundred multi-storey brothels and there are estimated to be over 1000 sex workers. It is lined with two or three-storey buildings that have shops on ground floor. About twenty of these buildings have about 100 brothels on the first floor that open at night after the shops at ground level close. It is the biggest red light area in Delhi.

Kalawati Saran Children's Hospital is a multi-specialty hospital in New Delhi that was founded and headed by Dr. Sheila Singh Paul, pioneer of the field of pediatrics in India. Kalawati Saran Children's Hospital is one of the biggest children hospitals in Asia and was Delhi's first independent children's hospital and not just a department. The hospital was inaugurated on 17 March 1956 by Lady Edwina Mountbatten, Countess Mountbatten of Burma. It was built from the proceeds of the property donated by Mr Raghubir Saran and Mr Raghunandan Saran of New Delhi and was named after the wife of late Mr Raghubir Saran. It has a separate department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation for which the initial electrical and electronic equipment was donated by the Government of the Soviet Union (USSR).
