Detroit River International Wildlife Refuge

Grassy Island is a small, uninhabited 72-acre (29 ha) American island in the Detroit River. It is located just north of Grosse Ile and west of Fighting Island, about 600 feet (180 m) west of the Canada–United States border. The island is part of the city of Wyandotte, in Wayne County. The island is part of the Detroit River International Wildlife Refuge. Grassy Island should not be confused with Grass Island, which is an island of Ontario on the exact opposite side of the Detroit River.Grassy Island was first charted by French explorers in 1796 as Ile Marecageuse (Marshy Island). At the time, the island's size was only six acres (2.4 ha), and the whole length of the Detroit River was a prominent coastal marshland. During the nineteenth century, the island was primarily used as a fishery and later was home to the Grassy Island Light. From around 1960–1982, the island served as a disposal facility for millions of cubic meters of toxic soil dredged from the nearby River Rouge, and the island's size was increased dramatically. Because of that, the island remains heavily contaminated today.

Fighting Island is a 610-hectare (1,500-acre) island in the Detroit River, and is the largest Canadian island in the river. It is part of the town of LaSalle, Ontario, Canada, opposite Wyandotte, Michigan, and downriver from Detroit and Windsor.

The Ford–Bacon House is located at 45 Vinewood in Wyandotte, Michigan. It was designated a Michigan State Historic Site in 1987 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1997. It is now used as the Bacon Memorial District Library.

The George P. MacNichol House, also known as the Ford-MacNichol House, is a house located at 2610 Biddle Avenue in Wyandotte, Michigan. It was designated a Michigan State Historic Site in 1973 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.The house is currently used as the main historic house museum of Wyandotte Museums. The Marx House is also owned by the Museums and used for art exhibits and community meeting space.

The Marx House is a private house at 2630 Biddle Avenue in Wyandotte, Michigan. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places and designated a Michigan State Historic Site in 1976. It is now used by the Wyandotte Historical Museum.

The First Congregational Church is a church building located at 98 Superior Boulevard in Wyandotte, Michigan. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2023.

The John and Emma Lacey Eberts House is a private house located at 109 Vinewood Avenue in Wyandotte, Michigan. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2009.

The Wyandotte Odd Fellows Temple is a community building located at 81 Chestnut Street in Wyandotte, Michigan. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2009. As of 2010, the building serves as the Wyandotte Arts Center.

The Ecorse River is an 18.8-mile-long (30.3 km) river in southern Michigan. Because of its small size, it is often identified as Ecorse Creek. It flows through the Downriver section of Metro Detroit, and is a tributary of the Detroit River. The early French settlers named it the Rivière aux Écorces ("bark river"). They named the river after the custom they observed of the local Native American tribe, who wrapped their dead in birch or elm bark, and buried them at the mouth of the river. The river has two branches, which meet at Council Point Park in the city of Lincoln Park, where chief Pontiac held a council in 1763 before attacking Fort Detroit.

Mud Island is an island in the Detroit River International Wildlife Refuge, in southeast Michigan. It is in Wayne County. Its coordinates are 42°14′20″N 83°08′27″W; the United States Geological Survey gave its elevation as 584 ft (178 m) in 1980. Once owned by National Steel, white bass and perch are now caught there.

Benjamin F. Yack Arena is a 3,000-seat indoor arena located in Wyandotte, Michigan. It is used for ice hockey and ice skating, and was home of the Motor City Metal Jackets of the North American Hockey League and the Wyandotte Figure Skating Club. It has open ice available, as well a number of various events throughout the season. The arena has 25,440 square feet (2,363 m2) of space for trade shows, conventions, festivals, and other special events. One event is the Spring Fling hosted by the Parish of St. Vincent Pallotti.
