The Halina Mikołajska Monument is a monument in Warsaw, Poland, in the Downtown disctict, located in the Marshal Edward Rydz-Śmigły Park near the building of the Senate of Poland. It consists of a bronze statue of Halina Mikołajska (1925–1989), actress and activist of the pro-democratic movement in the Polish People's Republic. The monument was designed by Krystyna Fałdyga-Solska, and unveiled on 4 June 2012.

Solec (Polish pronunciation So-lets) is a neighbourhood along the Vistula river in Warsaw, the capital of Poland. It is situated east of Frascati on the southeastern edge of Downtown and south of the Powiśle suburb. Solec was a self governing settlement and town from 1675 until its incorporation into Warsaw in 1791. The name "Solec" is derived from the Polish word for salt – sól – which was extensively traded and transported through the neighbourhood since the late Middle Ages. However, contemporary Solec is mostly occupied by residential tower blocks and commercial buildings.

The Senate (Polish: Senat) is the upper house of the Polish parliament, the lower house being the Sejm. The history of the Polish Senate stretches back over 500 years; it was one of the first constituent bodies of a bicameral parliament in Europe and existed without hiatus until the final partition of the Polish state in 1795. The contemporary Senate is composed of 100 senators elected by a universal ballot and is headed by Marshal of the Senate (Marszałek Senatu). The incumbent Marshal of the Senate is Tomasz Grodzki. Following a brief period of existence under the Second Polish Republic, the Senate was again abolished by the authorities of the Polish People's Republic. It was not re-established until the collapse of the communist government and reinstatement of democracy in Poland in 1989. The Senate is based in Warsaw and is located in a building which forms part of the Sejm Complex on Wiejska Street, in close proximity to the Three Crosses Square and Ujazdów Castle.

Marshal Edward Rydz-Śmigły Park, often simplified to Marshal Rydz Park (pronounced Ritz), is a major parkland in the historic Frascati and Solec neighbourhoods of central Warsaw, Poland. It is situated in the administrative South Downtown (Śródmieście Południowe) district, on the western bank of the Vistula river. The 53-hectare park opened on 22 July 1955 and was continuously enlarged up until 1964.

The Tadeusz Mazowiecki Park, formerly known as the Jazdów Park, is an urban park in Warsaw, Poland, located in the district of Downtown.

The Zbigniew Ścibor-Rylski Monument is a monument in the Marshal Edward Rydz-Śmigły Park in Warsaw, Poland. It is dedicated to Zbigniew Ścibor-Rylski, officer of the Polish Armed Forces, who fought in the Warsaw Uprising during the World War II. It was designed by Marcin Nowicki, and unvailed on 2 August 2019.

The Museum of the Earth in Warsaw (pol. Muzeum Ziemi PAN w Warszawie), established in 1948 and continuing a tradition initiated by Earth Museum Society back in 1932, has been operating within the structure of the Polish Academy of Sciences since 1959. The Museum of the Earth is located in two historical buildings at Na Skarpie Avenue in the center of Warsaw, perched on high Vistula escarpment.

Batory High School is a public secondary school founded on 1 September 1918 and located at 6 Myśliwiecka Street in Warsaw, Poland. It is one of the best and most prestigious high schools in Poland. Famous alumni include among others composer Witold Lutosławski and poet and Home Army soldier Krzysztof Kamil Baczyński, killed during the Warsaw Uprising. The school offers subject-profiled classes taught both in Polish and English. Enhanced education in mathematics, physics, biology, chemistry, humanities (languages and history) and geography is provided. Since 2005, the school offers the two-year IB program intended for students aged 16–19.

The Asia and Pacific Museum, in Warsaw, Poland, was founded in 1973 from a private collection of Oriental art amassed by Andrzej Wawrzyniak, sailor, diplomat, and connoisseur–collector of Oriental art. After returning to Poland, he donated his collection, numbering over 3,000 objects, to Poland. Thus the Museum of the Nusantara Archipelago was created in Warsaw in 1973. In 1973 the Museum, continually enhanced with objects from oadditional regions of the world, became the Asia and Pacific Museum, with Wawrzyniak as its lifetime director and chief curator. The Museum's holdings include over 20,000 objects from Asia, Australia, and Oceania.

Sejm and Senate Complex (Polish: Kompleks budynków Sejmu Rzeczypospolitej Polskiej) are a complex of buildings located in central Warsaw, which house the bicameral Polish parliament – the Sejm and Senate of Poland. The construction of the complex began after Poland regained its independence in 1918. The expansion of the complex continues to the modern-day, with a new building under construction since 2014. All of the buildings part of the complex are managed by the Chancellery of Sejm.

The Sejm (English: Seym, Polish: [sɛjm] (listen)), officially known as the Sejm of the Republic of Poland (Polish: Sejm Rzeczypospolitej Polskiej), is the lower house of the bicameral parliament of Poland. The Sejm has been the highest governing body of the Third Polish Republic since the transition of government in 1989. Along with the upper house of parliament, the Senate, it forms the national legislature in Poland. The Sejm is composed of 460 deputies (singular deputowany or poseł – "envoy") elected every four years by a universal ballot. The Sejm is presided over by a speaker called the "Marshal of the Sejm" (Marszałek Sejmu). In the Kingdom of Poland, the term "Sejm" referred to an entire two-chamber parliament, comprising the Chamber of Deputies (Polish: Izba Poselska), the Senate and the King. It was thus a three-estate parliament. The 1573 Henrician Articles strengthened the assembly's jurisdiction, making Poland a constitutional elective monarchy. Since the Second Polish Republic (1918–1939), "Sejm" has referred only to the larger house of the parliament.
