Cottesbrooke is a village and civil parish in West Northamptonshire in England. At the time of the 2001 census, the parish's population was 144 people, falling marginally to 143 at the 2011 census.The villages name means 'Cott's/Codd's brook'.

Creaton is a village and civil parish in West Northamptonshire, England.

Highgate House was an important Northamptonshire coaching inn and Royal Mail posting station at the village of Creaton, on the Northampton to Leicester road, dating from 1663. The building, much expanded and adapted, is now used as a country house hotel and conference venue, but retains its original appearance and character.

Spratton is a village and civil parish in the English county of Northamptonshire. The local government authority is West Northamptonshire. Before changes in 2021 it was governed by Daventry District Council. At the time of the 2001 census, the parish's population was 1,099 people, increasing to 1,150 at the 2011 Census. Spratton is 7.1 miles north of Northampton, 6.5 miles from Long Buckby and 11.4 miles from Daventry. The village is situated on the A5199 road. The village's name means 'Pole farm/settlement', either made of poles or perhaps a place where they were made or acquired.

Teeton is a village and former civil parish, now in the parish of Hollowell, in the West Northamptonshire district, in the ceremonial county of Northamptonshire, England. In 1931 the parish had a population of 55. In 1866 Teeton became a civil parish, on 1 April 1935 the parish was abolished and merged with Hollowell.The village's name means 'Beacon'. The village is situated on the end of a ridge.

Brixworth railway station on the Northampton and Market Harborough railway opened on 16 February 1859 serving the village of Brixworth, Northamptonshire, England. It ran half a mile (c. 800 m) west of the village towards the village of Creaton along what remains as Station Road. It was part of the London and North Western Railway. Apart from the passenger service the line also enabled a large ironstone field near the village to be developed which had been an important consideration in developing the line.The station lost its passenger service on 4 January 1960 and goods service on 1 June 1964. The line was re-opened for limited periods after that and not closed completely until 15 August 1981. Subsequently, the Heritage Northampton & Lamport Railway has been able to lease the trackbed and is restoring part of the route.

Hollowell is a village and civil parish in West Northamptonshire in England. At the time of the 2001 census, the parish's population, including the nearby hamlet of Teeton, was 353 people, increasing to 385 at the 2011 Census. The village was originally a hamlet of Guilsborough, becoming a separate parish from 1850. Hollowell is mentioned in the Domesday Survey of 1086 as belonging the Bishop of Lincoln having "... 4 villeins with 1 bordar having 1 plough. It was, and is worth, 10 schillings. Bardi held (it) freely."

Spratton railway station is a former railway station which served the village of Spratton in Northamptonshire, England. The station was once an intermediate stop on the Northampton–Market Harborough line, which closed in 1981. A section of the route at Pitsford and Brampton station has now been revived as the headquarters of a heritage railway called the Northampton & Lamport Railway. The preservation society which operates the line has a Light Railway Order up to and including Spratton, and it is likely a station will be rebuilt there in the future. The original signal box has been preserved and is stored awaiting re-use.

Guilsborough House is a country house in Guilsborough near Northampton, England. It is a Grade II listed building.

The Brampton Valley Way is a 14-mile (23 km) rail trail built on the way of the former Northampton to Market Harborough Railway in Northamptonshire, England. It forms what trail managers, Northamptonshire County Council, describe as a linear park. The railway line was closed in 1981 and the 13-mile (21 km) Northamptonshire section was purchased by Northamptonshire County Council with grant aid from the Countryside Commission in 1987, when work began on developing it as a linear park. The 1-mile (1.6 km) section north of the county boundary is owned by Leicestershire County Council. Management of the complete route is now undertaken by Leicestershire County Council, West Northamptonshire Council, and Sustrans. The Brampton Valley Way, from Boughton Crossing in Northampton to Little Bowden Crossing in Market Harborough, was opened in the spring of 1993 and provides recreational access for cyclists and walkers. Further developments to enhance access continue alongside everyday management of the site. The Way forms an offroad section of the Sustrans National Cycle Network Route 6. There are two former railway tunnels on the route, Kelmarsh (322 yards or 294 metres) and Oxendon (462 yards or 422 metres). The tunnels are unlit and so can be quite an experience to travel through, although alternative routes over the tunnels are provided. A section of the Brampton Valley Way runs adjacent to the Northampton & Lamport Railway. The railway is separated from the linear park by a stout safety fence. As the railway extends, so the fence will be erected first to protect members of the public from the works. The Midshires Way passes through the Brampton Valley Way.

Guilsborough is a village and civil parish in West Northamptonshire in England. At the time of the 2001 census, the parish's population was 882 people, reducing to 692 at the 2011 Census.It is at the centre of an area of rural villages between the towns of Northampton, Daventry, Rugby and Market Harborough. There is a secondary school, primary school, fire station, pub, a new village shop including a Post Office (formerly the doctor's surgery) and a new doctor's surgery with pharmacy and a Hairdressers.

Nortoft was once a distinct hamlet between the Northamptonshire village of Guilsborough and the main road connecting Leicester and Northampton (now the A5199) in the English Midlands. However, due to Guilsborough's expansion the two communities are now merged. Nortoft was originally a Saxon hamlet and was separate from Guilsborough through medieval times. Its Saxon origins have been recorded and it was built along the spring line in the fields below Nortoft Cottage. Here lies evidence of possible tofts in the form of building platforms, with a possible watercourse servicing a pond. Nortoft Cottage is built around a very old cob cottage, possibly medieval, and the location may well have been part of the Saxon village settlement, and so is one of the oldest, if not the oldest, house in the village. In Guilsborough village there is recorded evidence of a large Iron Age fortified settlement, and remains of a small fortified Roman settlement can still be seen as a raised bank below the church, at the corner of the High Street and the Coton Road. Cromwell camped at Guilsborough the night before the Battle of Naseby (14 June 1645) and so would have marched through Nortoft on the way to battle.
