Broadway Historic District (Saratoga Springs, New York)

The Pentecostal Collegiate Institute (New York) was a short-lived co-educational collegiate institute operated initially by the Association of Pentecostal Churches of America at Saratoga Springs, New York from September 1900 to May 1902, and from then by Lyman C. Pettit until its closure in February 1903. It is considered an antecedent institution of the Pentecostal Collegiate Institute (Rhode Island) and also Eastern Nazarene College.

The U.S. Post Office in Saratoga Springs, New York, United States, is located at 475 Broadway at the intersection of Church Street in the center of the city. It is a brick structure built in 1910 in the Classical Revival architectural style, and was designed by James Knox Taylor, supervising architect for the Treasury Department. The post office serves the ZIP Code 12866, covering the city of Saratoga Springs. At the time of its construction and opening it had one of the most elaborate lobbies of any post office in the state. Two murals depicting the city's race track were added to it in the 1930s. The lobby has since been altered somewhat, but enough of the building's integrity and original design remains that it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989. It had already been a contributing property to the Broadway Historic District since that was first designated in 1978.

Located in Saratoga Springs, New York, Caffè Lena is the oldest continually running coffee house in the United States. Founded in 1960 by William and Lena Spencer (née Nargi), it claims to be the oldest folk-oriented coffee house, in the U.S., featuring acoustic concerts and cultural events showcasing folk music, traditional music, and singer-songwriters of a wide range, including artist Bob Dylan, who performed for two consecutive nights at the cafè in 1961, a year prior to the release of his debut album.During the COVID-19 pandemic of 2020-2021, Caffè Lena began streaming live music on a donation based pay scale, featuring the music of folk musicians like Kate McDonnell and Natalie Haas, Since Lena Spencer's death on October 23, 1989 (she was born on January 4, 1923), Caffè Lena has been a not-for-profit organization.

Sackatoga Stable is an American Thoroughbred horse racing syndicate in Saratoga Springs, New York. They are best known as the owners of 2003 Kentucky Derby and Preakness winner Funny Cide and 2020 Belmont Stakes and Travers Stakes winner Tiz the Law. The stable is an ownership syndicate where the public can buy minor ownership shares in thoroughbred horses. The name Sackatoga is a portmanteau of Sackets Harbor and Saratoga Springs; Sackets Harbor for the original hometown of Operating Manager, Jack Knowlton, and Saratoga Springs for his current hometown and location of Sackatoga Stable's home office. Initially a partnership with Jack Knowlton as a managing partner since 1995, Sackatoga Stables became an LLC in 2006, now led by Jack Knowlton and Ed Mitzen, with Everard and Tagg also involved. The stable now creates ownership syndicates which have owned and raced many horses over the years, focusing on races with value-added purses for New York-bred horses. The stable works with horse trainer Barclay Tagg and his team. They usually purchase yearlings and two-year-olds in training which are shipped to New Episode Training Center in Ocala, Florida owned by Tony Everard. At New Episode, they obtain their initial training and then go to Tagg for race competition. Sackatoga Stable participates with Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders Association (TOBA), i.e., thoroughbred owners & breeders, professionals, and others who support and promote Thoroughbred ownership (and sponsorship), such as through networking and a high level of education.

The Universal Preservation Hall (UPH), located at 25 Washington Street in Saratoga Springs, New York is a year-round arts and community events venue. It currently seats up to 700 and has a large, open, community room. It also houses the worship space for the Universal Baptist Church, a historically African-American congregation. The building opened February 29, 2020 after being restored and re-fitted as a performance hall and rental venue. The Hall hosts a wide range of events from music to theatre, lectures, weddings, conferences, classes, and exhibits.

The West Side Historic District is a residential area of Saratoga Springs, New York, United States, located west of its downtown section. It is a 122-acre (49 ha) area extending from the blocks west of Broadway to extensions along Church (NY 9N) and Washington (NY 29) streets. The former Franklin Square Historic District is included in its entirety. The neighborhoods of the district are characterized by modest, intact 19th-century houses in vernacular 19th-century architectural styles. Its development was shaped first by the divisions of the original land grant, and then by the construction of railroads into the community. During the city's peak years as a resort in the later 19th century, the West Side housed its working class. In 1994 it was recognized as a historic district and listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Two of the almost 600 properties within it, a house and a cemetery, are listed on the Register in their own right.

The Hiram Charles Todd House, also known as the Marvin-Sackett-Todd House, is located at 4 Franklin Square in Saratoga Springs, Saratoga County, New York. It is a Greek Revival house built in the 1830s by a local hotelier. Later it was home to Hiram Charles Todd, a descendant of one of the original owners who was active in New York state politics. The house remains intact today with almost no alterations. In 1972 it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the very first listing in Saratoga Springs. Later that year it became a contributing property to the Franklin Square Historic District. Two decades later that district became part of the new West Side Historic District. It is currently used as office space for several local businesses.

The Pure Oil Gas Station, located at 65 Spring Street in Saratoga Springs, Saratoga County, New York, is a historic service station. It was built in 1933 by the Pure Oil Co. in the English Cottage style. It was moved to its present location on Spring Street in 1978 after having been located at 522 Broadway. It is a one-story, brick building in three sections, measuring 34 feet by 27 feet. It consists of the main block housing the office with a rear wing and one stall garage. It features a steeply pitched roof of durable tile.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978.The building has now been adapted for reuse as a restaurant.

The Grand Union Hotel was located on Broadway in Saratoga Springs, New York. The hotel began as a boarding house, built by Gideon Putnam in 1802, but grew into the world's largest hotel, before it was demolished in 1953. The initial draw to the area were summer vacationers attracted by the mineral spas. Over time this became a luxury hotel that catered to the wealthy elite. Renovations and expansions saw the hotel grow to serve over 2,000 guests as a destination resort. The Grand Union Hotel Stakes race was run at the Saratoga race track until 1958 and was named after this historic hotel.

Canfield Casino and Congress Park is a 17-acre (6.9 ha) site in Saratoga Springs, New York, United States. It was formerly the site of the Congress Hotel (also called Congress Hall), a large resort hotel, and the Congress Spring Bottling Plant, as well as Canfield Casino, which together brought Saratoga Springs international fame as a health spa and gambling site. At the peak of its popularity it was a place where the wealthy, major gamblers and stars of the entertainment world mingled. The park's artwork includes a statue by Daniel Chester French and landscape design by Frederick Law Olmsted, among others. The site was listed on the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) as the Casino-Congress Park-Circular Street Historic District in 1972, and was then declared a National Historic Landmark in 1987. The later listing excluded some of the property outside the park and halved the overall size of the district. Congress Park is a City of Saratoga Springs park, bounded by Broadway, Spring Street, and Circular Street. The Canfield Casino buildings, built in 1870, 1871 and 1902-03, house the Saratoga Springs History Museum, an art gallery and spaces which host public and private events. Gambling was ended by reformers in 1907.
