Ashmanhaugh is a village and civil parish in the English county of Norfolk, situated some 20 km north east of Norwich. See Inside the churches of St Swithins here & Beeston St Lawrence here. Apart from Ashmanhaugh village itself, the parish also includes Beeston St Lawrence, which was a separate parish until 1935. The village name derives from 'Sailor's/pirate's enclosure' or perhaps, 'Aescmann's enclosure'. The civil parish has an area of 4.82 square kilometres and in the 2001 census had a population of 197 in 74 households, the population falling to 189 at the 2011 census. For the purposes of local government, the parish falls within the district of North Norfolk.[1][2] The churches of Ashmanhaugh St Swithin and Beeston St Lawrence are two of 124 existing round-tower churches in Norfolk.

Sloley is a village and a civil parish in the English county of Norfolk. The village is 11.9 miles (19.2 km) north-north-east of Norwich, 13.6 miles (21.9 km) south-south-east of Cromer and 128 miles (206 km) northeast of London. The village lies 4.7 miles (7.6 km) south of the town of North Walsham. Worstead railway station, on the Bittern Line between Cromer and Norwich, is about 1 km (0.62 mi) from the centre of the village. The nearest airport is Norwich International Airport. The parish had a population of 257 at the 2011 Census.The civil parish of Sloley has an area of 3.04 km2 (1.17 sq mi) and includes the small village of Frankfort. For the purposes of local government, it falls within the district of North Norfolk.

Scottow is a village and civil parish in the English county of Norfolk. It is located some 2.5 miles north of Coltishall and 5 miles south of North Walsham. The villages name means 'Scots' hill-spur'.The civil parish has an area of 8.59 km2 (3.32 sq mi) and in 2001 had a population of 1,774 in 357 households, the population decreasing to 1,424 at the 2011 Census. For the purposes of local government, the parish falls within the district of North Norfolk.Most of the former Royal Air Force Coltishall military airbase lay within the parish boundaries of Scottow. Today, part of the RAF base has been converted into HMP Bure, a prison for adult males, and the rest has been used to create Scottow Enterprise Park focused on helping businesses to grow through providing space in the form of offices and workshops, as well as business support.

The Bure Valley Railway is a 15 in (381 mm) minimum gauge visitors' attraction in Norfolk, England. It was created on the original disused full-gauge bed of a defunct passenger service to incorporate a new, adjacent pedestrian footpath. The railway runs from Wroxham to Aylsham (9 miles or 14.5 kilometres) and is Norfolk's second longest heritage railway. It uses both steam and diesel locomotives. There are intermediate halts at Brampton, Buxton and Coltishall. There are 17 bridges, including a 105-foot (32 m)-long girder bridge over the River Bure in Buxton with Lammas, and the Aylsham Bypass Tunnel under the A140 at Aylsham. The railway is listed as exempt from the UK Railways (Interoperability) Regulations 2000.

Wroxham railway station is located near the villages of Wroxham and Hoveton in Norfolk, and is the southern terminus of the Bure Valley Railway, a minimum gauge operation which reuses some of the trackbed of a former standard gauge branch line. The station is close to Hoveton & Wroxham railway station on the standard gauge National Rail network, and the two are connected by a footpath.

Hoveton & Wroxham railway station is on the Bittern Line in Norfolk, England, serving the village of Hoveton and the adjacent village of Wroxham (the two settlements are usually regarded as one). It is 8 miles 61 chains (14.1 km) down the line from Norwich and is situated between Salhouse and Worstead. It was previously the site of a junction, with the East Norfolk Railway to County School diverging from the Norwich line a short distance north of the station; however the former line closed to all traffic in 1982 and was subsequently dismantled. The station is the last on the double-track section of the Bittern line: it becomes single-track north of here to Sheringham (except for a passing loop at North Walsham and a short section into the station at Cromer). The station is managed by Greater Anglia, which also operates all passenger trains that call.

Hoveton Hall in the parish of Hoveton in Norfolk is a Regency-style country house made of gault brick with a slate roof. It was built between 1809 and 1812, on or near the site of the previous ancient manor house of the same name, by Mrs Christabell Burroughes (1764-1843), daughter and heiress of Henry Negus (1734-1807) of Hoveton Hall, an attorney, and wife of James Burkin Burroughes (1760-1803) of Burlingham Hall, Norfolk. The architect was Humphry Repton. It is a well-preserved historic house of significance on the English Heritage Register. The Negus family had been seated at Hoveton Hall for several generations. The surrounding estate today consists of 120 acres of gardens and parkland and 450 acres of arable land as well as picturesque woodland. The gardens are open to the public during part of the year and there are facilities available for accommodation and special events including weddings.

Broadland High Ormiston Academy is a rural mixed academy in Hoveton, Norfolk for pupils aged 11 to 16. As of August 1, 2018, the school joined Ormiston Academies Trust.

Belaugh is a small village (population 105) increasing to 134 at the 2011 Census, that occupies a bend in the River Bure in Norfolk, England - within The Broads National Park. It is accessible via the road between Hoveton and Coltishall or from the river. It contains no pubs or shops. The main civic features are the church of St Peter, Belaugh and the Old School, which also belongs to the church and is used for parish council meetings and for celebrating the harvest festival. The local broad is Belaugh Broad. Most of the land around Belaugh - about 850 acres (344 ha) - is owned by the Trafford family, who are Lords of the Manor.

Hoveton is a village and civil parish in the English county of Norfolk. It is located within the Norfolk Broads, and immediately across the River Bure from the village of Wroxham. Hoveton is north of the river, with Wroxham to the south, but the whole settlement is commonly referred to as "Wroxham". The villages name origin is uncertain, deriving from either "Hofa's farm/settlement" or perhaps, "ale-hoof farm/settlement". Ale-hoof is probably ground-ivy (glechoma hederacea)

Roys of Wroxham is a family owned group of general stores based in Hoveton, Norfolk. Following a competition in the early 1930s, the store uses the motto "The World's Largest Village Store" in all its advertising and literature.
