Hoveton Hall in the parish of Hoveton in Norfolk is a Regency-style country house made of gault brick with a slate roof. It was built between 1809 and 1812, on or near the site of the previous ancient manor house of the same name, by Mrs Christabell Burroughes (1764-1843), daughter and heiress of Henry Negus (1734-1807) of Hoveton Hall, an attorney, and wife of James Burkin Burroughes (1760-1803) of Burlingham Hall, Norfolk. The architect was Humphry Repton. It is a well-preserved historic house of significance on the English Heritage Register. The Negus family had been seated at Hoveton Hall for several generations. The surrounding estate today consists of 120 acres of gardens and parkland and 450 acres of arable land as well as picturesque woodland. The gardens are open to the public during part of the year and there are facilities available for accommodation and special events including weddings.

Broadland High Ormiston Academy is a rural mixed academy in Hoveton, Norfolk for pupils aged 11 to 16. As of August 1, 2018, the school joined Ormiston Academies Trust.

The Bure Valley Railway is a 15 in (381 mm) minimum gauge visitors' attraction in Norfolk, England. It was created on the original disused full-gauge bed of a defunct passenger service to incorporate a new, adjacent pedestrian footpath. The railway runs from Wroxham to Aylsham (9 miles or 14.5 kilometres) and is Norfolk's second longest heritage railway. It uses both steam and diesel locomotives. There are intermediate halts at Brampton, Buxton and Coltishall. There are 17 bridges, including a 105-foot (32 m)-long girder bridge over the River Bure in Buxton with Lammas, and the Aylsham Bypass Tunnel under the A140 at Aylsham. The railway is listed as exempt from the UK Railways (Interoperability) Regulations 2000.

Wroxham railway station is located near the villages of Wroxham and Hoveton in Norfolk, and is the southern terminus of the Bure Valley Railway, a minimum gauge operation which reuses some of the trackbed of a former standard gauge branch line. The station is close to Hoveton & Wroxham railway station on the standard gauge National Rail network, and the two are connected by a footpath.

Tunstead is a village and a civil parish in the English county of Norfolk. The village is 10.7 miles north north east of the city of Norwich, 15 miles south south east of Cromer and 129 miles north east of London. Tunstead is 2.5 miles north of the settlements of Wroxham and Hoveton. The villages name means 'Farmstead'. 'Hundred Hill' on Bradfield Common may mark the boundary with North Erpingham hundred rather than the meeting-place of the Tunstead hundred. The nearest railway station is at Wroxham & Hoveton for the Bittern Line which runs between Sheringham, Cromer and Norwich. The nearest airport is Norwich International Airport. For the purposes of local government, the parish falls within the district of North Norfolk. At the time of the 2001 census, the parish had a population of 674, increasing to 744 at the 2011 census.

Hoveton & Wroxham railway station is on the Bittern Line in Norfolk, England, serving the village of Hoveton and the adjacent village of Wroxham (the two settlements are usually regarded as one). It is 8 miles 61 chains (14.1 km) down the line from Norwich and is situated between Salhouse and Worstead. It was previously the site of a junction, with the East Norfolk Railway to County School diverging from the Norwich line a short distance north of the station; however the former line closed to all traffic in 1982 and was subsequently dismantled. The station is the last on the double-track section of the Bittern line: it becomes single-track north of here to Sheringham (except for a passing loop at North Walsham and a short section into the station at Cromer). The station is managed by Greater Anglia, which also operates all passenger trains that call.

Hoveton is north of the river, with Wroxham to the south, but the whole settlement is commonly referred to as "Wroxham". The villages name origin is uncertain, deriving from either "Hofa's farm/settlement" or perhaps, "ale-hoof farm/settlement". Ale-hoof is probably ground-ivy (glechoma hederacea)

Roys of Wroxham is a family owned group of general stores based in Hoveton, Norfolk. Following a competition in the early 1930s, the store uses the motto "The World's Largest Village Store" in all its advertising and literature.

The Barton House Railway (BHR) is a miniature railway in Wroxham, Norfolk; it is open on the third Sunday of each month from April until October, plus special events throughout the year.

Wroxham is a village and civil parish in the English county of Norfolk. The civil parish of Wroxham has an area of 6.21 square kilometres, and in 2001, had a population of 1,532 in 666 households. A reduced population of 1,502 in 653 households was noted in the 2011 Census. The village is situated within the Norfolk Broads on the south side of a loop in the middle reaches of the River Bure. It lies in an elevated position above the Bure, between Belaugh Broad to the west, and Wroxham Broad to the east and south east. Wroxham is some eight miles north-east of Norwich, to which it is linked by the A1151 road. The village and broad lie in an area of fairly intensive agriculture, with areas of wet woodland adjoining the broad and river. For the purposes of local government, the parish falls within the district of Broadland although the river, broad and their immediate environs fall within the executive area of the Broads Authority. On the northern side of the Bure is the village of Hoveton, often confused with Wroxham. The village's name origin is uncertain; it is believed to mean 'wrocc's homestead/village' or 'buzzard homestead/village'.

The Trafford Mausoleum, is a memorial in Wroxham, Norfolk, England. Commissioned after the death of Sigismund Trafford Southwell in 1827, the mausoleum was designed by Anthony Salvin in Gothic Revival style. It is a Grade II listed structure.
