Meiji no Mori Minō Quasi-National Park

Katsuō-ji (勝尾寺, Katsuō-ji) is a Buddhist temple in Minō city, north of Osaka, Japan. According to an English language brochure given out at the temple, the site was first occupied late in the Nara period by two priests, Zenchū and Zensan. The Miroku-ji temple was erected in 765 CE. The name "Katsuō-ji" was given by the Emperor Seiwa. The temple was burned in 1184 CE. The present Main Hall and Temple Gate were rebuilt by Hideyori Toyotomi. Katsuō-ji is the 23rd temple in the Kansai Kannon Pilgrimage.

Its name is commonly romanized as "Minō" or "Minoo"; however, the city government officially uses the transliteration "Minoh" in romaji.

If Keihanshin were a country, it would be the 16th-largest economy in the world, with a GDP of nearly $953.9 billion in 2012.The name Keihanshin is constructed by extracting a representative kanji from Kyoto (京都), Osaka (大阪), and Kobe (神戸), but using the Chinese reading instead of the corresponding native reading for each of the characters taken from Osaka and Kobe, and the Kan-on Chinese reading of the character for Kyoto instead of the usual Go-on Chinese reading.

The Keihanshin industrial region (京阪神工業地帯, Keihanshin kōgyō chitai) encompasses the Japanese cities of Kyōto, Ōsaka and Kōbe and their surrounding prefectures. The term Keihanshin is composed of one character (kanji) of each of the cities, but in their Sino-Japanese reading: kei of Kyōto [京]都; han of Ōsaka 大[阪], shin of Kōbe [神]戸.
