Willenhall is a suburb of Coventry in the West Midlands of England. Willenhall is in the south-east of the city adjacent to the suburbs of Binley, Ernesford Grange and Whitley. It covers the area bounded by the Rugby to Coventry railway line, the River Sowe and the city's boundary with Warwickshire. For general election purposes it is part of the Coventry South Constituency and for local elections it forms part of the Binley and Willenhall ward on Coventry City Council. The population of this ward at the 2011 census was 16,991.Willenhall was originally a small village that was absorbed into the city as it expanded. During the Second World War the Chace National Service Hostel was built in the area to accommodate the influx of munitions workers to the City. After the war the estate became established with the building of a large number of council houses. The area today remains mainly residential though to the south-east there is 9 hectares of woodland called Willenhall Wood which has been designated a nature reserve.Willenhall is the location of the Chace Avenue police station that forms part of the Coventry Local Policing Team of the West Midlands Police and houses the Binley and Willenhall neighbourhood team.

Arden University is a private, for-profit teaching university in the United Kingdom. It offers a variety of undergraduate and post-graduate programmes with both blended and online distance learning delivery options. Its head office is in Coventry with study centres in Birmingham, Manchester, London and Berlin. Originally established as Resource Development International (RDI) in 1990, it was later bought by Capella Education and awarded university status by the British government in 2015. Since August 2016, it has been owned by Global University Systems.

Coventry Copsewood F.C. are a football club based in Coventry, West Midlands, England. In 2005, they changed their name from Coventry Marconi to their present name. Currently they are members of the Midland League Division One.

The Sowe Viaduct is a railway bridge on the Birmingham Loop line crossing the River Sowe at the south-eastern edge of Coventry in central England. Built in 1838, it is a Grade II listed building.

The Midland Air Museum (MAM) is situated just outside the village of Baginton in Warwickshire, England, and is adjacent to Coventry Airport. The museum includes the Sir Frank Whittle Jet Heritage Centre (named after the local aviation pioneer and inventor of the jet engine), where many exhibits are on display in a large hangar. It also has a small hangar, and a fenced-off green area where many aircraft are on display in the open.

The Alan Higgs Centre, opened in September 2004, is a leisure centre situated in about 80 acres (320,000 m2) grounds near to the River Sowe, on Allard Way in the southeast of Coventry, England. It was designed by RHWL architects, and built by Galliford Try plc at a cost of about £8 million to their client and the current owner, the Alan Higgs Centre Trust. The funds were provided by the Alan Edward Higgs Charity. In February 2020, the centre received some serious investment from Coventry City Council and Sport England.£13.5m was spent renovating the gym, sauna, steam rooms, jacuzzi, building a new indoor 50m pool and relocating the indoor 3G pitch. The 50m pools floor can be raised to deck level and dropped to 2 metres while also being able to be split in half with an immersible boom. The renovated gym area boasts 100 fitness stations, functional training area and indoor group cycling room that overlooks the 50m pool.

Coventry Airport (IATA: CVT, ICAO: EGBE) is located three nautical miles (six kilometres) south-southeast of Coventry city centre, in the village of Baginton, Warwickshire, England. The airport is operated and licensed by Coventry Airport Limited. Its CAA Ordinary Licence (Number P902) allows flights for the public transport of passengers or for flying instruction.Since October 2017, Coventry Airport has been undergoing transition to a general aviation aerodrome offering a flight information service.

Air Algérie/Phoenix Flight 702P, named Oasis and registered 7T-VEE, was a Boeing 737 owned by Air Algérie and leased by Phoenix Aviation which crashed on 21 December 1994 near Coventry Airport, England. All five on board were killed.

The Electric Railway Museum (formerly the Coventry Railway Centre) was located in Warwickshire, south-east of Coventry, near the village of Baginton. The heritage railway centre was immediately adjacent to Coventry Airport and so it was also known as "The Airfield Line". The site was managed by the Electric Railway Museum Limited, and was home to a sizeable collection of preserved electric multiple units (EMUs), which was the most diverse and historically significant collection of EMUs in the UK, containing unique items that are the last survivors of once typical and numerous classes. In addition, there were small industrial electric locomotives, two small industrial diesel locomotives, and one small industrial petrol locomotive, along with some other railway vehicles, which are owned by third parties. The land was leased from Coventry City Council, though it is located just outside the city boundary and is in the county of Warwickshire. On 9 July 2017, it was announced that, owing to the site being sold for development, the museum would close on 8 October 2017 (the last open day of the year). The site was cleared by the end of July 2018 and all railway items and heritage buildings found new homes.

Riverbank Academy (formerly Alice Stevens School) is a broad spectrum special secondary school situated in Binley, Coventry, England. The school's history dates back to 1909 and it was relocated to its current site on Ashington Grove, Whitley in 1953. The school was previously named after a former Coventry City councillor who worked for the city's children. In January 2015, Alice Stevens School converted to academy status and was renamed Riverbank Academy. The school is now located on Princethorpe way in Coventry.

Ernesford Grange is a suburb of Coventry, West Midlands. It is in the southeast of the city and borders the Binley, Stoke Aldermoor and Willenhall areas. It is part of the Coventry South Constituency. The district was built in the 1960s and the 1970s. It is served by four primary schools, the Ernesford Grange Community Academy, and Corpus Christi church. There is also a leisure centre with an 18 metre long swimming pool. Many of the streets are named after miners who worked in the coal pits, which used to cover most of the area.

Ernesford Grange Community Academy (formerly Ernesford Grange School) is a secondary comprehensive school with sixth form facilities in the Ernesford Grange area of Coventry, England. The school has a very mixed catchment area and, as such, is above the national average for proportion of students receiving free school meals and students with special educational needs. Despite the fact that most students enter the school with below average Key Stage 2 results, Key Stage 3 and 4 results are above that of similar schools. Value added scores show how well the school is doing. It is a major part of the Riverside partnership which links several schools in the local area into a consortium to offer a wider range of subjects at A Level. The school motto is "Together we Achieve".
