Electric Railway Museum, Warwickshire

The Midland Air Museum (MAM) is situated just outside the village of Baginton in Warwickshire, England, and is adjacent to Coventry Airport. The museum includes the Sir Frank Whittle Jet Heritage Centre (named after the local aviation pioneer and inventor of the jet engine), where many exhibits are on display in a large hangar. It also has a small hangar, and a fenced-off green area where many aircraft are on display in the open.

Coventry Airport (IATA: CVT, ICAO: EGBE) is located three nautical miles (six kilometres) south-southeast of Coventry city centre, in the village of Baginton, Warwickshire, England. The airport is operated and licensed by Coventry Airport Limited. Its CAA Ordinary Licence (Number P902) allows flights for the public transport of passengers or for flying instruction.Since October 2017, Coventry Airport has been undergoing transition to a general aviation aerodrome offering a flight information service.

Baginton is a village and civil parish in the Warwick district of Warwickshire, England, and has a common border with the City of Coventry / West Midlands county. With a population of 801 (2001 Census), Baginton village is 4 miles (6.4 km) south of central Coventry, 4.5 miles (7.2 km) northeast of Kenilworth (its post town) and 7 miles (11 km) north of Leamington Spa. The population had reduced slightly to 755 at the 2011 Census. The Lucy Price playing field is situated centrally in the village.

Riverbank Academy (formerly Alice Stevens School) is a broad spectrum special secondary school situated in Binley, Coventry, England. The school's history dates back to 1909 and it was relocated to its current site on Ashington Grove, Whitley in 1953. The school was previously named after a former Coventry City councillor who worked for the city's children. In January 2015, Alice Stevens School converted to academy status and was renamed Riverbank Academy. The school is now located on Princethorpe way in Coventry.

The River Sherbourne is a river that flows under the centre of the city of Coventry, in the West Midlands, in England. The source of the river is in the fields near Hawkes End in the parish of Allesley. It flows for about 8 miles or 13 km in a generally southeastern direction. In the centre of Coventry it flows through Spon End (where it is spanned by Vignoles Bridge) and it is culverted just before it reaches the Inner Ring Road and Spon Street, and continues through the suburb of Whitley. It joins the River Sowe (a tributary of the River Avon) south of the A45 road near Baginton.The name Sherbourne is said to derive from Scir Burna, "clear stream" in Old English. In 1935 and on eight more recent occasions, the upper Sherbourne around Allesley has dried up almost completely.Coventry City Council has plans to open up a stretch of the river which is currently culverted, and runs beneath The Burges, a street in the city centre.The grade II-listed Sherbourne Viaduct carries the Coventry to Rugby railway line over the river near the Charterhouse.

The Whitley plant, situated in Whitley, Coventry, United Kingdom, is the headquarters and one of the engineering centres of Jaguar Land Rover. The facility is a fully integrated design, research and development centre and is used for the design and development of Jaguar and Land Rover vehicles.

Whitley Academy (formerly Whitley Abbey Community School) was a coeducational secondary school and sixth form located in Whitley, Coventry, England. The school was rebuilt and opened on 13 October 2000, replacing the former Whitley Abbey Comprehensive School built in the 1950s, which was one of the first comprehensive schools in Coventry. As of 28 January 2021, the school is permanently closed.In July 2007, Whitley Abbey Community School gained specialist status in Business and Enterprise and was renamed Whitley Abbey Business and Enterprise College. On 1 July 2011 Whitley Abbey Business and Enterprise College became an Academy and was renamed to 'Whitley Academy'.The new academy was formally opened on 13 March 2012 by the Princess Royal. It was one of the seven schools in the RSA Family of Academies, all in the West Midlands, of the Royal Society of Arts. In July 2019 the governors of the school decided to leave the RSA.In January 2021 the school joined the Finham Park Multi Academy Trust.

Arden University is a private, for-profit teaching university in the United Kingdom. It offers a variety of undergraduate and post-graduate programmes with both blended and online distance learning delivery options. Its head office is in Coventry with study centres in Birmingham, Manchester, London and Berlin. Originally established as Resource Development International (RDI) in 1990, it was later bought by Capella Education and awarded university status by the British government in 2015. Since August 2016, it has been owned by Global University Systems.

The Lunt Roman Fort is the archaeological site of a Roman fort, of unknown name, in the Roman province of Britannia. It is open to the public and located in the village of Baginton on the south eastern outskirts of Coventry. The fort has now been fully excavated and partially reconstructed; the wooden gateway rebuild was led by archaeologist Margaret Rylatt, using the same tools and techniques that the military engineers of the Roman Army would have used. In 2001, Anglo Saxon artefacts dating to Sub-Roman Britain were discovered on the site.

Toll Bar End is an area of Coventry, England, that lies on the South East edge of the city. The focal point of the area is the Toll Bar Island, where the A45, A46 and B4110 (London Road) converge. It is a main transport route out of the city and provides access to Coventry Airport and Middlemarch Business Park. Another area of interest is Gary C King museum, that specialises in the Coventry motor industry; the demolished Peugeot Ryton plant lies close by along the A45.

Coventry Zoo was a zoo located in Whitley, Coventry, England. Its owners and directors were members of the famous Chipperfield circus family. The seven and a half acre site was opened to the public in 1966, attracting over 8,000 visitors on the peak day of its first week. However the success did not last long as within a decade local papers were reporting on the "shabbiness, lack of amenities and the conditions in which the animals were kept". Adding to the problems keeper Richard McCormack was charged by a two tonne hippo named Harry and suffered cracked ribs, broken collarbones, a crushed liver and bite marks. Also a leopard called Zac escaped in 1972, although he was later recaptured without injuring anyone. A dolphinarium housed in a geodesic dome was in operation between 1972 and 1975, housing two animals, Chipper and Nero. In 1975 the pair were re-housed at Tierpark Hagenbeck in Hamburg, Germany. The zoo closed in 1980 and the site was sold off and developed as a sports club (currently David Lloyd Leisure) in 1983. A memorable feature of the zoo was the 35 foot (10.6 metre) tall fibreglass Impi which stood over the entrance. After the park closed the figure was considered lost until 2011 when its head was found being kept in a local resident's garden. Since then the fate of the head is unknown.

Baginton Castle, also known as Bagot's Castle, is a ruined castle in Baginton, England. It was originally built in the 12th century by Geoffrey Savage and it was rebuilt as a stone keep during the late 14th century. The surviving ruin that can be seen is of a late 14th-century house, but it is not well known because of its location in an area of woodland on private land. No earthworks or ruins survive of the 12th-century motte and bailey.
